Happy belated New Year to all.

Things have kept pretty busy here with the mild weather permitting more outside activity than usual this time of year.

Plus the deer season (ends tomorrow) & large bag limit has kept me busy.

MY son is out in the field right now. I opted out this last weekend.

I had just finished grinding the last of all the scraps left after deboning & packaging the steaks (with added beef fat) into hamburger Thurs & was glad to be done with it. Didn't want to spend the time required to dress & package more, lol. I know, the meat is worth it but without the kids at home, it doesn't take much for the two of us. Of course the boy may put me back to work doin' it anyway if he has good fortune this weekend.

Dee

Oh yeah Dee, we've really had great weather this winter so far. But, that can make us have less excuses to loaf & laze through the winter with our feet up in front of the fire, lol. Hard to come up with an excuse, when the wife gets home, if nothin' gets done while she's at work.

But, overall it is less work since we heat with wood.

Pourin' down rain, glad I already got all the deer I wanted in the freezer. Would be miserable out today.

My son is out in it, but he has a "Pop-up" Cammo tent set up as a blind and should be dry. He' got one earlier this season any way.

His friend got one yesterday, so decided not to go out today.

Yeah, too wet for me today. Will just go with what I already have for this year.

Well, another deer season under our belts. Hope every one got plenty of meat. We should have, with the 3 doe a day bag limit this year.

I don't think even with this year's limit we put a dent in the population, so hopefully, well get the same limit next year.
