Main Event \BUD Heavyweight Championship Battle Royal Phoenix Winterborn Menacide Drew Stevenson White Trash Jade Seifer Sin-Dee (Best 2 out of 3 for Judging) Writer: Damain WINNER: SEIFER 1. Phoenix Winterborn: I'm actually glad, and impressed that you decided to roleplay for this match. I think you know that you didn't win, but I admire your heart for jumping in there with some big names of the circuit. Keep up the good work, and someday soon you may end up winning something like this.
Menacide: Er..you definitely came out of nowhere, that's for sure. Don't know who you are, but it's easily seen you wanted this most of of everybody. You started off first and took it slow. When you started off I was very interested, I think mainly because I was wondering who the hell you were. However, as time went on, I slowly began to lose interest. Then when people like Seifer got into it, and Drew posted a good one, you exited completely. Not everyting is about dialogue. You can shoot for sure, but there were no attention catchers, and I think that's why I lost interest. You did hold your own against them though, good job indeed.
Drew Stevenson: I was surprised when I saw that you had entered because I heard from someone that you weren't interested in becoming Champion again. Maybe because you saw Seifer show up, and you jumped at a match with him. Your first was pretty good. It definitely caught my interest. I'm guessing the old forest was a metaphor for BUD. Clever. I wasn't to impressed with your second. I like the face change by the way. I think it suits better than HBK. I enjoyed your third the most out of them all; the judgement of all the contenders. Your fourth didn't interest me until the very end. "Guess you were right, you are the last of a now DYING breed." Nice touch. Your fifth was decent, and a good ending to wrap it all up. However, you posted three rps within of like less than four hours. Definitely doesn't look that good, especially since it was on Deadline day. Was a major turn off.
Seifer: Well, you never cease to impress do you? I enjoyed your first pretty much. I liked the show idea and I actually found myself lol-ing (literally) at the start of it. By the way, I'd like to interject that your prologes are always brilliant. You definitely know how to catch someone's attention, and are clever about it. Sparring with Mayweather, priceless. "I'd bounce around feds like my name is Stevenson" Ha. The White OBM, nice. "I'd offer you to take a seat on Seifta's lap but you'd probably try and cop a feel and I usually charge for that". Your third was pretty brilliant as well. "Sometimes the best course of action isn't rapid fire", and you proved that. Awesome job spacing them out, giving your opponents the time they wanted, while still tearing them apart.
All of the others managed to no-show, got tied up or something, I don't know. At first it looked as if Menacide was the only one in this thing, and that he would take it for sure. However, once Drew and Seifer got into it, I think we all knew it would come down to the both of them, and it did. In the end, I think Seifer took this one though, even though Drew did one more rp, quality over quantity. I thought it a bit shady Drew posted three rps on the last day all within mere short hours of each other, while Seifer spaced his out. He was cunning, he was brilliant, and he timed his pieces out better than Drew, while still beating him out. Not only that, but Seifer's works were simply more interesting than Drew's. I'm not saying Drew's were bad, because they were definitely good reads, I'm just saying Seifer's were better. Phoenic and Menacide, you didn't do bad either, keep up the good work and you'll get there. I'll be looking forward to Seifer/Stevenson at 2009 Wayz 2 Die :) 2. This comes down to three because the others either didn't do anything, or only done one role-play. Seifer Drew and Menacide it's an interesting mix if you sit and think about it. I must admit Menacide picked it up and ran with the ball on this set of role-plays. I actually loved what he put out. Seifer, as per normal excels at what he does, he can make you so entranced with reading his stuff that you honestly lose track of time. Then we have Drew, now Drew is someone who once they set their minds up they think they can do anything. Not that that's a bad thing mind you. He had two high profile matches and it seemed he wanted to go after this title more which seriously I don't blame him. All three done stand up jobs for this match and much like Kitt and Gypsy there can only be one winner. I have to go with Seifer on this, Drew done excellent, but at times he just lacked something to me. Menacide again excellent, I love the fact you are someone from the old BUD and having it as a mystery as well it wicked, I just personally don't think you pulled out your absolute best. Seifer has always managed to captivate me and others no matter where he is or what the role-play is about, these three guys went balls to the wall and kept up with each other. This is what title matches are made of and you know what all three of you congrats on that. You all stood out you all made BUD look fucking awesome. - Match 9 - Faith Rivers vs. White Trash© Bytch Championship Writer: Ernie WINNER: FAITH RIVERS 1. Faith gave more revolving the match and the title where as Trash just kind of roleplayed. I was really hoping to see this match explode but unfortunately, it didn’t. 2. Unfortunantly, WT no-showed her title defense. Go her. Faith Rivers gets the title. 