~ Scripture declaring Jesus is God’s Son; not God himself. ~

I am going to list some Scriptures here which shows Jesus to be the Son of God. The Word does not teach that Jesus was God; but God’s Son.

Luke 3: 22. and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form, as a dove, upon him, and a voice came out of heaven, Thou art my beloved Son: in thee I am well pleased.

Luke 4: 3. And the devil said unto him, If thou art the Son of God, command this stone that it become bread.

Notice, the devil is not questioning is Jesus God; he is saying are you the Son of God. Being God is not in question here.

9. And he led him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou art the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

Matt. 2: 15. and was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt did I call my son. (I ask you, who is speaking here? Who said I called MY SON?) Does one speak that way of themselves? I think not.

3: 16. And Jesus when he was baptized, went up straightway from the water: and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon him;

17. and lo, a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

DECLARED TO BE THE SON OF GOD BY:

Matt. 8: 29. And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? (demons)

14: 33. And they that were in the boat worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. (disciples in boat)

16: 16. And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father who is in heaven. (Peter, his revelation from the Father) -- notice, God did not reveal to Peter that Jesus was God, but the Son of God.

17: 5. While he was yet speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. (God)

27: 54. Now the centurion, and they that were with him watching Jesus, when they saw the earthquake, and the things that were done, feared exceedingly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. (centurion at crucifixion)

Mark 1

1. The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (Word of God by Mark)

11. And a voice came out of the heavens, Thou art my beloved Son, in thee I am well pleased. (God)

3: 11. And the unclean spirits, whensoever they beheld him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God. (unclean spirits)

Mark 5: 7. and crying out with a loud voice, he saith, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the Most High God? I adjure thee by God, torment me not. (demons in man)

9: 7. And there came a cloud overshadowing them: and there came a voice out of the cloud, This is my beloved Son: hear ye him. (God)

14: 61. But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and saith unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

62. And Jesus said, I am: (Jesus himself)

15: 39. And when the centurion, who stood by over against him, saw that he so gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God. (centurion)

Luke 1: 32. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: (word of God by Luke)

35. And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee: wherefore also the holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. (angel to Mary)

22: 70. And they all said, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am. (Jesus)

John 1: 18. No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. (Word of God by John)

33. And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize in water, he said unto me, Upon whomsoever thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and abiding upon him, the same is he that baptizeth in the Holy Ghost.

34. And I have seen, and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.

(John the Baptist as told to him by God of sending the Spirit upon him)

(John saw and bore witness that this is the Son of God; did not say this is God) (Notice also that none of these people had any question of Jesus being God; they were questioning if he were the Son of God. They never at any time thought Jesus was God. It is just not in the Word.)

49. Nathanael answered him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art King of Israel. (Nathanael’s revelation; he also did not get a revelation that this was God; but God’s Son)

3: 16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.

17. For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him. (word of God by Jesus himself)

18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God (Jesus)

5: 23. that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father that sent him. (Jesus)

Here is the ground laid to set Jesus on the throne of God with God; so we can call Jesus our God and honour him as God. This is not saying Jesus is God; only sitting at the right hand of God; sharing the God power and authority, God’s Throne.

6: 68. Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

69. And we have believed and know that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. (Peter)

9: 35. Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and finding him, he said, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

36. He answered and said, And who is he, Lord, that I may believe on him?

37. Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and he it is that speaketh with thee.

38. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. (Jesus )

10: 36. say ye of him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? (Jesus)

11: 4. But when Jesus heard it, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified thereby. (Jesus)

11: 27. She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I have believed that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, even he that cometh into the world. (Martha) (wonder why none of these people declared they believed He was God?)

John 17

1. These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the son may glorify thee:

2. even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that to all whom thou hast given him, he should give eternal life.

3. And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. (Jesus) ( powerful words here by Jesus himself - - v3- this is life eternal to know the only true God (this is Jesus talking to God; that they might know THEE, the only true God, and him whom God sent, even Jesus)

19: 7. The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God. (the Jews) (they also never said Jesus made himself to be God).

