~~ The Latter House ~~

Hag 2:9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.

Hag 2:15 And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD:

Hag 2:18 Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD'S temple was laid, consider it.

Hag 1:8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.

Hag 1:14 And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,

Now there are many clues in the above verses as to what this Book is about. These clues are unmistakable. The interpretation is sure and certain. Clue one: Temple of the LORD. So this proves that the ‘House?we are speaking about is the Temple of the Lord. So then we see that ‘house?and ‘temple?are one and the same spiritual term. Here is what God told us about ‘house?and ‘temple? Mt 26:61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

We know Jesus spoke of the temple of his body. So his body was the temple of God. God dwelt in him. Now I know the wooden/stone building was also called a temple. But we know that the spiritual temple or building, was the body.

Here is the proof: John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 2:20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 2:21 But he spake of the temple of his body. 2:22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

See that the Jews thought only of the man-made building as the temple. This is carnal reasoning. But Jesus was speaking here of spiritual things. He was beginning to teach them New Testament spiritual things. See then that the man-made temples fit with that old covenant of law. They were not of faith, so they could not understand spiritual things.

Now, watch Paul begin teaching the world about the true spiritual house, or temple of the LORD> Ac 17:22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. 17:23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

Ac 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 17:25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

Ac 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; Ac 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Ac 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

Ac 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

This reveals that God made all things and does not dwell in temples made with hands, or by man. This same message caused the Jews to murder Stephen. They could not stand this message that their fancy buildings were not really the temple of the LORD. Church people today do not like this truth either. They wish to glorify the works of their own hands. God winked at this ignorance in the past, or OT times. But now that the true LIGHT now shineth, he commands men everywhere to repent and believe the gospel. God does not overlook your rejection of spiritual truth in the NT times.

Now here is further proof that the true temple of the LORD is our bodies: 1Cor 3:9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

1co 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

1Cor 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1co 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 1co 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

1co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1co 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

2Cor 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

2co 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Eph 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; Eph 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Eph 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; Eph 2:16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

Eph 2:17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. Eph 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; Eph 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: Eph 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

This is a lot of Scripture, but it is very necessary to teach a message like this. Many people tell me that they do not know how to study in the Word and find the answers. So I have to lay it out this way, in order to explain the truth. There is much Scripture proving that in the NT, the body of Saints, with Jesus as its head, is the temple of God. See that it shows that this is a BUILDING, which was started with a sure foundation, the apostles and prophets, (meaning NT Prophets), with Jesus Christ as the chief corner STONE. Now let another apostle reveal what the ‘stones?in this ‘building?are: 1Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 1pe 2:3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. 1pe 2:4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

1pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 1pe 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

1pe 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

1pe 2:8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. 1pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1pe 2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Here Peter clearly tells us that we are lively STONES built up into an Holy Temple or spiritual HOUSE. This matches perfectly what Paul said and what Jesus taught. So the builders are those who are working in a building for God to dwell in. See that the OT builders were offended at the corner stone, Jesus. They totally disallowed this stone and cast him aside. He did not fit into ‘their?building. And what was ‘their?building? It was that first ‘house? or the old covenant of law, which began with Adam.

See that these Scriptures show us that the entire body of Christ, or all the NT Saints, are builded TOGETHER, for a spiritual HOUSE or temple of the LORD. The foundation for this Holy House was laid by the Apostles, with Jesus Christ being the chief corner STONE. So this latter, or second house, is the true Church of the Living God. Each member in particular, is a stone in the building. We each must work to ‘build?our own house, or part of this One Building of God.

2Thes 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

2th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

Now who in Scripture lifted himself up as God, and above God? That anointed Cherub, in Eze. 28. And who was that? A man who was created by God, placed into the Garden of Eden, having more beauty and wisdom than any other person, and who also became filled with iniquity, so much so, that God drove him out of that garden because of his sins. So? Who was it? None other than Adam, God’s Son.

What was the anointing which God had anointed this son with? The power to rule this world. He was to be its covering. But when he turned evil and wanted to be lifted up as God and be above the stars of God, and he said, I am God, I sit in the seat, or throne of God, then God drove him out of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So what was that? …tilling the ground? It means to bring people into bondage. What is the bondage? Law. To be ruled over. So when someone rules, sits on a throne, brings others into bondage, what does that make him? A king or ruler over others. Thus Adam became the god or king of this world system. It was Babylon. Adam, or Satan, is the king of Babylon.

His kingdom declares the same thing her king says. Isa 47:1 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.

