~~ Who Are You? ~~ By: Jo Smith *** Feb. 1, 2007

Who are you, really? Most would answer this question with their name. I am Jo Smith. That is who I am. But who is Jo Smith to her Mother? I am a daughter to my Mother. That is a relationship which is unique to my Mother and her alone. She knows me in a way which no one else knows me. I am no one else’s daughter. Of course I am my Daddy’s daughter also. But this is still a different relationship. Of course they are the only two people is all the world who know me as Daughter.

Who is Jo Smith to Bucky Smith? I am his wife. That is a unique relationship with him and only him. He is the only person who knows me as Wife. He is the only person I know as Husband.

Who is Jo Smith to Becky Smith? I am her Mother. She is my daughter. It is a unique relationship. I also have other daughters, but this relationship with Becky is different and unique from the relationship with Wanna, Rhonda and Rachel, when she lived. They are the only people on this entire earth who know me as Mother. They are the only people I know as Daughters.

Mother did not know me in the same way Wanna knows me. Bucky did not know me as Becky knows me. I am different to each of them. Yet it is still just me. I react differently to each of these people, for I have a totally different relationship with each of them. And so it is with everyone. Who is Jo to Larry? Larry knows me totally as a friend. That is another unique relationship. Even though we have other friends, the friendship with each other is unique. He sees me totally different from the way my friend Tweety sees me.

Who am I to my employer? See I am totally a different person to her than to anyone else. She sees me totally different than any of the others in my life see me. And so it is with every person we know in life. We are a ‘different?person to each of them. Yet it is still just me. If you asked each of these people to write about the person that I am, they would all tell something different, for they all know me differently. I am different to each of the people in my life, because of the unique relationship with each of them. I could not be ‘daughter?to Bucky. I could not be wife to Wanna. I am her Mother. I could not be ‘Mother?to my Mother. Neither could I be my own Mother. I cannot be my own child. I cannot be my own sister. I have five sisters. None of them know me the same way. I am a sister to each of them, but I cannot be my own sister.

Now you may wonder what is this all about? It is simple. An entire FALSE DOCTRINE has been built on the ‘supposition?that Jesus is his own Father. Jesus is his own Son. I have actually heard people, who believe in this false ‘Jesus-only?doctrine, trying to explain it by saying, Well I am a father, and I am a son. I told the man saying this to me, yes, but you are not your own Father and you are not your own son. In order to have a father and a son, there has to be THREE of you.

Jesus is not his own Father anymore than I can be my own Mother. It is sheer foolishness. Even people who say they believe in a trinity, turn around, get confused and say Jesus is the Son of God but he is also God. They say he is also the Father. Now if you can see the relationships as I laid out at the beginning of this message, that would be true, IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SAYING.

I can truthfully say Jesus is a Son and Jesus is a Father, and Jesus is a wife, and Jesus is a husband, and Jesus is a brother, and Jesus is a Mother, and Jesus is a Saviour, and Jesus is the Son of the Saviour, IF I KNOW THE TRUTH.

Of course all of this is CONFUSING to the ignorant and unlearned. Then they think that because it confuses them, that it proves it is not of God. They misuse the Scripture saying that God is not the author of confusion. True. God does not cause the confusion. False teachings already in your mind causes the confusion. False teachings are nothing but confusion. So you need to carefully and honestly analyze what you believe. Is it sensible? Is it written in Scripture, just as you believe it? If not, then the confusion is in your own mind. If your beliefs cross some other Scripture and does not fit it all the way, then you do not have the truth. Truth never crosses Truth. It fits the Word all the way.

Spiritual things must be understood by Spiritual things. To be a ‘wife?spiritually is not the same relationship as humans have. But it does compare. See all of this is to show you that Jesus can be a wife to one being. He can be a husband to others. He is Son to one and he is Father to others. He is Mother to many. It is spiritual. There are people who are so carnal minded that when they hear these words, their mind goes immediately to human flesh. They think that to be a mother, Jesus had to be a human female. It has absolutely nothing to do with human flesh. Human flesh is only a type of the spiritual things.

Then of course, Jesus also had to have a Son of God himself. Even though he is a Son of God, he himself had to bear a Son of God. It is spiritual. Jesus was a fleshly son of God. He was a fleshly son of Mary. But he had to bear a spiritual Son of God, in order to have eternal life.

Jesus has a different relationship with many, just as we do. To God, Jesus was a son. But to God Jesus also has the unique position of being WIFE. All of this is spiritual. Spiritually God must put his Seed into a person, in order for that person to be born of God. This is also how one becomes his Wife. This is also how one bears a child of God. I have explained all of this many times, in many ways, but it is something people just cannot get. So I am trying again to show this in a way that perhaps someone can understand.