20: 31. but these are written, that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye may have life in his name. (Word of God by John)

Acts 3: 13. The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied before the face of Pilate, when he had determined to release him. (Peter)

26. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities. (Peter)

8: 37. [And Philip said, If thou believest with all thy heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

(the eunuch whom Philip had taught about Jesus ; see this proves that Philip did not declare Jesus to be God to this man; this man knew nothing about Jesus before this; so he had to be going strictly on what Philip preached to him. It said Philip began at the same Scripture and preached to him Jesus; so this proves Philip taught that Jesus was God’s Son; not God. If he had told this man that Jesus was God, as most folks do today, then this man would have declared I believe that Jesus is God. But see, he did NOT say that; said I believe that Jesus is God’s Son.) Praise the Lord, so do I.

None of these people make the confession which people do today - none of them declared, “I believe that Jesus is God.?Yet if you do not say this today, everyone thinks you are just about an atheist. Something is badly wrong in the church today. Their belief does not match what is written in the Word of God.

.

9: 20. And straightway in the synagogues he proclaimed Jesus, that he is the Son of God.

(Paul - immediately after his conversion. Now before this, Paul hated Jesus and thought he was an imposter. But what did he declare as soon as he had met Jesus and the disciples? He said He is the Son of God. Surely this is one of the greatest proofs in the Scripture -- this man Paul, who had been persecuting the Christians, hating Jesus now declares that Jesus is the Son of God. He did not learn from Jesus or the disciples that Jesus is God. If so he would have declared this here).

And if it means the same thing, etc. as God’s Son also means he is God, then why did they not say so?

13: 33. that God hath fulfilled the same unto our children, in that he raised up Jesus; as also it is written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. (Paul, quoting from Psalm 2, declared that Jesus is this Son God was speaking of in this Psalm.)

Romans 1

1. Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

2. which he promised afore through his prophets in the holy scriptures,

3. concerning his Son, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh,

4. who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead; even Jesus Christ our Lord,

(Paul, declaring that Jesus was declared to be the Son of God with power by the resurrection. Now see Paul never declares that Jesus is God. Wonder why?

Notice also that he said this is according to the spirit of holiness -- so I say it is holy to declare that Jesus is God’s Son; not God himself.

If you can find in the Word where Jesus is declared to be God; and not just sharing the throne of God as our God, then show it. It is not there. Thomas declared after the resurrection, that Jesus was his personal God - My Lord and My God. See the same revelation as here, after the resurrection Jesus was raised up to sit on the throne of God, thereby making him to be our personal God; but not God himself.

9. For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you, always in my prayers (Paul) still calling Jesus God’s Son.

5: 10. For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life; (Paul, saying God’s Son died; not saying God died. Surely you know God cannot die?)

8: 3. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: (Paul, here he is declaring that God sent his son in the likeness of sinful flesh; does not say God came here in the likeness of sinful flesh; said he sent his Son).

29. For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren: (Paul, saying we will be conformed to the image of God’s Son; not God himself; for God is a Spirit)

32. He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things? (Paul, once again declaring that God did not spare his own Son, but delivered him up to die for us; does not say God died for us; God cannot die.)

1Cor. 1: 9. God is faithful, through whom ye were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. (Paul)

15: 28. And when all things have been subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject to him that did put all things under him, that God may be all in all. (Paul---- this is powerful - he is saying that Jesus himself will be subject unto God; how is he going to be subject to himself? That is foolish speech.)

11Cor. 1: 19. For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timothy, was not yea and nay, but in him is yea. (Paul)

Gal. 1: 15. But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me, even from my mother's womb, and called me through his grace,

16. to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles; straightway I conferred not with flesh and blood: (Paul)

2: 20. I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me: and that life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me. (Paul, --Paul you sure did not believe Jesus was God, for you surely did say over & over that Jesus is God’s Son; same as all the other apostles and disciples).

4: 4. but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

5. that he might redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

6. And because ye are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of his Son into our hearts (Paul) (this does not say God was made or born of a woman. It is blasphemous to say Mary gave birth to God. God is eternal; an eternal Spirit. How was Mary going to birth a Spirit?)

Eph. 4: 13. till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: (Paul, saying we grow up by the knowledge of the Son of God).

Col. 1: 12. giving thanks unto the Father, who made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;

13. who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love;

14. in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins:

15. who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;

(Paul, saying that God translated us into his Son’s kingdom. See we were not placed into the Father’s kingdom; for this is a kingdom of Spirits. The Son’s kingdom is made up of fleshly beings, including himself.) See also, that it said he is the IMAGE of the invisible; not that he is that invisible God.

