Acts 8:12.  But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
 13.  Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

Philip preached things about the kingdom of God and the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, AND THOSE PEOPLE ALL WERE BAPTIZED.
So sure seems conclusive that Philip preached Baptism here in the name of Jesus Christ; for that is the result of his preaching to this town.

Now the question is,  did they baptize in water or letters?  Ask Pillar.  He knows.

4.  Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
 15.  Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
 16.  (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Verse 16------said those people had been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.........but, BUT the Holy Ghost had not yet fallen upon any of them>  What?  But me thought that was one and the same and the only baptism = just the spirit baptism.
.........but Peter and John did not think so.........for they KNEW that whole town of folks, both men and women had already been baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ........so they stood in line to receive the promise of the Holy Ghost...........so after they laid their hands on these baptized folks,,,,,,,,guess what?

The Holy Ghost fell upon them.  Now that counts like  T.W.O. different baptisms to me?  How bout you all.  Can anyone else here count to 2?

First.....Philip had already baptized these folks in the Name of Jesus Christ.....(now don't go blaming and fussing at me; it is written right here in the Book; so if you doubt it just go throw your book into the fire and burn it up; for it must be teaching lies)

Second.  (now that makes 2)  Peter laid hands on them and they received the Holy Ghost...........so this is two different experiences occuring at two different times............after all,,,you know it takes time to travel from Jerusalem to this town........and all of them were baptized BEFORE PETER AND JOHN HEARD OF IT AND THEN TRAVELED TO THAT TOWN .......AND THEY MIGHT HAVE WAITED A FEW DAYS BEFORE GOING; DONT KNOW.

BUT ONE THING FOR SURE, THEY HAD TWO DIFFERENT BAPTISMS HERE.

NOW THE BIG QUESTION FOR PILLAR IS THIS:   WERE THEY BOTH BAPTISM OF LETTERS?  OR SPIRIT?

Now it gets even more confusing;   read on:

35.  Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
 36.  And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
 37.  And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
 38.  And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
 39.  And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

Wow this Philip must have been one mixed up boy!

First he baptizes that town of folks in the Name of Jesus Christ , which gets them the Holy Ghost>>>>>>>>>then he proceeds to preach Jesus to this poor unsuspecting eunuch.  Now this convinced this unknowing man that he needs to get baptized in water...........
Philip, shame on you;;;;;;;teaching this poor boy he better get baptized in water in the name of Jesus......
Sure he did.  Look at it.

v36.....and they came to a certain  WATER.........what?  Water?  was it natural water or letters?
did Philip tell this man you need to get baptized in  letters?
Must not have for this man sees some water and immediately desires to get baptized.  How in this world did this man know about baptism?  Had to be that this was part of Philip's sermon.  He preached Jesus.  So baptism is part of Jesus.

.....the man said,  here is WATER?   what hinders me from being baptized..............folks, Pillar is trying to hinder all of you from being baptized in water according to the message of the apostles, which is the foundation of the Holy City, the Bride of Christ..........so he is trying to keep you out of that City........

But now back to the story:
V.37-Philip says   IF you believe  with all your heart, you may be.  See he had brought the man through the first part of getting him to  BELIEVE...............but..........BUT.......did he leave him there and say that is enough.....you are saved????????????   Nope.  NO!!No.  People, if you care for your souls, you better get this........me cares more about your souls than you doooooooossssssss. for me is wearing me fingers out trying to get someone to  SEE....

If you BELIEVE ,,,,,,,then you MAY be baptized.....in this WATER...in the name of Jesus Christ.

v38------they went both  of   them  into the   WATER.......

What?????   yes.  BOTH  MEN   WENT  DOWN  INTO  WATER.  Water.  Was it natural water?  If not, how did they both get out of the natural chariot and walk down into the water?
If it is letters, how did they both walk down into it and Philip  baptize him?   See,  Jesus is the ONLY one who can baptize you with the Holy Ghost...............but here this human man PHILIP  baptized this man,  same as he had baptized that other whole town........

v39....then they both  CAME   UP  OUT OF   THE WATER......AND THE MAN WENT ON HIS way REJOICING...........he had received the HG........that is why he is rejoicing.

Now, I am here to tell you,,,,,,,,,,,,you gonna have to totally discredit this Book and call the whole thing a big lie to hang to this tale that water baptism is not natural water;  but only letters.