So can Jesus be different things to us? Let Him tell us: Mt 12:46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Mt 12:47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. Mt 12:48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? Mt 12:49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! Mt 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Mr 3:31 There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him. Mr 3:32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. Mr 3:33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? Mr 3:34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! Mr 3:35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

OK, there is the required two witnesses stating this same thing. Jesus said whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother. So if I do the will of God I am sister to Jesus, and mother to Jesus. Not only that, but other Scriptures teaches that Jesus is my Father. People mostly just read words. They do not seek for the true meanings. But all of this means something. How am I the mother of Jesus? Did you ever think of this and analyze it to get the meaning? Also since Jesus travailed at Calvary to birth children to God, then he is my Mother. Confusing? Sure, it is to the unlearned. If you try to understand this carnally, humanly, you will see nothing but confusion. Did God cause the confusion? No, it was the person’s own lack of spiritual understanding.

Is there Scripture proving that Jesus is the Spiritual Mother? Yes. Isa 8:16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. Isa 8:17 And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. Isa 8:18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

Now that Scripture is Jesus speaking in prophecy. He is speaking of his disciples here. They (we) are his children. But this still does not prove Mother, does it? Could be Father, right? Sure, it is both. We are the children God gave to Jesus. Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

Isa 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

He shall see the TRAVAIL of his soul. Travail means pains of childbirth. This Scripture establishes that travail is connected with childbirth: Jer 31:8 Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.

Jer 30:6 Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

So, does a man travail with child? Let Paul tell us: Gal 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

Why is he saying I travail in birth AGAIN? Because he knew that Jesus had already travailed in birth for us at Calvary, according to Isa. 53: 11.

Isa. 9:6 shows that the child which was to be born, would someday be called the Everlasting Father. Now many use this to say that Jesus is the Father. This is not what it is saying. It is saying that Jesus will be OUR Father, in that God, His Father, gave him, Jesus, the same power and authority as God has. Thus Jesus was given the Spiritual MALE power to beget children. He then puts his Spirit, the Holy Ghost, into us and causes Christ to be formed in us. Thus Jesus became our Father. He puts his Seed, or his word, and his Spirit into us to give us life. That Christ child, forming in us, to come forth at our resurrection, is our Son of God. This is how we are ‘mother?to Jesus. We are both, Jesus and Us, children of God, thus he is my brother and I am his sister. Heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. God is the Father of us all. Jesus is our Father, God is his Father. Jesus is our head, God is his head.

Ho 13:13 The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for he should not stay long in the place of the breaking forth of children.

Now see this said the sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon HIM. He should not stay long in the place of the breaking forth of Children. It is Jesus. He was the one. He is the one who travailed in birth. He is the one who did not stay long in that grave, the place of the breaking forth of children.

Read the following Scripture. It can be speaking of no one except Jesus Christ:

Isa 54:4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. Isa 54:5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

Isa 54:6 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

Isa 54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. Isa 54:8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.

Isa 54:9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. Isa 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

Isa 54:11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. Isa 54:12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. Isa 54:13 And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children. Isa 54:14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. Isa 54:15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

Now verses 12-14 is clearly describing the New Jerusalem, the City of the Lord. It is Jesus?kingdom. It is the same as Rev. 21. This is speaking of at the cross, when God forsook Jesus. For a small moment have I forsaken thee. My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me? It is Jesus speaking to His God and His husband.

To us, Jesus is a husband, but to God, Jesus is a wife. God put his Spirit into Jesus and brought forth the Begotten Son of God. Thus God was his Father and His husband. Jesus then becomes a husband to us and he is our father. Jesus is a ‘son?to God, but he is a Father to me. It is totally spiritual. You cannot understand this carnally. Since God put his Spirit and Word or seed, into Jesus, and brought forth children, then Jesus is our Mother. Since we are both children of God, Jesus is my brother, I am his sister. Since I must bear Christ in myself, I become Mother to Jesus. It is most glorious.

Mary did bear a Son of God, but it was Mary herself, as she yielded herself to God and let the Spirit of God bring forth Christ in her. This is her eternal life. Each Christian must do this same thing. As we are wife to Jesus, we then must bear a child of Jesus, which is our own selves becoming conformed to his image by Christ being formed in us. Now this is NOT saying that Mary did not bear a virgin born human son, Jesus. Sure she did. But I am speaking of the spiritual things here. He that has ears, let him hear. It is spiritual. Do not think of it in the human flesh. It is not there.

1Peter 3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

Now don’t you see that Peter told us we have a hidden man of our heart? It is that inner Christ child growing inside us. Jesus did exactly this same thing. He had the Spirit of God inside him, bringing forth the hidden man of the heart, the Emmanuel.

AMEN