1Thes. 1: 9. For they themselves report concerning us what manner of entering in we had unto you; and how ye turned unto God from idols, to serve the living and true God,

10. and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivereth us from the wrath to come. (Paul).

Hebrews 1

1. God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets

2. hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds;

3. who being the brightness of his glory, and the very image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had made by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

4. Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath inherited a more excellent name than they.

5. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee? and again, I will be to him a Father, And he shall be to me a Son?

6. And when he again bringeth in the firstborn into the world he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

7. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, And his ministers a flame a fire:

8. but of the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; And the sceptre of righteouness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

9. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Now this is a lot of Scripture, but it is all very good and necessary to this message.

Verse 1 & 2 declare that God put away the O.T. Prophets as a means of speaking to folks since Jesus came on this earth. To declare we need Prophets to go to God for us today is to flat DENY the Word of Jesus and the Word of God to set Jesus as the only one He speaks to us by since his birth.

The other verses show how God gave Jesus to be called God and set him up on the throne of God with himself; thus making Jesus to be one with the Kingdom of Spirits; though he himself is still a man.

4: 14. Having then a great high priest, who hath passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. (Paul)

Now this one is very needful; for it shows that even after Jesus passed into heaven, he is still the Son of God, and not God himself.

1John 1: 3. that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you also, that ye also may have fellowship with us: yea, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ: (John)

7. but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (John)

2: 22. Who is the liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, even he that denieth the Father and the Son. (John). this is saying if you deny that there is a Father AND a Son, you are antichrist.

Better flee that Jesus only doctrine. I ask anyone believing this, why waste words so much by repeating this many times that he is the Son of God - if he is indeed God? Why not just say God and be done with it?

Think about this for a change.

3: 8. he that doeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. To this end was the Son of God manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

(John - so seems John declares this just as much as Paul did - who you gonna believe, those Apostles, who are the foundation of the Holy City, or these modern day messed up churches?

23. And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as he gave us commandment.

UH oh. Here is a COMMANDMENT to believe the Son of God. And I tell all trinity folks that I have not found one single verse which called Jesus the second person of any Godhead. Do any of you know where that verse is supposed to be? I mean after all, almost the whole church world teaches and believes this lie. So I ask, where is even one supporting verse for it?

Or one saying God the Son? HUH? Where is one. Anybody?

And you Jesus only people, how do you account for this many verses declaring that Jesus is God’s Son. The only places which even hints that he is God are clearly speaking of when he was placed on God’s Throne with God to be our personal God. There is not one verse declaring the man Jesus before the resurrection to be God.

The Emmanuel - God with us, is not speaking of Mary’s fleshly son; it is speaking of God’s only begotten Son. This Son was begotten from the dead--- at the time of his resurrection.

Better get this straight, or be an antichrist.

4: 9. Herein was the love of God manifested in us, that God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world that we might live through him.

10. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

12. No man hath seen God at any time: if we love one another, God abideth in us, and his love is perfected in us:

Now this one is very powerful. It declares that no man has ever seen God. No one has ever looked with their physical eyes upon God. But many saw Jesus.

15. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abideth in him, and he in God.

Now does this say confess that Jesus is God? No, it does NOT. It said confess he is the Son of God.

Wonder why it did not say confess, as millions do, that Jesus is God?

5: 9. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for the witness of God is this, which he hath testified of his Son.

10. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in him: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believed not the record that God hath borne concerning his Son.

(this is powerful - it said that if you do not believe on God’s SON, you call God a lie, for this is the record that God gave of HIS SON; NOT OF HIMSELF. You had better quit adding to and changing God’s Word. He will add the plagues of the Book to you.

11. And the witness is this, that God gave unto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12. He that hath the Son hath life; he that hath not the Son of God hath not the life.

13. These things have I written unto you, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, even unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God.

20. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

11John 3. Grace, mercy, peace shall be with us, from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

Now look how clearly that is stated -- it was done for a purpose -- “the Son of the Father....?Who can deny this? Only a foolish person.

9. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God: he that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, the same hath BOTH the Father and the Son.

Now, that word BOTH means two different beings.

Rev. 1: 18. And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like a flame of fire, and his feet are like unto burnished brass:

So all the way to the end, Revelation, Jesus is still called the Son of God. Why not just say God?
