I was born and raised in Honolulu, HI. In high school, I lettered in bowling and basketball (I was almost voted all-state for playing leftbench, LOL!). I spent most of my days at the beach with my trusty Morey Boogie, Mach 7-7 bodyboard.
In 1987, I moved to Southern California to attend Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, CA (
www.hmc.edu) as an engineering major.
Got married in 1994. We eloped (though everyone knew about it) on Catalina Island and got married by the Justice of the Peace, a little 'ol lady named Fern -- she'll marry any couple, anywhere on the island for a flat fee of $75. Instead of paying for a wedding, we opted to spend our $$$ on a downpayment on a home.
Not liking engineering all that much after 5 years, I attened graduate school in 1996 at Azusa Pacific University (
www.apu.edu) to jump-start a career change. I finished in 1999 with an M.S. in Computer Science.
I currently do programming for Raytheon in Pasadena, CA (about 2 mi. from the Rose Bowl), though with all the layoffs going on in the office, I'm not sure how long this will last.
My wife and I just had our first baby last june.