Who do you believe? Pillar and his insane statements...... or the KJV  Scriptures?  If you deny the Word, You will be denied and sent to hell.

Jesus,  yes    Jesus,  said  IF  YOU DENY  ME,  I ALSO WILL DENY YOU.
SO ALL OF YOU DENYING THE NAME OF JESUS,,,,,,,,,,,,, AND SAYING ALL KINDS OF OTHER NAMES,,,,,,,,,JESUS WILL SOMEDAY DENY YOU BEFORE THE FATHER  -----AND ONLY HELL FIRE AWAITS YOU THEN.

I have warned you.  I have told you.  I have proven it by the Word.  If you deny this, you are calling God a lie.  God is the Word.  The Word is God.  So if you call this much Word a lie,  you call God a lie.

He will send you to hell for this.

With this much proof,,,,,,,,,,,, how can any person continue to doubt this and deny it?

Philip,  you are just as mixed up as Peter and Paul.  They both had the same delusion you have that Jesus meant for you to go water baptize folks in His Name.  They all had this same delusion.  But they build the true foundation for the Holy City.  If they were wrong,  that Holy City will crumble and fall...........for it is build upon this foundation the Apostles preached.

Do any of you dare go against this much Scripture and mete out for yourself another escape route?

Not me.  I will obey and believe Philip, Peter, Paul. and the others.  For they are the foundation.  If one was mixed up, they all were.  If it is not water baptism, then burn your Bibles; for they teach lies.

Jo Smith

Is there any other evidence in the Word of God that Baptism in the name of Jesus WASHES AWAY OR REMITTS OUR SINS?  Let's see what another man of God believed about this:

Acts 22:10.  And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.
 11.  And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus.
 12.  And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,
 13.  Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.
 14.  And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.
 15.  For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.
 16.  And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

This is speaking of Paul~~

v12--Ananias, a devout man of good report had enough faith and power to say to the blinded Saul, receive thy sight.  and the same hour Saul had his eyes opened back up.  It came about by this man speaking it.  This is our power in Christ....speak....and it shall be.
Now what about Saul?  v14.......God has chosen you, that you shall know his will and hear his voice and be his witness unto all men.

v16--Why tarry?  {make haste]...and be baptized,  and  WASH  AWAY  THY SINS,      [how] calling on the name of the Lord.

How many of you dare call this many witnesses of this way of Baptism a lie?  Can you call this much Scripture a lie?  Does it have anything to do with salvation?  Well, does having your sins washed away, or remitted have anything to do with salvation?

If so then, Baptism is escential;;;;;;; for this is the one and ONLY WAY GIVEN IN THE WORD OF GOD TO GET YOUR SINS REMITTED OR WASHED AWAY.    WASHED BY THE PURE WATER WHICH IS BROUGHT ABOUT BY THE SPOKEN WORD OF GOD AS THE BAPTIZER SPEAKS THE HOLY WORDS OVER A PERSON IN BAPTISM.

THIS SANCTIFIES THAT WATER AND MAKES IT HOLY  .......BY THE WORD OF GOD.......EVERYTHING GOD SPEAKS  IS  HOLY.

If Ananas could speak words and give Saul back his sight,,,then the same words of God can wash away his sins.

......The GIFT of the HOLY GHOST!   This is truly the most wonderful, powerful, precious GIFT or possession anyone could ever have........why would not a person do any and all things,,,,,,,anything.........to have that promise fulfilled in their own life?

How I thank my Holy God that He opened my eyes one day to the deception of the Baptist Church, which denies this glorious experience of new birth, and denied me this for 25 years.........and God so graciously fulfilled Acts 2:38 to me and filled me with that glorious LIFE-GIVING Spirit.

I am so thankful to God everyday of my life that He did not leave me back there in that DARKNESS ,,,,,,but he had mercy on me.......and brought me into His glorious LIGHT and baptized me with that glorious Holy Ghost.

I would gladly be baptized in His Name a million times to have this glory --if it took it.

Jo

I have been reading this on what you have said on Baptisim. So can we look at what the first scripture that you give reference to: And the first question that I ask is what are the things that Philip preached concerning the Kingdom of God.? What do you think he said?  Tweety

Acts 8:12 (KJV)
8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Tweety, as this is the day of the anniversary of the date that God so graciously baptized me with the Holy Ghost, on May 31, 1964, I do thank you for bringing this back to the top for me to read and enjoy all over again.

