The Saturday fellowship included cookin' up some tenderloin that the "big" boss, lol, brought with him from a huntin' trip to his family's farm in Oklahoma a few weeks back, was a good incentive, 'cuz.....
Sunday turned out to be a whole lot better for Chris (our #2 son) and his guests. The rain had all moved out & the "white stuff" never did materialize. The wind did pick up though during the morning session, a breezy 20mph, gusting to 28-30...brought the ambient 30°F to a wind chill of 18F up in the swaying stands, glad they didn't get seasick, lol. The wind died down almost completely for the afternoon hunt & it was quite a pleasant deer hunting temp of 38F.
The "bosses" each got a doe in the mornin' & Chris got a nice size buck 'bout dusk as seen in the pic below:
All in all, a nice finish to a weekend that started out so dubious, weather-wise.... and a great outing for those stuck in the concrete jungle 5 days a week. Not to mention all the good eatin' ahead for them, oohhh yeah.
