They are really beginning to become a real pet peeve of mine!  My job requires me to  work on the internet about 8 hours a day.  I have like 2 windows open the beginning of the day, by lunch time I have maybe 35 uninvited  "ads".
 
I know there is pop up ad preventer software but I also know it interferes with other certain software.........MSN is one of them.
 
It is necessary to prepare to leave for lunch earlier than I used to have to because I have to X out my internet groups and there is always something that pops up

this is an excellent program and you don't even know it is running. Just make sure to update it regularly. It is free and is a full functioning program. I have been using it for a year.

XP users.....IE comes with a pop up blocker if you update to Service Pack 2...