Yes, today is my 44th year to have the glorious Holy Ghost.

Now to answer your question:

The results which are recorded in the Word as to how this town responded to Philips message, proves what he preached.  He preached the very same message which the other Apostles and disciples taught,  for they all believed and taught the very same message.  There was no disagreement between them.  They were in one mind and one accord.  They all believed it according to how the Book of Acts records it.

No one has any right or power to add one thing to God's Written Word, or to take away even one word, for to do so, is to make it a lie.

So, we can rightly conclude that Philip preached exactly what Peter preached in the first place. ....and what Paul preached in Acts 19.

There is no other message.  It is believe on Jesus, God's SON,  then repent of your sins,  then be water baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the REMISSION of those sins, and receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, as evidenced in Acts,  by speaking in other tongues, as the Spirit give utterance.

There is no other way written in Scripture.  So why tarriest thou?  Arise and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.  Thus you shall be granted a place in the kingdom of the Lord.  That is the message which Philip preached to both Samaria and the Eunuch.
It is the same message Larry and I teach here, with all our mights.

Acts 8:12 (KJV)
8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
Look at the words above....when they BELIEVED Philip,  they were baptized.......so this proves that this is what Philip preached....for the did what they believed that he told them to do.  It is certain, no guess work!

It is the same with Paul and the jailor and his family.....Paul preached the word to them,  and they believed it so much,  they went out at MIDNIGHT and were BAPTIZED.   Now, that PROVES that Paul preached baptism, escential to salvation, to this family.
It does not have to be recorded each time it is mentioned...the words prove what they said, by the response to them.

Two times is all it needs to be recorded, to be ESTABLISHED.  Don't ever forget this.

It is certain that Paul preached baptism to this family,  else how did they consider it so important to go out at midnight and be baptized?  It is certain that Philip preached baptism to Samaria, for this is how they obeyed what he told them.
It is certain that Philip preached baptism to the Enunch, because that is how he responded to what Philip told him.

No guess work.  All who fight this, are not in faith.  they are in doubt as to what the Word of God actually says.

Take this message abroad and preach it everywhere!!

What about the kingdom of God? What do you think he said concerning the Kingdom of GOD? It must have been a very good day for the people. Because he prached so good until they went and got baptized. What about Jesus Christ? What could he have preached about HIM to the people that wanted the people to get baptized?
Where I am getting is that PREACHIN SALVATION AND HOW JESUS CAME TO SAVE SHOULD BE PREACHED FIRST. Did not Jesus say when he first started his ministry "Repent for the kingdom of GOD is at hand? He just said repent.
I ahev not heard those words come out of a preachers lips in years. ONLY

MONEY MONEY MONEY. So we can say that they are not truly preachin the TRUE GOSPEL. THEY PREACH ANOTHER JESUS. THE MONEY HUNGRY JESUS. THE JESUS THAT DEMANDS EVERY PENNY YOU HAVE OR YOUWILL NOT SEE HEAVEN.

I bet if you ask any minister today what the word repent means-he would scratch his head, Tweety

You are sure right about that, Tweety.  All Scriptures concerning the Kingdom of God entered into what these men preached, because they preached the WORD OF GOD.

They preached Jesus and him crucified and living a Holy, sinless life, and the other things concerning becoming into the Kingdom of God.

But they had to preach the method of getting those people into the body of Christ.

And you know what? I have not heard of any preacher n my age-preachin like they did. Preachin what they did. They preach the things that they want to hear. God's WORD is for today. ALL OF GOD'S WORD. That is why it so imporant to read the Bible each and every day. Find out yourself what the WORD of GOD says. Do not rely on any preacher that stands in a pulpit in a $900.00 suit. For they do not know the WORD OF GOD. AND it shows in what they preach. That is why I read the WORD for myself. If people were like you and I, this world be in a much better state than it is now. People would be more concerned about GOD and what he said than who is killing who. There would be no more killing anyway. If the world truly followed Jesus as they claim we would not be in this state. Where are the preachers?
Because what you see on the TV is not preachin. It is idol worship. And the object is money. That is all it is.  Tweety
