I look in the mirror
only to see
A hurt and lonely man
staring back at me.
The person I knew
so long ago
Has grown up now
to be over forty years old.
His tear-stained face
and broken heart
Are evidence to show
his world fell apart.
But she went on living
all of the while.
She left him alone,
he and their child.
Now deep in depression, I see...
the reflection is me.
