A good day at my house Steelers 31 Bengals 17 West Virginia 91 Villanova 87 VILLANOVA, Pa. ?All those tough games West Virginia played in November are starting to pay off now. The No. 24-rated Mountaineers, an 11 1/2-point underdog, overcame a 15-point second-half deficit to stun previously undefeated and No. 3-ranked Villanova, 91-87, Sunday afternoon at the Pavilion in Villanova, Pa. |

Ray, I heard it this morning that WVU won last night! I actually thought of ya. I don't follow WVU basketball, but I was thrilled to hear them pull off an impressive upset! Take me home, Country Roads to the place, I belong, West Virginia Mountain Momma, Take me home Country roads! I'm getting more and more homesick as time goes by. mj |

JT, I'm very pleased with WV's #5 ranking. In my book, Texas and USC are 1 & 2 and Penn State is very deserving of the #3 spot and Ohio State belongs up there too. I would have loved to had White and Slaton on the field against the Hokies, I know the outcome would've been different. Ray |

But the great news Ray.... And I am SURE you know.. White and Slaton are FRESHMEN. This morning I got up WAY early this morning and found a GREAT predition for WVU for next season. Stewart Madel ranks WVU 6 next year out of the shoot. 6. West Virginia -- The Mountaineers made a statement for next year with their impressive Sugar Bowl win over Georgia. It seems hard to believe, but the eye-popping stars of that game, quarterback Pat White and tailback Steve Slaton, were freshmen this season.
