Why Are We Not Satisfied With Christ?

When the Israelis came out of Egypt with Moses God fed them with manna, "bread from heaven".  They were not satisfied with the manna and wanted other food.  The Lord Jesus said, "I am the bread from heaven".  Just as in Moses' day, Christians today are not satisfied with the bread from heaven, the manna Jesus Christ.  They want more thrills.  They want Godzilla instead of God; they want Spiderman and Batman instead of the Saviour-Man and the Son of Man.

God grant me please, that I always be satisfied with Christ and Christ alone and not need the carnal thrills this world has to offer, for only God can change the human heart.  May God grant it you too, dear reader, for I want to see you in love with the Lord Jesus Christ and satisfied in Him.

I try to obtain that place in Christ and have ask myself why is it not enough Lord?
No matter how much I pray and I have prayed 6 and 7 hours straight many times no matter how much I read the Bible and I have read from front to back in 3 months and several times since. I have the Holyghiost and still my flesh wants more. It is a battle everday. I ask myself what is wrong with me am I only called and not chosen. I try to lay my life down and be in complete surrender. My biggest goal and desire is to simply please God and be called His friend. At times this unatainable to me. My cry has always been use me Lord send to your fields for harvest. Lately I'll be happy to just make it.

Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy-laden and I will give you rest.
