Yesterday my day nurse is making formula for Kaden (which I usually do) and I'm watching her and it's really clumpy ... the formula not the nurse... Anyhoo, I asked her if she used the wisk cause it wasn't looking too good. She then realizes that she has filled his container with freezing cold tap water, after I had put a pot of warm freshly boiled water right in front of her face saying "use this for his formula, it's sterilized water". Ok, she says, then screws up anyway.
Once she is done that she comes over and sits with me at my computer desk to simply shoot the shit, meanwhile Kaden is freaking out cause he just got his first tooth and probably feels like hell. So I get up to soothe him and she just keeps on talking away. I hate to be an asshole here but these people are getting paid 22 dollars an hour to take care of my son, you think that would be enough motivation to do thier job correctly...
Then, I ask her to wash out his bi-pap machine (what Kaden uses at night to help him breathe a little easier) well she breaks the fucking thing and ya know what? It's worth a couple grand and guess who is under contract to care for this equiptment, that's right folks ME ... she says "opps" then comes back to my computer desk and fucking sits down again ...
I am really at my wits end here guys, I know without a doubt that I need help but it seems like once these people are comfy in my house they think they don't have to work anymore, this is not a sweing circle, this is my son's life were talking about here ... and that is not something I take lightly espicially considering he is a palliative child. Now, to top everything off, I have no weekend staff for the next month cause I had to let that incompetent PIN go, the agency says to me "If you would have kept your nurse you would not be in this mess" ... Umm asshole, if you would have sent me a COMPETENT nurse in the first place I would not have had to fire her... Idiots ....
Then today my formula gets dropped off so I go to open it and make some up and guess what? They have sent me weight gain formula for a preemie ...... my son is 9 months old and actually a little overweight for his age... he is gaining more fat than muscle and the muscles are what we NEED to get bigger so that Kaden will have a better chance ....
I just want to SCREAM MY HEAD OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!
