~ The Wicked One ~
Today is Sunday, 2/6/2005. Since so many are still confused about Adam being the wicked one, Satan, the dragon, the serpent, Lucifer and the king of Babylon, I will write this message to solidly prove this truth beyond the shadow of a doubt.
It is very easy to prove this, just using two Scriptures. First, let’s go into Ezekiel and prove that the one spoken of there, whom most people admit is Satan, is actually Adam.
Eze 28:2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God: 28:3 Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee: 28:4 With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:
Most of this message is repetitious of what I wrote in other messages, but I am going to show you in this message how to solidly PROVE that this being in Ezekiel 28 is actually Adam. There is absolutely no doubt about this.
Notice that in verse two, this being is declaring himself to be God, sitting in the seat of God. But God told him, Yet thou are a MAN, and not God.
So now most of you believe that Satan is a spirit as is God. But this declares he is a man. God said He [God] is not man nor the Son of Man. God is a Spirit.
Eze 28:9 Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee. 28:10 Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
Here God shows this one that someone is going to slay him. Strangers will slay this one. The Strangers are the true Christians. So how are we going to slay Satan? Notice again in verse nine God tells this one You shall be a MAN, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth you.
So there are two verses saying this being is just a man, not a spirit. How could we kill a spirit?
Eze 28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Now this is speaking of God’s Son, Adam. He is the one who was in the Garden of Eden. He is the one who was perfect in beauty and perfect in his ways until iniquity was found in him. Did not Paul say over and over that by Adam sin entered into this world, and death by sin? Did not God tell Adam the day you eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, that day you will die? So it was Adam’s eating of this tree, his rebellion to God, of which this is speaking. It was his sin which brought in the death.
See here it speaks of his great wisdom. Adam was so wise he named all cattle and all animals. He was prophesying the Word of God in Genesis, before he became evil and desiring to be God.
What does it mean, Thou are the anointed cherub which covereth, and I have set thee so? It is speaking of when God gave to his Son the dominion over all the animals and everything on the earth. God told Adam to be in the Garden of God to DRESS IT AND TO KEEP IT. Now what does that mean?
Isa 61:1 The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. 61:4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. 61:5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. 61:6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
The above Scripture is Jesus speaking. He said the spirit of the Lord God is upon me because he has ANOINTED me to PREACH good tidings, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, to open the prison to those who are bound, to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and to comfort all that mourn.
So, to do all these things for and to God’s sheep, His children, is the job of being anointed, or a COVERING. It was also his job to give joy to those mourning, and teach the heavy to praise the Lord, that they might be called TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, THE PLANTING OF THE LORD.
Now can’t you see from this that the sheep of God, or his children, are the trees he planted? Jesus said every plant which my Heavenly Father has not planted, shall be rooted up. He is speaking of the people of God as these trees. These are the trees which were in that Garden of Eden. Most people have the mistaken idea that there were only two people in that Garden. But it is just not true. At some point in time, there were many, many people there. There was an entire world of people there. The church is in such error about all of this, they think Adam and Eve were only in the Garden a small amount of time. But it is not true. We actually have no account of how long they lived there in their perfect state. We have no account of how many people may have been there before they sinned and began to have mortal children.
Notice verse five says strangers [the Christians] shall feed your flocks [the sheep of God; us] and be your plowman [preaching the word] and your vinedressers. So from this we find that dressing the garden meant doing all these things of binding up the broken hearted, setting people free, and giving them joy, etc. It meant feeding the flock of God the Word of salvation. It meant taking care of God’s children. It meant being a minister of God to serve the sheep of God. It meant being a keeper of sheep as Abel was.
So if this is what anointing Jesus meant, it is also what anointing Adam meant. It means the same thing with the anointed cherub. He was to keep God’s sheep, to minister to them, to teach them the Word of God. This is what dressing and keeping the Garden means. Adam was placed into the Garden for this purpose, to minister to God’s children. He was to be their covering from sin as Jesus is now our covering.
