We are supposed to be killing witches, right?

If we don't, we are disobeying God

Do you know that the US Government has placed restrictions on the Biblically mandated practice of witch burning.

Now about the witches:

question:
Who is going to decide who is a witch and who is not?

You know in early Americal days, when they still thought they were under Leviticus laws and tried to obey this, and kill witches, lots of good, honest folks were killed by misguided folks taking false witness against good people, and ended up killing some of their best citizens.

Again, if that 'command' is not repeated and taught under the NT Grace Gospel, it is not valid for us today.

If you go back and live under the old law, you fall from grace and Jesus's sacrafice will do you no good.
If you go back to law, you will have no salvation.  Then you must also kill animals and offer their blood for your sins;  but know that when you do,
God said you are an abomination to him and bound for that hot place (hell).

So see, it is very dangerous to go back to law.

Do you still wish to do so?

Then who will give you the authority to judge, condemn and kill whom you think are witches?

Then why did Jesus tell us to love everyone and pray for them?

Think on this.

Your friend,
Jo

Now would you like for that to occur again?

Did you know that the law is that tree of the knowledge of good and evil?
God NEVER intended for anyone to be under this law.  It is DEATH.  It is witchcraft.

All those laws of the old covenant are death.  They are not the good God wants His people to have and live under.

But to all who still choose law against Grace, they will some day be judged by those same laws and therefore condemned to hell;  for the law is not of faith; it cannot ever bring salvation.

All who go back to law since Jesus died and gave us grace, a command to love our neighbor as our self and forgive from the heart every trespass against us, will end up lost just as Adam did.

Adam chose the law instead of grace.  That is what he did which brought death.  The law still brings death.

That is why God lets those things happen -- for they choose this tree of knowledge of good and evil. [by the law is the knowledge of sin]....
so see, that is why all those bad things are there in that law!!!!!!!!!

Unless we show merch = grace = and forgive every sin against us, then we will have no mercy but law, judgment.  God will not forgive our sins, unless we also forgive others.

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Jo,so how do we know who is a witch, thats easy, they call themselves today, 'Wiccans'...

Jesus would weep tears of joy if he leaned down off his cloud and sniffed up the burning flesh of a witch....

Deuteronomy 18:10 says, "There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch."

Ok Joe44 tell me what are we supposed to do to our children that rebel?

1Sa 15:23 - For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Is not rebellion the same as witchcraft? Sure it is. Are we to kill someone on this account? Surely not.

Joe, the ONLY one who has the right to 'burn' them will do so in His own time = our creator.

He created us;  we are not our own; we are bought with a price; we belong to Him......so when He determines that one is wicked and evil and He desires to destroy that wicked one.....He will do so in His own way and time.....and He will be just in doing so......
It is not up to you and me to determine this or bring their destruction.

all who wish to do so are wicked their own selves......and not praying for them to repent as they should be doing.

If they set out to hurt you, all you have to do is pray and trust in Jesus and He will deliver you [if you are his child].  It surely seem evident to me from your speech that you are not His.

You sound pretty rebellious to me -------???so maybe you are in witchcraft>>>>and need to be burned???????  Now how does that hit you???

Jo,I am a child of God,and I believe you are saying you are a child of Jesus,so you worship Jesus and I worship God.

And I guess you don't understand what God is saying in this verse?

Exodus 22:18 says, "Suffer not a witch to live."

This is a long dead thread, but it did amuse me no end.

So Joe, you think that being a card carrying member of God's little family requires you to commit murder on witches? Oooooo, you are a nasty piece of works.

We welcome you to Build on the True Foundation.  That is what it is all about  = building your spiritual 'house' on the right foundation, so it can stand when the storms strike against it.

Yes, that Joe44 was a bit nasty.  Glad you brought this thread back up.  It has some things in it which I am studying on right now.

Glad to see you posting with us and hope to keep hearing from you.  Also hope you find some good messages you will enjoy and learn from.

Hi, seizednecromancern

We welcome you to Build on the True Foundation.

I am just curious about something. Why of all the messages that we have on this board, why would you go all the way back to 2004 and bring this message back to the top. Of all the messages, why this one. The last message that was done on this message was Sent: 7/11/2004 5:53 PM. Just curious I guess. Must took some time on your part.

I apologise for the late reply, Axs. I have been working quite a lot lately.

I have read through most of the messages on this site, and I feel under qualified to respond to most of them. This particular passage from Exodus has always been one I have had difficulties with. And when this passage is used in such a vicious manner, such as the way Joe has presented it, I feel a sense of annoyance.

I hope this answers your question.

I have heard that during the grace period, we are not to follow these law guides, but during the judgment time, those who disobeyed and lived the sinful lives of witchcraft, homosexuality, et.  will then be punished by the same decrees which God gave under the law.

In other words, at that time,  God himself will not allow these rebells to continue to live.  I am not sure, but it certainly does make sense to me.

Do any of you have revelation of this matter?
