Not to much has changed with my Dad.  He no longer is on the respirator just oxygen.  He still has the feeding tube in.  As long as they keep him sedated he does fine, but when he is awaken his breathing gets very difficult and his blood pressure goes sky high.  Right now they are keeping him sedated so that his lungs can heal.  I guess the pneumonia was hard on his lungs.  His bronchial tube is very tight so me makes a terrible squeaking sound.  He's very anxious and scared.  It really hard to watch him in this condition.  Hopefully in a few days he will be a lot better.  I'll keep you all posted!  Joyce