But because Adam became envious of them and of God, and he was lifted up in pride and wanted to be God instead of a minister of God, then he failed to do his job of caring for the sheep of God. But Abel was doing this great ministry of keeping the sheep of God. He was plowing their fields = teaching them the Word. He was sowing the ‘seed?of the Word into their hearts. He was dressing the VINE. Jesus is the VINE. We are his branches. If you think of this in the natural, as earthly tress, you will NEVER EVER UNDERSTAND THE TRUTH. This is totally spiritual.
This is why the carnal mind is not subject to the things of God and can never receive them.
If you think the sheep are four-legged animals, you will never get any truth.
See in verse six God said those who are the vinedressers will be called the priests and ministers of God. That is the true Christians who are doing this great work of caring for the sheep of God, feeding the flock and dressing the vine.
Isa 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
The above is Jesus saying God clothed him with the garments of salvation and covered him with the robe of righteousness. Now see this shows that the covering and clothes or nakedness spoken of in the Garden of Eden is not natural clothes and nakedness. It pertains to having on the righteousness of Faith in God. Adam was void of this faith, and that is how he was naked. It does not mean they had no clothes on. They were into sin, as is the Laodician church. Naked, or without the covering of righteousness. Adam was set in the Garden, as God’s anointed Son, to cover the sheep of God with righteousness by plowing their fields, = their minds or hearts, with the Word or truth of God. But because of Adam’s own sin, he failed to minister as God set him to do. His son Abel was the true minister or keeper of the sheep of God. Abel was the true vinedresser. Adam refused to dress the garden and give them righteousness.
Eze 28:8 They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas. 28:9 Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.
Bringing him down to the pit is the same as in Revelation 20, when Satan, the old serpent, is placed into the bottomless pit. Again here God tells this one he is just a man in the hand of him that slays him. Never is this being called a spirit. So now we are proving that all of this in Eze. 28 pertains to Satan. Now I will prove to you beyond a doubt, that it is Adam.
Eze 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God;...
So this was a created being who was perfect when he was created. Now I ask anyone, do you know of a single Scripture which refers to the creation of Satan; Lucifer; the dragon; the serpent or any other name or title Satan goes by? I did a search on each of these, and I cannot find any reference to the creation of Satan, nor do I remember ever reading anything of this nature. Did God create Satan? Did God created the serpent? No. He did not. Satan is not a created being, neither was the serpent. Satan, the serpent, became Satan and the serpent by rebellion and sin. Serpent means a hypocrite. God did not create any hypocrite. They become hypocrites by their own evil. Adam became Satan, the serpent, the old dragon, by his own evil or iniquity.
If any of you reject this truth, bring forth a Scripture showing and proving that God created a devil, Satan, Lucifer, or the serpent. It is not written. God did no such thing.
Eze 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Now here God told the covering cherub that He will cast him as profane out of the mountain of God or the Garden of Eden. Profane means secular. This is the merchandizing love for money which caused Adam to become evil.
Now find any Scripture saying that someone other than Adam was ever cast out of that Garden of Eden, the mountain of God. I know of no other whom God cast out.
Eze 31:8 The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chestnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty. 31:9 I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him.
Now in this chapter God is still speaking of the same being, the anointed cherub. He was again spoken of for his beauty, so that all the others in the Garden envied him.
Eze 31:11 I have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mighty one of the heathen; he shall surely deal with him: I have driven him out for his wickedness.
Now here is another reference to the fact that God had driven him out for his wickedness. So again I ask where is any reference to anyone other than Adam being driven out of the Garden of Eden? I know of no other. I know of no Scripture which shows where God cast or drove out anyone other than the man, Adam. If you do, please show it to me. Where is a verse saying God drove Satan or the serpent out of the Garden? I know of none. It is not written. It is not true that there was a Satan or serpent other than Adam.
Ge 2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
Now here we see God placed Adam into the Garden. Where did he say he placed any serpent or Satan or dragon into the Garden? It is not there.
Ge 2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
See here that God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden to DRESS IT = clothe it with righteousness, the garment of salvation, and to keep it. This means he was to be the vinedresser or the keeper of God’s Sheep. Adam failed to do this. He became wicked and lifted himself up as God, which deceived the sheep of God and led them astray. Abel was the one who was doing the work God said for Adam to do.
