Outside of some intervention from God, how can one believe God? I think that Scripture teaches that God intervenes in several ways: through natural revelation (Romans 1:18-21), through special revelation (Ephesians 3:3), through direct (or perhaps it is indirect) communication (Jonah 3:2; Matthew 10:7; Romans 10:14; 1 Corinthians 2:13), and through the death of Christ (John 12:32, 1 John 2:2). If this is the case, then all men have been given what they need to make a choice to believe God or not to believe God. At the very least, natural revelation would cause men to seek God (Psalm 14:2).

All,
What do you think? Does anyone disagree?

Love in Christ,
Katrina

I agree. All men have been given natural revelation, so there will be no excuse for not "believing" in God. Shoot fire. Even the devils believe. But there is a disqualifier that cuts many off from further revelation and that is their lack of love for the truth.

Everyone would have heard...how they heard is not as important as what they do with what they here.  Either reject it or accept it...
The telephone poles are even in the sign of crosses...

someone once asked me how I know God is real?   I gave them a walk through prophetic fulfillments biblically.

Excellent, Trisha! Prophecy is the acid test for godhood. See:

Isaiah 41: 20That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it. 21Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.    22Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come.    23Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.

Shalom group

Rom.1:16 For I am not ashamed of the glad tidings of the Messiah: for it is the power of unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

1:17 For therein is the righteousness of revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

1:18 For the wrath of is revealed from heaven against all wickedness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

1:19 Because that which may be known of is manifest in them; for hath shewed it unto them.

1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and supernal nature; so that they are without excuse:

1:21 Because that, when they knew , they glorified him not as Elohim, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Basically, Yahvah says that when man looks on His creation, that he or she is without excuse for not believeing in Him.

The atheist, evolutionist, or any man that can look at the stars, sun moon or has stood on the deck of a ship in the middle of the ocean, or looked at the plant life or sea life and understands not that there is a creator is of those that think themselves wise but are in reality are fools. It matters not whether he's heard of Yahshua or been told about GOD the father.

Shalom

I use to think when I was first saved i needed to defend God...defend my belief and faith...One day I was crying bafore the Lord...feeling totally at a loss and like I failed Him because of lack...
I was sobbing to sleep when I heard God tell me tenderly..'
".I have need no for man to defend me...I am a big God, just obey me"
Those sootheing words brought be out from the condemnation I was under and the fear of not being learned enough.
