Paul is Warning Christians, Eight Proofs

Eight Proofs Paul is Warning Christians

They Are Instructed to:

1. To follow the faith heroes of Hebrews 11 who surround them (Hebrews 12:1).

2. To lay aside every weight (Hebrews 12:1).

3. To lay aside the besetting sin (Hebrews 12:1).

4. To run with patience the Christian race.

5. To consider and look to Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of faith (Hebrews 12:2-4).

6. To recognize and submit to God's chastening as true sons in order to partake of His holiness (Hebrews 12:5-11).

7. To follow peace and holiness and meet other terms of blessing lest they fail of the grace of God (Hebrews 12:12-17).

8. The whole book is for Christians and to them, as proved by:

(1) We-the Christians (Hebrews 2:3; Hebrews 3:6,14; Hebrews 4:14; Hebrews 6:9,19; Hebrews 10:10,26; Hebrews 12:1; Hebrews 13:10,14)

(2) Let us-the Christians (Hebrews 4:1,11,14,16; Hebrews 6:1; Hebrews 10:22,23,24; Hebrews 12:1,28; Hebrews 13:13,15)

(3) Their salvation (Hebrews 2:10)

(4) They were sanctified (Hebrews 2:11; Hebrews 10:10,29)

(5) Holy brethren (Hebrews 2:11-12; Hebrews 3:1,12; Hebrews 10:19)

(6) Them-the saints (Hebrews 2:15,18)

(7) Many other terms in all chapters are used which prove Christians are referred to, whether they are Jews or Gentiles

Greek: pikria (NT:5088), bitterness (Hebrews 12:15; Acts 8:23; Romans 3:14; Ephes. 4:31).

And to think, they say we do not need the teachings of Paul? My, my. these precious words are the words Jesus taught Paul, for it was Jesus who made Paul a minister. No wonder he was so great!

Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Heb 12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Heb 12:4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
Heb 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

i certainly see nohting in all of paul's writings to suggest that he was anything except a great and godly man of God. he sure taught us how to live a holy and christian life.
he sure suffered enough for his own chirstian life. wonder how anyone could speak against this wonderful man of god?
