Yes I do believe that baptism is a necessary part of our salvation. Reference to baptism goes all the way back to Moses in reference to Israel passing through the Red Sea and covered by the cloud.

1 Cor 10:2 - And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; ( It identifies us with the death, ( repentance dying out of that old man) burial ( baptism) resurrection (coming forth as a new man) ( See we are buried with him by baptism into death so that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

1 Cor 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. ( See this is how we become part of the body of Christ through baptism.)

Mark 16:16- He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. ( So this scripture alone should answer any question that any one has about baptism being a part of our salvation.)

I also see according to scripture that you have to be baptize in a river or some large body of water.

John 3:23 -And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

Math 3:6- And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins. ( See repentance and baptizing go together you can not separate them. We know they were repenting because they were confessing their sins. So in the plan of salvation there must be repentance and baptism.

3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

The reason that I brought these 2 scriptures out is to show you where they were baptized, in the river Jordon which was a river according to history that was the one river of Palestine, has its course of little more than 200 miles (300 km), from the roots of Anti-Lebanon to the head of the Dead Sea. That there was much water there.

Baptism is not something we should neglect because it is a commandment from Jesus himself.

Math 28:18- And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

28:19- Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

28:20 - Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. ( See it was a commandment)

Gal 3: 27- For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

( Now what is this saying? here he says we put on Christ when we were baptized. So if you have not been baptized according to what I see you have not put on Christ. To put on Christ you must be baptized.

Baptism is part of God's plan of salvation but not the only thing. Only a part. If you take on only baptism it is no good. You must first repent as saith the scripture. If they do not repent all anyone does if baptism is the only thing they do is to go down in water a dry sinner and come back up a wet sinner.

John 3: 5 states- Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. ( I hope you see who said this. It was not Isaiah that said it, so how can anyone see that without the baptism in water you cannot be saved?

Jesus himself was baptized and we are to follow his example***********

1 Peter 2:21- For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: IF WE ARE GOING TO FOLLOW THE STEPS OF JESUS WHAT MUST WE DO? DO AS JESUS DID. Let’s see what he done.<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Math 3: 13- 17-- Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

3:14 - But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

3:15 -And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. ( so why did Jesus have to be baptized? According to this scripture to fulfill all righteousness.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> so if Jesus had to be baptized to fulfill all righteousness do we think that we can not do it ? Are we going on our own righteous when we say that we don’t have to be baptized when Jesus had to. Just don’t make sense to me.

3:16 -And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: ( also see he came out of the water meaning he had to be in much water>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

3:17 -And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased ( See if you are baptized God will well pleased with it and you also become his Son.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

So yes I do believe you have to be baptized to be saved. If not why would it be in the word of God and some form of baptism is found in the bible I think 92 times. Does anyone think that is not important why would it be there this many times>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

May God Bless

This is a very good message, Axs.  Thank you for giving us this good lesson.  I thought of this, as I read this verse:
Matt. 3:16 -And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: ( also see he came out of the water meaning he had to be in much water>>>>
I thought, then the same as with Jesus,  (for we are to follow his pattern)  when we are baptized, the 'heavens' will be opened to us and God will claim us as his own son.  This is when God accepts us into his family.

Then your very next statement said this same thing.  And I though,  wow, in the same mind of revelation again.  I had never gotten this thought before.

So I say all who fights this truth are attempting to deny God's way of salvation, and set up their own way.

it will never work, it is REBELLION to God.
All who claim to have the Holy Ghost APART from speaking in tongues, and fight tongues, are in REBELLION to God and trying to come in another way.

it is self-deception.
