Cheese Straws  makes 8 dozen
 
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8th teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 oz butter
3 ozs tasty cheese
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon cold water
Heat oven to 400F.  
Stir altogether flour, salt and cayenne pepper.
Rub in butter until mix resembles fine crumbs.
Beat egg yolk with water then stir into the flour mix to form a stiff paste.
Roll 1/4 inch thick - cut in strips 3 inches long by 3 1/4 inch wide.
Bake ay 400F for 10 to 12 minutes.
