Just a little update on my Dad!  Not much has changed.  He's still very weak with a feeding tube.  They had him sit in a chair today for 2 hours but he was very uncomfortable.  His speech is getting a little better.  He is still unable to swallow.  The doctor really can't explain much because his tests aren't showing much.  The MRI on the initial report didn't show a stroke even though he is showing signs of one.  He seems to hear everything even though his eyes are closed.  He grins when something funny is said.  I keep telling him he has been through worse so he can get over this hump with no problem.  Keep him in your prayers!

Thanks everyone!  He is about the same, but he is one tough cookie!  Loosing my Mom only 7 months ago, it hard to think that I could loose my Dad too!  I really appreciate all the prayers!

Hey Joyce,

Just wanted to let you know that you all are still in my thoughts and prayers!!  Keep that head high, those feeding tubes can come out as fast as they put them in.  I remember when they put one in for my Mother, I was devasted I thought that it would never come out.. well much to my surprise it did!!  Know that I am always here if you need to talk, I was in a similar situation and know that it is VERY difficult to be optomistic at times, but always remember that positive thinking will bring positive things!!

Hugs,
LaRae
