The remnant of her seed Rev.12:17 is more children(man child) in our time.

See there are two births  or maybe three depending on where the scriptures go.

the birth of Christ

the birth of Israel

and the birth that belongs to Zion

Now Jesus has already been born... and not a manchild...I use to think Revelations was discussing the bith of Jesus.  It cannot once the scriptures are searched and studied.

See some think the woman is the old testament church, the birth ..the christ that the devil had tried to kill as well as the new testament birth that occurs from the failure of the devil and victory in Christ..there is similariry to Josephs dream he had in Genesis. I consider this to be a probability but not good enough. 

Later it tells us of her later offspring which I believe is the Church...Zion..Israel...it all has to do with waht I will call something called fusion imagery.  Where a symbol can take on more than one meaning

The stars can also mean the tribes of Israel as well.

There is also a birthing in the Spirit with travail that happens... thus bithing and bring forth without physical signs of pregnancy... thus being Spiritual pregnacy.

I do not wish to confuse anyone yet I think there are many options here to truth and do not want only my personal belief to be of influence.

Woman clothed with the sun = new covenant(brighter than the moon)

Standing on the moon = old covenant promises(reflexion of the sun)

yup...I find that to be what i lean towards...i do see the woman as Zion... which makes sense put together with the apostles who also believe each one is from a tribe of Israel...

So if we believe the woman is the church

than the man child has to be the overcomers  that are caught up to the throne

when they die or go when Jesus comes for them in our day(I hope).

 

The man child is caught up to rule with a rod of iron. Rev.12:5  And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron

Rev.2:26  And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

To my belief this started with the early church until the remnant of her seed which is our day.

 

 

that is how I am thinking...it may also come to the final dispensation as we will rule with Christ.   which is the promise for those within Zion...jew and gentiles who believe.  The final truth in this age..We will be ruling over the nations.(.hmmm after the new earth and new heavens are created will we have nations again...nations remain during the millenium...I never thought to wonder about that...I guess each tribe will have its nation...hmmmI don't know the answer to my own question..) lol

When I take these things to Jesus as I am sure you do,more mysteries will be revealed in time...

It is hard to cast down my own thinking to give way to Gods mind ....especially when a new truth is forming...I find that it all has to be filtered through the word,  The word as we have it written as well as the Word as we Know Him,Jesus.

We have a early and latter rain church mention in

James 5: 7  Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it,

                  until he receive the early and latter  rain .

 

The time in between early and latter = 1,260 years plus.            until the restored church in our days.

 

 

The 12th chapter is really telling about the Devil coming against the church during the early church until the latter church.

Chapter 13 is telling what the Devil is using to fight against the church during that time . = The Beast system - Papal Rome and the Revive and Image Beast

hmmm...I gotta think about that..you may be correct...I think this goes back to Daniel seven. there are two beasts. I think the first one is also in ghapter 17... Let me look...

okay I am in Revelations 17 which talks about the harlot..babylon.  This beast is described as the beast thatwas and is not and yet is in verse 8.

Okay I do not consider it to be the RCC at face value in todays world...I do believe it is the symbolism of the spiritual value of the old roman church as well as todays church it the sense that the woman who sits there is very much representing the Godlessness of the world religion of that time...joined with the government which is the beast. Rome was in Johns mind for I believe it is the only way he was able to relate the abomination..which I believe Babylon to be the whole Godless world system that is to come..or may be here...

The 1260 days you mention is most likely the tribulation period. 42 months of thirty days each..

You know something I juse realized the offer given to Jesus during the temptation in His wilderness is the same offer given to the man/antichrist who accepts it..in which Jesus rejected it

Beast with two horn = for the moment I think it two powers of religions

Rev.17 Beast = harlot and her daughters = Two false mixed religious groups

plus it gets more power from the ten kingdoms.

 

Eighth is of the seven = revival of the last of the seven and plus the image

 

Using Daniel 7 last beast is a long time span (alittle over 2000 years )and with combonation of different leaders but still the Iron Kingdom. (iron teeth)

Using Daniel 2 metalic image the Iron is still part of the last kingdom. (Rome)  Rome was the Iron kingdom = it is to be iron and clay also in our day for it is the last