Isa 47:3 Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man. Isa 47:4 As for our redeemer, the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel. Isa 47:5 Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms

Isa 47:6 I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst show them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.

Isa 47:7 And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it. Isa 47:8 Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children: Isa 47:9 But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments. Isa 47:10 For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.

Now the above is a perfect description of Adam and his kingdom. See that his kingdom says, I am and none beside me. He is still claiming to be above God. This is speaking of the time God has brought that kingdom down and destroys it. That is why it is finally said to her, there is no throne for you now. See also that it fits the description of the last church, naked. That is the state Adam and Eve found themselves in when they rebelled against God and disobeyed him. See that now God tells her to sit silent. That is the same thing old Adam bullied the daughters of God into. Now it is brought against him. This is the time when Christ puts Satan into the pit and SHUTS HIM UP. Hush. Do not deceive the nations any longer.

[part 2]

Now look at verse six for proof of what I am saying in this message. God said, I gave my people into your hand. This is when God set Adam to rule this world. But see that he showed them NO MERCY. That is law, no mercy. Upon the ANCIENT you heavily laid thy YOKE. See this proves that Adam brought that ancient, or nation before the flood, into heavy bondage. This is what tilling the ground means. He laid that heavy burden of law upon those people. No Mercy! If you break the law, kill them. If you pick up a stick on the ‘Sabbath?stone them to death! Sound like our merciful God? Of course not. It was Adam, the god of this evil age. God had given them into Adam’s hand, so he ruled over them. God allowed him to rule, to set the laws. God said they chose their own way, not God’s way. This is exactly how this evil one sits in the temple of God, showing himself to be God. He is in every one of us. He is that outer man, which must be killed. If you allow some man to rule over you, then you are accepting this wicked one to show himself as your god. That first house, or kingdom, said I shall be a lady forever. It is Adam’s claim to ascend above the heights of the clouds and be like the most high God. See also that it mentions his great wisdom and knowledge. Fits perfectly what God said about the anointed Cherub, in Eze. 28. By thy wisdom thou hast gotten thee riches. Thou art wiser than Daniel. That tree of the knowledge of good and evil gave you wisdom, didn’t it? But it was not the wisdom which God had given you to begin with. This wisdom perverted you, as is explained in Romans one.

Peter proves that this heavy yoke, or burden, was that law of Moses. Satan tried to push this back on the Christians, to bring them again back under this bondage, thus placing them BACK into this kingdom of Adam, Satan, or that FIRST HOUSE, OR KINGDOM.

Ac 15:1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. Ac 15:2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

Ac 15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. Ac 15:6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter. Ac 15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. Ac 15:8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; Ac 15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Ac 15:10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? Ac 15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Now that is solid proof that the yoke of bondage was that law of Moses. It is the very same law which Adam put upon his kingdom before that flood. So it was all the very same ‘FIRST HOUSE? or kingdom. It is the first heaven and earth. There were two trees in the Garden of Eden. This means two kingdoms. It means those two houses. One was law, or the kingdom of Satan, which is Adam. Yes, Adam is the one to whom God gave those ancient peoples to. He ruled his kingdom with cruelty and much bondage. It was that heavy yoke of bondage, that law. It was obey or be killed. No mercy.

Now what about the glory of that first house? Just look at Solomon’s Temple. Nothing was any grander. It even had all manner of precious stones placed into the front of the building to glisten in the rising Sun each morning. Before that magnificent building, was that fabulous Tabernacle built by Moses and his people in the wilderness. Nothing so grand had ever existed. It is the very same description as the great harlot, Babylon, in Revelation. So it was the very same old law kingdom, beginning with Adam and extending all the way down to the end of time, when God finally destroys this sinful kingdom off the earth, and casts it into hell fire for destruction. God had set his son, Adam, up and given him this world. That was his anointing. God has not taken this back. Once it was given, it was there to stay, until God finds enough evil in him to destroy him forever. His kingdom is that first house.

If you read Exodus you will see the very same description as Babylon in Revelation. It is all the same sinful kingdom. It is that first house. Paul said we are changed from glory to glory. This is speaking of leaving that sinful kingdom of Adam, or flesh, and being translated into the kingdom of Jesus. We move from that night glory of the moon, and are transformed into the glorious brightness of the Sun, the kingdom of Christ, or that latter house.

