It is pretty stressful for us all. I think the worst thought is that some groups will go to one place and others to others. At the moment I'm thinking unless this windows thing is amazing (could happen) I'm going with yuku. I really like the groups there, the way they work. It did take a bit of getting to grips with but once you start it seems quite fun. I've made my first skin (not that I'd show you lol its a bit dodgy) but I know now I can make a place my own. Someone has posted up a way to use backgrounds (which I've yet to try) but that sounds like there is hope! I can see though if some groups go to multiply, some to google, some to another etc I'll just end up loosing some. Such a shame. I hope we manage to get something together in another format that will intrest you all. Just got to get used to another format. I think lots of groups will go to multiply just to keep their history so they can go back to it on there incase they don't have time to back up everything. Personally I can't get on multiply, I've managed to opne one page but never get any further, it locks up my pc so if a group is moving there I doubt I'll be able to follow. |

Oh thats a shame but it is bound to happen. I do think its a shame. I was looking at Aimoo today too, looks interesting, simlar to Yuku, but I am liking yuku so think I might stick with that. I have heard it takes the html borders though like msn does. On yuku they are css and so even if you do a border if you want to add text you have to add it in the html rather than have it writable which is far too complicated for everyone to want to do. |

Jean I am really hoping that we can persuade them gently to give it a go...........or use brute force if necessary lol lol lol. I will miss everyone dreadfully, think we already lost our Mel though |

I am an asst. manager for a collector's group but also belong to several other collector's groups as well and one of my groups just moved her group to Zetaboards. I ended up joining Zetaboards and she made me a temporary mod at her group so I could kind of get the feel of it in case we take my group there. I don't mind it at all. It's really quite user friendly and set up much like MSN is. I'm sad because MSN is closing their groups but if I end up having to take my group to Zetaboards, I could be happy with it. You ought to check them out. Jill |

I really love the yuku just such a shame you can't do borders there. Well you can but not with html. Aimoo you can and they now have a thing that will help you migrate your whole group over there. Another option other than mulitply now if you want your group history without moving it yourself. They also use borders much the same as they do here. |

One of my groups just migrated to Aimoo and I love it. It is very user friendly and reminds me alot of MSN. I also love the feature of being able to upload pictures into your replies right straight from photobucket. I'm an asst. manager for a collectors group and I am certainly going to recommend Aimoo to my managers. I wouldn't mind us migrating to Aimoo too and it would be really nice for me because I would have some of my groups all together on one server. Jill |
