This study is from Rev. Finis Dake. May we all study this and find truth. Tweety PAUL Romans 1:1 Paul His history, Acts 7:58; Acts 8:1-3; Acts 9:1-30; Acts 11:25-30; Acts 12:25; Acts 13:1-28:31; Galatians 1; Phil. 3; 1 Tim. 1; 2 Cor. 11-12. His name heads up all of his epistles (except Hebrews). Greek: doulos (NT:1401), bondslave; one who is the entire property of another (note, Matthew 20:27; 1 Cor. 6:19-20; 2 Cor. 4:5). Greek: kletos (NT:2822), called. Here, called to an office and divinely selected and appointed to fill it (Romans 1:1; 1 Cor. 1:1; Galatians 1:15). Greek: apostolos (NT:652) (note, Acts 15:33). Greek: aphorizo (NT:873), set apart. Translated "separate" (Matthew 25:32; Luke 6:22; Acts 13:2; Acts 19:9; Romans 1:1; 2 Cor. 6:17; Galatians 1:15; Galatians 2:12); "divide" (Matthew 25:32); and "sever" (Matthew 13:49). Three Stages of Paul's Separation: 1. At birth, in God's mind (Galatians 1:15) 2. At conversion, from Judaism to the gospel (Acts 9:15-16; 1 Tim. 1:15-16) 3. At his commission, from secular work to the work of God (Acts 13:2; Acts 26:16-18; 1 Tim. 1:11-12) —Dake's Topics |

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: | Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. | But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. | As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. | For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. | But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. | For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. | For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: | And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. | But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, | To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: | This is marvelous. I imagine those who hate Paul and deny him, have never taken the time to read these things. So I will post some of it here. Notice the wonderful words: Paul was so sure he was preaching the very Word of God, that he said let anyone who preaches something else be accursed. I say the same thing, for I know I am preaching the exact words of God. I stay with the Written Scriptures, to the dismay of some. but notice also, Paul delcares that he did not receive his doctrine from man, but by revelation from JESUS CHRIST. so what he preached was the very words of Jesus. so to deny his words, is to deny Jesus' words. I say the same thing, for I know what I have came to me by revelation from HIM, Jesus. Notice then how Paul credits and glorfies God for even bringing him out of the womb. same words as Jesus and Jeremiah said. It is the same spirit. But notice this glory. Paul said that God was pleased to REVEAL HIS SON IN PAUL. Now that is some mighty words. I will not fight was God was pleased to do, will you? Nothing but a fool would do that! |
