Matt.16:23  But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee  behind   me , Satan: thou art an offence unto  me :
for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Is Peter a Satan ?
Is Satan using Peter as he did Judas and Ananias & Sapphira?
Did Satan put thoughts into Peter's  mind and Jesus refering him to being like Satan ?
Which one was Jesus really talking to ?

One moment before this God reveal to Peter and Peter said  Jesus is the son of God  ( a good God talked to him)
the next moment he speak evil things.(was Satan talking to Peter).

One moment Peter is a rock and next time he is Bad ?

yep.. the fight between the flesh and the Holy Spirit...and satans influence..the devil would have done anything to keep Jesus from That CROSS and ressurecting.
Goes to show you they sat with Him..saw His miracles..were taught by Him, assisted Him and still can be fleshly letting a oppression work through you or from within you.

It is because Peter was speaking out of selfishness which is a quality the devil posesses that Jesus rebuked him.

BG, if I thought for one second that you were asking someone to explain this passage to you, I'd respond with my understanding of it. But I strongly suspect that you have all the answers to the threads you begin as questions already. The Socratic method you are using is looking to me like a mere smokescreen for baiting someone into becoming the audience for your teachings.

Why don't you save us all the trouble and just go ahead and set forth your teachings?

Some believe we are devils and don't believe in Satan at all.
they use this scripture saying Peter is a Satan or Devil.

I am asking different opinion on ideas or proof .
Did Jesus call him Satan or the evil spirit in him or Just a name calling representing Satan

Jesus identified the spiritual influence prompting Peter's emotional outburst.
