What is going on with college basketball?  2 weeks ago the Spartans were no good. 

And now they could feasibily win the whole thing and they have not even played anyone who is ranked!  You know I just think the whole dang big ten is weak! 

 

We have no powerhouse in any one player any more.  The Lebron James' of the world are no more in college basketball.........at least not real visable/  It almost looks as though they are now recruiting the mediocore player...............a guy who is gonna stay 4-5 years and really help build a program.. 

The days of 2 years in college playing for a school and then bail are pretty much gone, at least I hope so. 

 I remember what the guy from Syracruse said last year after they won the national championship.  he went back to the school in the gym where all the fans were clapping their hands and chanting "1 more year"  when the Syracruse guy (he wears a rag on his head- you know like Sonny does.......on WEEKENDS ONLY) ...can't think of his name Carmello that's it.said, "I thought college was 4 years."  That of course brought uproarious cheers from the fans.......................and then he went pro the 1st chance he got.

 

Michigan State had a point guard named Marcus Taylor, he did the same thing.  Once his dad got him an agent he could not return to MSU.  He went "pro" noone wanted him, I think he is somewhere playing ball probably in some 3rd world country.  (I shouldn't say where because I honestly have no idea where he is)

 

In other words he makes next to no money and I never hear about him anymore.  Now Marcus was good as point guard at Michigan State, he was far from great and certainly did not have it to go pro, even I picked that up.  Actually, he played better in hs than he did at Michigan State........He was fabulous in the hs state tournaments.  Matt and I went to the final state tournament.  Marcus went to school where Shelli (Matt's wife went) Waverly hs.

 

That guy from Carolina went to hs and college when and where Shelli did (Mohammad).

 

Bottom line College basketball is a different game, at least I hope it is.  Can you imagine if the NFL loses their appeal Maurice brought about oh my god, what will happen to football!

 

Why can't that guy follow the rules?  Why does he have to make new rules for HIM?

 

If he gets in .....oh I would love to see the Ray Lewis' of the world take him apart.
