Do you have to lock every lock in your house?  Can you not even go into the 7-11 without  locking your car?   Do you have alarm systems for your cars and your house?

Why do you think you behave the way you do?

luckily, I never had to lock my doors at my house.
we're not crime free here but I feel safe keeping my doors unlocked.
I do lock my car when I go somewhere
(unless I got the top down)

Oh my yes, I live in Baltimore!  I lock every door on my house and I definitely lock my car even when I just run into the 7-11.

House locked, garage locked car locked in my driveway let alone anywhere else BUT..........if someone wants to get in, they will get in.  There is no security system that keeps criminals out.  All locks do is make it a lil harder to get in.  My car has been broken into once in my driveway, my cell phone was stolen, but it was retrieved.  Some of the secret is to not leave anything out. One of the 3 hanging baskets of flowers, on the garage is locked.  The other two were stolen.  Always gonna lock them down never got to it LOL.  There is a small community about 15 miles from here where they leave the doors unlocked, nothing and I mean nothing (in the manner of crime ever goes on in Ovid).  This last weekend a couple visiting their daughter and son in law were murdered.  Crime is all over, in the most pleasant communities. If you live in a small community it is on a much smaller scale. but it is there, so is dope, etc.  These people who say, "We do not have crime here" are living in LA LA Land, it will strike you or someone you love, be safe, lock your doors.

I make sure I lock my apartment door before I leave for work in the morning because sometimes you can never be too sure if thieves are nearby.

Are you kidding?  I live in Baltimore.  I lock everything, even my car doors while I'm driving down the road.

You bet I do.  Everything is locked up tight at night.  Living alone will make you do that.  I am considering ADT or some other security system.  You can never be too safe.