Notice that Adam is not called any serpent yet. In chapter two, Adam was still living right with God. He is prophesying the Word of God at the end of this chapter. But notice that at the beginning of chapter three, the serpent comes in for the first time. Notice, here he is lying to Eve and deceiving her into disobeying God, so they could become gods. Adam wanted to be God just as told in Eze, 28.
Gen 3:23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Verse 24 says God DROVE out the man. I have driven him out for his wickedness. Now someone show me where God drove anyone else out. Where does the Word say that God drove the serpent out? See, it showed that the serpent was in the garden, so why did God not drive the serpent out? Where does it say God drove Satan out? It is just not written. Adam is the one God drove out for his wickedness. Anyone who reads this and rejects this revealed truth, is rebelling against God. You are rejecting the knowledge of God, therefore God will reject you.
Unless you can find and show that God drove someone else out of that Garden, then you must accept that it was Adam who became the serpent, hypocrite, and the Devil, Satan, the dragon, and the only one God drove out of the Garden.
Now I have been telling you that Adam and Cain are the devil or Satan. Now for proof of God’s driving Cain out from somewhere.
Gen 4:13 And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear. 4:14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.
See here God drove Cain out from the face of the earth. He said everyone that findeth me shall slay me. This is the fulfillment of the Scripture we just read about them slaying the wicked one and bringing him down to the pit. See how perfectly all of this fits together with the Word of God? There is no other truth concerning this matter. Adam is Satan. God drove him out for his wickedness. He was perfect until iniquity was found in him. By one man sin entered the world and death by sin. Adam brought sin and death upon all men.
Now let’s prove what the cherub was. Eze 1:5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. 1:6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. 1:7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.
These four living creatures had the appearance of a man. Notice it is not the appearance of an angel, it is a man. This man is Jesus Christ. It was first Adam, until he fell by iniquity. Notice their feet was like the sole of a CALF’S foot.
I have a message on tape on this four-faced living creature. But I am not going to try and teach on that in this message. I will try to get it typed up soon. But for now I only want to show you about the cherub being a calf.
Eze 1:10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
They had a face of a MAN, a lion, an OX and an eagle. This is the full grown Christians. It is an entire group of people, or the Christ. One body, yet many members. But notice and keep in mind the order they are listed in here. Man, lion, OX, and an eagle. This is the four faces. Eze 10:2 And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.
This cherub is God’s anointed one. Watch this. Jesus is God’s anointed one now. We are God’s anointed one now. We are a member of His Christ.
Eze 10:14 And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle. 10:15 And the cherubims were lifted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar.
Now you must learn to study, to rightly divide or put together the Word of God. Here he said these four faces were: the face of a CHERUB, a man, a lion and an eagle.
He also stated that this is the living creature I saw by the river which was in the first chapter. This proves we are still speaking of the very same vision, or living creature. But notice that the OX is not mentioned here. Notice that in the first chapter the CHERUB was not mentioned. So this proves that this CHERUB is this OX.
And that is why it said it had feet like the sole of a calf’s foot. The calf is an OX.
Eze 10:22 And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward.
Now don’t take my word for it. Here the Word said that these are the same faces he saw by the river of Chebar, in the first chapter. So the OX is the same as the CHERUB. So this proves that those who claim the anointed CHERUB in Eze. 28 was an angel are wrong and not getting the true revelation of God’s Word. It was a MAN. And that man was Adam. This living creature here is Jesus and His true Church. It is Jesus?hand under their wings. It is the hands of a MAN. It is not the hands of a God.
Now for the other place the Word mentions this living creature.
Rev 4:6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. Re 4:7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
Here is the four living creatures in Heaven. The first beast, or face is a LION. The second a CALF OR THAT CHERUB. The third a MAN. The fourth a flying EAGLE.
Now that is the very same faces Ezekiel saw in his vision. See then that the Calf is mentioned here. So this proves beyond a doubt that this calf is the same as the OX OR THE CHERUB. So there is nothing here to indicate that the anointed Cherub in the Garden of Eden was any angel. It was a MAN, ADAM. It was the Son of God, Adam, whom God had placed over his creation.
