Isaiah 13- is talking about the same thing that Joel Chapter 2 is-
13:1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.
13:2 Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain,( the high mountain represents the kingdom of the Lord Jesus) “exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles?
Now he’s saying there when God gives us out commission to go forth, that is what this is talking about, lifting up the banner upon the high mountain. The high mountain being Jesus and his kingdom. And that’s when he tells his people to go into the gates of the nobles and start doing what Joel was talking about the Joel Two. Destroy the noble people. now the next verse will prove it.
13:3 I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.
13:3 I have commanded my sanctified ones,( This is Jesus talking, I have commanded, that is when he exalted the voice to us. Telling us to wait on him to the time that he rises up to the prey. See we have to wait until Jesus tells us that it is time to go forth. And that is the message, to the sanctified ones to go forth now and destroy the wicked.
I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger( The mighty ones being the one that receive the Baptism of Fire were called for his anger.) even them that rejoice in my highness. ( You see the Saints of God that were rejoicing in God were connected with his anger. It couldn’t be that we were taken off of this earth. It couldn’t be that he was talking about the people with the Holy Ghost. Because they were not called for God’s anger, they were called for God’s love, grace and mercy, upon people. Peter and on the day of Pentecost was the day when he anointed that first witness with power from on high by the baptism of the Holy Ghost for the purpose of love. Now the second witness is anointed with power from on high by the Baptism of Fire for the purpose of Gods?anger.
13:4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle
He said I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness. He could not have been talking about sinners. Now look it is the same thing in Joel said - “The noise as a multitude in the mountains,?( you see as a multitude in the nations), “like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: ( now if you read the third chapter of Joel you will see where Jesus brings all of the nations of the world up to the valley of Je-hosh a-phat, which is a spiritual symbol. Where he separates the sheep from the goats, the good nations from the bad nations. If you read the book of a Nahum, it is talking about, he tells Babylon to come on and get yourself ready for the battle to call your people up, and then Jesus calls his people up for the battle of Armmagedon.
13:4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle ( See this Is going to be a battle that the Lord is hosting.
13:5 They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
13:5 They come from a far country, ( Remember it said that Jesus went into a far country) from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land. ( This is when Jesus returns to this earth and gather his Saints together to him to fight this battle. It is not a catching up and taking us off on this earth. We were read a little later in Jeremiah where he said his people was his weapons of war. He said the weapons of his indignation, he said in Jeremiah his sanctified people was his weapons of war. So this is the Lord coming down from heaven, gathering his Saints together and going out to this battle. We will prove to you that this is the same thing that Joel was talking about “The Day Of The Lord?
13:6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; ( again it Is saying it is at hand. In other words when this takes place the day of the Lord is at hand, so this is not talking about a Sunday every week. He is talking about a time that only comes one time. The day of the Lord’s anger.
13:6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. ( The same words Joel said. God said in the mouth of two of three witnesses let every word be established, so here we have two prophets establishing his word, that the day of the Lord is a day of destruction from the Almighty.
13:7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:
13:8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
This is talking about Satan’s people, they are afraid when this day on the Lord takes place and comes upon them. This day is not going to come upon Gods?people. You do not have to fear this, this is not for you to fear. Fear that you will have to fear is the tribulation from the evil people. Not the wrath of the Lord, you will be doing this. It will not be upon Gods?people. If you have worshiped the beast and his image, the Catholic Church and the Roman Empire and that law system. If you have worshiped any of that this day will come upon you. It is only coming on them that has the mark of the beast, those that set up their Christmas trees, Easter Bunny and trees with eggs on them, those who have the Sunrise services. Any of this is the mark of the beast. You have it upon you, you are marked by the beast. The beast is the Roman church.
13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. ( See we have said at the beginning of this study that he was destroy the sinners, that is what this is talking about, this is what the day of the Lord is. The book of Revelation called it the Lords?great supper. Everybody says that this is where he has the bridegroom supper, but he said this is where he called the birds and the fowls of the air to come and to eat the flesh of the mighty men and is where Jesus tramples the wine press. The wrath of God, it is all the same thing. We can find this in other books what he called a great supper where he called the birds and the fowls of the air to come and to eat the flesh of these wicked people. That is God’s supper, his great sacrifice he said. He sacrificed that for us to get rid of those wicked people of this earth.
13:10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: ( can’t you see that it is always connected to the sixth seal. Where the sun is darkened and the moon and the stars won’t give the light. You can find it all through Gods?word. It is always connected with the day of the Lord and the day of the Lord’s wrath. ?the sun shall be darkened in his ( his not it, see this is a person, Jesus) “the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.?( her is a person, the church.)
