There is absolutely no offense intended in this rant...but I have to get it out of my system!!! The whole "silly Starbucks fiasco" has left me reluctant to communicate with members of this group...I like this group...I like it very much...but when all I do is express an opinion regarding "corporate bullshit" and it "blows up in my face", causing at least one member to quit the group, I can't help but feel very badly...even though my remarks were entirely misunderstood. NOT ONCE did I refer to ANY PERSON...I spoke of "Starbucks" and other corporations in general...yet somebody somehow managed to take it personally...So how can I enjoy participating in the group when I'm afraid that any remark I might make could cause another ridiculous misunderstanding???
This is the kind of thing that takes all of the fun out of a group...I have never shown disrespect towards another individual online, and I doubt I ever will...so being made to feel as though I intentionally hurt somebody's feelings really defeats the purpose of participation in a group...it also begs the question: What have they got against me???

I really want to be impartial but yep, this is a problem ... this group is here for people who want to let loose and speak thierminds, I could give a shit less if we all have the same opinion or not ... the idea is to respect those opinions or at least, take them with a grain of salt ....

I would delete this group before watching it become a battle zone and furthermore, I don't want the negative bullshit in here to begin with ... now, I'm sure I will seem like I've taken CG's side here but he is right as I just finished reading every post in that thread ... Not once did CG say anything about Heidi, in fact, he did not even speak to her ... he was talking about the corporation, now if the time was taken to read said posts, none of this would have happened in the first place ...

Were all adults here, if ANY of us are going to get into a huff over someone's opinion then we have some  REAL issues .... I think alot of it is corporate bullshit too, does that make me an asshole now?? I don't think for one second that  people from Starbucks sat down and said "in order to make the people's day nicer, let's just give out free coffee" it IS a marketing gimmick, anyone can see that because let's face it, the big guys don't give a
%uckin thing away for free ....

So that is my rant and for the record that thread has been deleted ... have a wonderful friggin day!

Well my contribution to this rant (since I missed the fiasco, I'm ok with that) is that I am out of beer.  And I think that any wealthy corporation should buy me a 6 pack.