Now the glory of the first house also pertains to this human body, or the outer courts. See the word says there is one glory of the moon and another glory of the stars and yet another glory of the sun. 1co 15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 1co 15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 1co 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 1co 15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 1co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

1co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 1co 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 1co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. 1co 15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 1co 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Now, FIRST MAN ADAM is that first house. The natural was first. This is the mortal, corruptible body which is the image of sinful man. It is our outer man, or that first house. It goes with that first house or kingdom. Before conversion, or being translated into the kingdom of Christ, we bear this evil image of sinful man. We are members of that sinful kingdom of Adam or Satan. It is that first house. It fits also what Jesus said that no man after he has tasted the old wine, straightway desires the new wine, for he thinks the old is better. That is the people who always cling to this flesh man or kingdom.

But the people who come into Christ are transformed into the likeness of Christ, or that latter house. See that the second man is the Lord from heaven. That is the latter house. That is when we have been changed from the first glory to the second glory. We are then in the image of the heavenly. Of course our outer man, the body, is not in this heavenly image until the resurrection. Neither was the body of Jesus in the image of the heavenly or latter house, until his resurrection. The resurrected, glorious Body, without death at work in it, is the greater glory of the latter house. It was manifested in the power from on high which was given to the Apostles and that early Church, by the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Their glory was much greater than has been manifested by the work of man’s hands, or that first house.

First man is the first house or kingdom. Second man is the latter house or kingdom. One is Adam, the other is Christ. One is old Jerusalem, or Babylon. The other is New Jerusalem or Christ’s kingdom. These two sons of God are the two anointed rulers, or kings over God’s creation. Adam rules over the natural, or fleshly kingdom, of mortal man. Jesus rules over the spiritual kingdom of Born Again Children of God. Jesus cannot and has not come into his kingdom on earth, so long as the first ‘king? Adam, rules. Just as David could not take over and rule Israel until Saul died, so Jesus cannot take over and rule so long as Adam is alive and ruling. He is alive in all men. All mankind is Adam.

Now back to Haggai. Hag 1:2 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD'S house should be built. Hag 1:3 Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying, Hag 1:4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your ceiled houses, and this house lie waste? Hag 1:5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Hag 1:6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. The people of the first house, or those who still live after the flesh, which is almost all people, all churches, are interested in earthly things, big numbers, dinners, parties, ballgames, fancy, high paid pastors, great buildings, entertaining singers and musicians, fancy cars, big bank accounts etc. This then is their dwelling in their ceiled houses and not being concerned with building the spiritual kingdom, or house of the Lord. They were merely concerned with earthly things and not spiritual things. The latter house is of spiritual things. If you live after the flesh, do not seek the Lord, the truth of the Word of God, the gifts of the spirit and living a holy life, then you are allowing the true house of the Lord, the latter house, to lie waste. It is that old law covenant. They sow much, but bring in little. They eat but have not enough or enough drink, or sufficient clothes, because that old covenant, present church stuff, is not able to supply the spiritual needs of its people. He that earneth wages?this is the hirelings…the paid preachers, singers and others who receive pay for their work in this building of God. This is the mark of the beast. They are not working on the latter house, but that first, fleshly house. So their bag has holes in it. They will lose their money, because it is all the reward they will ever have. They will have no reward in heaven, for they received this earthly compensation for a job which was supposed to have been done freely.

Hag 1:7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Hag 1:8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.

Here God is telling the world to consider their ways. He is saying for you all to build your part of this spiritual house. He will then take pleasure in it. He never received any pleasure from that first, or law house. He never had any pleasure in the death of all those animals which were offered by that law. Now that he says he will take pleasure in this, shows that it is the spiritual house of Jesus which he is speaking about their building. He said he will be glorified in this house. So that has to be the second house or the Lord from Heaven, the resurrected saints of God.

Hag 1:9 Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.

Here again he speaks to those looking to the fleshly building, or the first house. They kept looking for much from it, but it came to little. That law covenant could not deliver them or set them free. So what they did bring home, God blew on it and it was no good to them. Why? Because they were all interested only in man’s programs and allowed the true spiritual things to lay waste. So it is in all churches today. They are into all kinds of fleshly things, but refuse and hate the spiritual things of God. The preachers and all the church members forget this spiritual house, or seeking the gifts of the spirit so they can minister the things of God, and run to their own house, or their own man-made programs. Because of this God called for a drought upon all the glorious things which that New House brought at Pentecost. The Church lost all this glory, because they left the true house of Jesus and ran back to the old sloppy man-made dead programs. They substituted Sunday School for prayer meetings. They substituted empty sermonets for true teachings of the Word of God. They ran to doctors instead of healing by prayer. They forgot this was part of the atonement of Jesus. They had to do all the holidays as the world does.

