spoke with my bro last night in length...
lots of interesting data on "ike"...there are
quite a few people who are still without power!
Seems if the main electri lines are streaming in
your rear yard, they are not accessible to the
"wiremen in the bucket". This makes for a
very slow process in repairs. He said, the electric
co. was sending out meter-readers with the various
linemen, just to keep them company. (giggle)
this entire senario is quite laughable, to say the least!
He's started a new board called "High definition Forum"
deals with hi def TV's. Seems he's weary of the political arena,
and has bowed out as mgr of CNBC board. sent me an
old pic that was posted 4 yrs ago..surprisingly the more
things change, the more they stay the same...
Galveston is still off=limits for most residents..something
he did point out, that had not made the news...
The Balinese Room, which was a casino/resturant built
during prohibition, and over the water, on the seawall,
is "gone"....nothing....amazing! It had withstood many
hurricanes over the years, until "ike" brought her down.