3. Well they only put out one a piece and White Trash’s had nothing to do with said match so Faith wins. - Match 8 - Jay Styles vs Roach BUDvision Championship Bout (DSL had to pull-out) Writer: Heather WINNER: JAY STYLES 1. This match was ok but I expected better. From the turnout however, I give it to Jay. He had more to say and focused on her more and she just kind of disappeared. Not bad but could have been better. 2. Jay says he posted three roleplays for KK, but in reality, he only did two considering the first was all about the Heavyweight title battle royal. While Roach labeled two roleplays as her first KK rp, so it seemed like there was a mixup here. Anyway, I've always like Roach, simply because her character is unique, and her roleplays intruging. Roach came out of the gate against DSL originally, but it was still a decent roleplay. Jay's first (really labeled his second) was heavier with the dialogue than Roach's but he also had more to go off of. On another note, Jay hardly ever gives any description, close to no narration whatsoever. It's always cost him points, and it'll cost him this time too. Roach's second easily overpowered Jay's second, and it's a done deal. Jay, get some narration, some description in there. Not everything is simply about dialogue and talking. Roach for BUDvision Champ. 3. I must say I like the Roach character, its definitely different to what you see normally on the fedding scene. It’s good to see Jay back as well. There were only a few from each on this, both didn’t really say much of anything really although I did highly like Roach’s line of "You will get beat by a girl and like it" or however it properly went, that was genius. It’s hard to pick a winner in this, but I have to go with Jay for this one, Roach however was damn close, and keep up the work you are awesome. 4. Jay styles - to be honest I felt the effort put out by both could have been a bit more forthcomming however I'm only here to judge on what I see. and what i see is Jay styles putting out a decent effort in one rp and a "clinching" effort in another. he wins it because there was really more there and i felt that although roaches rp was nicely done it was just a rehash of what styles said earlier. - Match 7 - Phoenix Winterborn vs. Leaky Format© GWE Championship Bout Writer: Jon WINNER: PHOENIX WINTERBORN 1. This match was a great start for the GWE strap and both did very well. Leaky came out with some pretty good stuff using the auto industry which was a solid idea but Phoenix seemed more like he wanted it. Both did good but I think that Phoenix was just better overall. 2. This actually turned out to be a pretty decent match, even though it was obvious who wanted it more. Phoenix posted several days before Leaky, and Leaky did a total of four roleplays in a matter of two days. So he already looked bad. Both put fowarth a good effort, despite Leaky blitzing with his rps. I think it comes down to the fact that Leaky tends to live in his own world, and think something make sense, when it really doesn't. I try to make sense of it, but I end of confused a lot of the time. Phoenix on the other hand, saw this, and poked fun at the fact that Leaky appeared not to know what he's talking about. Phoenix came off a lot more relaxed, and his roleplays grew in length as well as quality as time progressed. In the end I think Phoenix simply out did Leaky. Leaky knows how to post a good roleplay from time to time, this just wasn't one of those times. His ego got the better of him. 3. Firstly Phoenix may you please change your layout? The info boxes down the side makes me need to scroll through your role-plays and that, unfortunately annoys the shit out of me. Secondly, Leaky all the ways you move the text from middle to the side, slightly annoying too cause most times it makes no sense to me. Now that that’s out of the way let’s get on with you. You both kept things short and mostly to the point which I love. Obviously you have a history with each other the only problem is most the time I was confused with what was actually speech for Leaky, what was actions and what the stuff on the side was. Phoenix was centered he was easy to understand, for this match I am going with Phoenix. - Match 6 - Drew Stevenson vs Zarek Lyle© Bragging Rights Bout Writer: Keith WINNER: TBD 1. Zarek Lyle hands down Drew opted to focus more on the title match and Zarek as per usual blew me away with his role-plays. I could always be captivated by the way he writes. 