Revelation chapter 12 from verse 7
</DIR></DIR></DIR></DIR> Revelation 12:1 through 12:6 speaks of the persecution of the early church.
The last half of the chapter speaks of the persecution of the church during the last three and a half years tribulation under the beast of Revelation chapter 13.
Revelation 12:13 through Revelation 12:17 (below) gives an overview of the persecution of the saints of the most High (Dan.12:12, Re.8:3-4) who will stand against the beasts of Revelation chapter 13 during the last 3-1/2 years/1260 days prior to the sounding of the Seventh, and final, TRUMPET, 1 Thess.4:16-17.
Also see Revelation 16:6 and Revelation 17:6.
It is most particularly at the Fifth TRUMPET, the First Woe, at the opening of the bottomless pit (Re.9:1-2, 12), that Satan knows he has but a short time, Revelation 12:12 below.
The 144,000, the remnant of Israel (Re.14:1-7, Zeph.3:13), have a place prepared for them by God to protect them for a time, and times and half a time (3-1/2 years - Re.12:14 below) during the war with the remnant (the rest) of the seed of the woman, Revelation 12:17 below.
Also see Daniel 8:24, Daniel 12:6-7 below.
Re.12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon (Re.12:3, Re.12:9); and the dragon fought and his angels,
Re.12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Re.12:9 And the GREAT DRAGON was cast out, that OLD SERPENT, called the DEVIL, and SATAN, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out INTO the earth (Re.9:1-2, Re.9:11), and his angels were cast out with him.
Re.12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ (Re.11:15): for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Re.12:11 And they (the brethren, Re.12:10) overcame him (Satan - Re.12:9) by the blood of the Lamb (the Savior), and by the word of their testimony (Re.19:10); and they loved not their lives unto the death (Re.6:9-11).
Re.12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them (Re.13:6). WOE to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Re.12:13 And when the DRAGON (Re.12:9) saw that he was cast UNTO the earth (Re.9:1-2), he persecuted the woman which BROUGHT FORTH the man child (Re.12:4-5, Matt.1:21).
Re.12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a Time, and Times, and half a Time (3-1/2 years/1260 days), from the face of the SERPENT (Re.12:9).
NOTE: Time = 1 year, Times = 2 years, and an half a Time = 1/2 year.
Re.12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
Re.12:16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon (Re.12:13) cast out of his mouth.
Re.12:17 And the DRAGON (Re.12:9, Re.20:2) was wroth with the woman (the church of God - 1 Cor.10:32, Col.1:22, Col.1:24), and went to make war (Re.13:1, Re. 13:7, Re.13:11, Re.13:15, Dan. 7:21, Dan.7:25) with the remnant (the rest) of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Dan.8:24 And his (the king's - Dan.8:23/little horn's - Dan.8:9 Dan.7:24) power shall be mighty, but not by his own power (but Satan's, Re.13:11-12): and he shall destroy wonderfully (Re.13:15), and shall prosper, and practice, and shall DESTROY the mighty and the holy people (Dan.12:7, Col.1:22, Eph.1:4).
Dan.12:6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the END of these wonders?
Dan.12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever (Re.10:6) that it shall be for a time, times, and an half (3-1/2 years/1260 days); and WHEN HE (the little horn, Dan.7:8) SHALL HAVE ACCOMPLISHED TO SCATTER THE POWER OF THE HOLY PEOPLE (Dan.8:24 above, Re.11:3, Re.11:7), ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE FINISHED (Re.10:7).