Hag 1:10 Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit. Hag 1:11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands. Hag 1:12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD. Hag 1:13 Then spake Haggai the LORD'S messenger in the LORD'S message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD.

Because of this return to the first house, or law and carnal works of man, God caused the glorious dew to dry up and they could no longer bear the true fruit of the Spirit. The new wine, or the Holy Ghost, their oil, did not produce anymore. They lost it all because they left the things of God and ran to their own things. But watch, God stirred up the spirit of his remnant and they did work in the house of the LORD.

Hag 2:2 Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying, Hag 2:3 Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing? Hag 2:4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts: Hag 2:5 According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not. Hag 2:6 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; Hag 2:7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. Hag 2:8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. Hag 2:9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.

See that the people were thinking that the spiritual things of God, could not compare with all that fancy stuff of the first house?big buildings, big numbers, highly paid pastors, their big dinners, etc. Why stop all of that to get together and just pray? And just study the Word of God? It is nothing compared to our fancy stuff! But see that the true remnant does not see it that way. They began to call on God again and to hunger for the things of the Spirit. They could see that the glory of this latter house is so much greater than that first house. So what was the result? He shook the heavens and everything. He sent the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and shook this world. The desire of all nations came. What was that? The desire for salvation for all peoples. It came. God set his glory among all peoples of this world. In this place, salvation in Jesus, God gave peace. There was no peace to the wicked or that first house. The glory of this latter house is so much greater than that of the former house.

Hag 2:11 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying, Hag 2:12 If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No. Hag 2:13 Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean. Hag 2:14 Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.

Here God shows them that the law could never make anything holy or clean. It is that first house. All the works of their hands in that law and all that they offered to God was UNCLEAN.

Hag 2:15 And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD: Hag 2:16 Since those days were, when one came to an heap of twenty measures, there were but ten: when one came to the pressfat for to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty. Hag 2:17 I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD.

Look at that. BEFORE a stone was laid upon a stone in the TEMPLE OF THE LORD, there was never enough. God smote them with blasting and with mildew and hail in all the labour of their hands, their law works, yet they did not turn to Him. That was the condition of that old law covenant, or that first house.

Hag 2:18 Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD'S temple was laid, consider it. Hag 2:19 Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you. Hag 2:20 And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying, Hag 2:21 Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth; Hag 2:22 And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother. Hag 2:23 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.

Consider from the day the foundation of the LORD’S temple was laid. This foundation was the Apostles and Jesus as the chief corner stone. From the time that true foundation was laid, God said, I will bless you. I will shake the heavens and the earth. What is that? The Holy Ghost on Pentecost. That was the mighty shaking which came on that great day when this foundation was laid. I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms. That is speaking of all those kingdoms under that old law covenant, the Old Testament. It fell and great was the fall of it. It was not built on the Rock foundation. It was built on the sand, or flesh. He overthrew the chariots and those that rode in them. That is the four horses in Revelation. It was those four kingdoms which ruled the world in that old testament time. They all fell by the sword of their brother, those who came into the New Testament of Grace. Their sword, or the word of truth, brought down all those old riders of horses, or that first house. Verse 23 is speaking about Jesus Christ. He is the chosen of God. He is this latter house. Praise God for the glory of this latter house.

What a marvelous little Book. It says so much in only two short chapters! The differences in the two covenants are clearly laid out in this Book of Haggai. But only the true remnant of God, those of Grace and Faith, will ever see this much greater glory of the latter house. What comparison is there between our mortal, corruptible bodies and that of a glorious immortal and incorruptible body? None. The glory of this latter house, or body, is much greater than that of the former, or earthly body.

i read this message.  saw something in it.  it said before one stone was laid upon another in the temple of the Lord.
Then it said from the day the foundation was laid.

Now I saw as i read it, that the foundation was laid before one stone was laid upon another.  my.  how that does prove out in the new testament.  they laid that foundation first, then later we are stones placed into that building on top of that foundation.

i would never have realized this before i read this message.  thanks for taking the time to unvail this deep truth.

I  wonder,   did any others of you read this message?

Larry, did you read it?  It was in answer to the question which you asked.......what was the glory of the latter house.

What did you think of this answer?  Do you agree with this?  I truly would like to know.

Do you have any other comments on this subject?  Is this the same that you thought, when you asked the question?  Or did you have the answer?

Yes, we did discuss it.  I now remember that.  And I am very glad you brought this subject up.  I had to study it and pray about it before I could teach it.

God gave me this.  I love getting these revelations from Our Holy God.