2. Ok I want this said at the outset. this is what it fucking is about. everyone keeps talking about great matches and shit but this one was to me out of the ballpark. this is what it's about everything that needed to be there was, ability talent style focuse. the technical aspect was expected great and from a story aspect. Zarek had me deep in there the storytelling was beautiful almost mosiac it led you and brought you where it wanted to go and made you damn well happy to follow along. and through the entire thing you kept the connection, you felt the emotion and the drive. the hunger and desire. and from Drew, well shit his focuse was amazing especially considering his wide angled story ideas lately. I truly enjoyed reading every word. and I find myself at a weird spot. I don't want either of you to win. fuck i want you to rp for another three weeks just to see how damn far you guys can go. to see how much wire you got left in you....but unfortunantl my opinion don't mean jack. Drew wins and i have to say it's on blood alone. technique from both was amazing and the stories clicked. in the end it came down to what my mind jumped when i asked "which should i read again" and to that answer it was "read drews" and so in that answer I have mine and you have yours. Drew wins it. 3. Wow, what a match! Props to both guys, when you fight as many times as they have, people seem to enter into a slump where it shows they're tired of facing each other, but not here. Maybe because a few of them weren't one on one that enabled them to give us some back story on their previous matches, it was refreshing to see them remind of what's gone down in the past between them. For starters I give the edge to Drew for creativity because his playing with death and judgment was a remembrance of times past in BUD, and for Stevenson to do so really showed that he's able to offer a different style to his character. Not to say that Zarek wasn't creative though, his story presentation with his son and promo in church were solid. That being said I give the edge in terms of speech quality to Zarek as his words felt powerful and stronger. Again, not that it doesn't mean Drew didn't do well too, cause he did for sure.
This match was very back and forth for me, Drew came out strong and made me think 'man, he's got the edge, this could be tough'. Then Zarek came back and had nice answers and counters for everything so I got to thinking that Zarek's going to have the edge. Drew came back and countered great, showing that he knew what he was talking about in terms of their past. So it went back to him, then Zarek came back and retorted everything Drew said, with facts behind him. At that moment I thought that it went back to Zarek and then he just finished off strong and continued to dispell what Drew had going for him, even making references to him taking another match. In the end I felt that Zarek held the advantage and produced slightly better rp's than Drew this time around. Another great match, thanks for the read boys. Zarek Lyle wins. - Match 5 - Gypsy© vs, Kit Black© Franchise Championship Rematch Bout Writer: Roxy WINNER: KIT BLACK 1. This was a very good match. I felt that both women really put on a great show and it was so close but Kit’s stuff was a tad more creative. I liked her ideas and everything but however, Gypsy countered Kit very well and thus really made her work for this one. This one was extremely close but I thought that Kit just had a better night. 2. Gypsy was the first to post, and it was obvious she didn't have much to go off of. It took Kit a bit longer to post, but she came out of the gate pretty good. She actually told a story. Kit's second was bloody brilliant. I love her creativity. It pwns. I've always said creativity should mean more than just a regular dialogue roleplay. It's the attention of the reader that you need. Gypsy's second was on the right track, and but not enough to take out Kit's combined two. Her third did a good job rebuttong as well. Gypsy's third was entertaining, which is surprising, because it also seemed rushed, judging by her 'one minute before the deadline' post, ha. Nice job to both, but Kit retains, well done. 3. This is what matches are made from, two people who get out there and work it. I loved both sets of role-plays you ladies placed out. You were both evenly matched and I love that you make it hard for a judge. It’s really hard to pick a winner here, you both done awesome given it was a title match too, and this actually can bring back a lower mid card title into glory which is totally awesome. Let’s start with Gypsy, your first role-play was more centered on your past within the last few months which is cool it shows the mind frame she has been in, what she needs, her desires her confusion ect the only problem is, for a match role-play I think you kept on it a little longer then you should have but you managed to come back to the point which is your match your title. I give you props for that not many people can make it work the way you did. You’re second you paid attention to your opponent, you managed to realize you needed to go one up on the blog to what not and it’s good to see the way you girls can counter each other. Now onto Kitt, you girl have skill, it’s not often you see someone new who can come in and not be so long winded with useless shit, you get to the point and I fell so in love with your opening piece, it just fit perfectly. Now I know there has to be a winner here, unfortunately I can’t pick it to be a tie, although I wish we could it would be awesome for BUD to have dial champions like in WWE where it was Chyna and Jericho, that was piss funny and I think in this case it actually would work. Anyways enough babble, I have to give it to Kitt, again both ladies were awesome, I really wish I could give it to both of you. Gypsy you done nothing wrong it was a matter of sitting down and really seeing which was at the time better and to me Kitt was focused as were you, but you were also focused on other stuff, however once again fucking awesome work the both of you. I would love to see the rematch too. |
