Hey Lyn

Just wanted to check in and let you know what's going on. You know I would've had more than my share of comments on Sunday's loss, except I was in the hospital Sunday A.M., about to undergo surgery to remove my gall bladder!

Had a horrible gallstone attack at 1:15 A.M., and went to the hospital at 2.

Just was checked out today, but it'll be a little while 'til I'm "up and running"

at full strength again.

But I'll be back, don't worry. So you can keep me in your prayers, and my mom

(she had a recurrence of her cancer, and starts chemo a week from Friday).

Hope all's well with the Heals.

Just a quick update from So Cal:

Doing much better at this time. The "surprise surgery" caught all of us off guard, but

if the gall bladder looked as bad as the doctor said, it had to come out. I'm getting

more strength every day (and relying on less pain medication), but the doctor still

wants me off work for a week. Considering I still can't get a pair of pants around

my waist without some discomfort (but my new Nike sweats are getting a good

workout), I'd say that's a good idea.

Now if we can continue the prayers for my mom: her chemo treatment starts

Friday, and she's a little scared.

I'm sure the Steeler victory today helped you and your mom cope a little better. We all have to overcome adversity sooner or later . . . glad both of you are hanging in there.
