~~ Hebrews ~~

I am going to start doing some messages from Hebrews. Heb 2:5 For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. Heb 2:6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Heb 2:7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: 2:8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

Verse 7... Thou (you ) made him a little lower than the angels. This is speaking to God about Jesus.

Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Heb 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Now the above verse is speaking of God, the Father, in verse 10. It became him, (who?), the one who was bringing many sons unto glory?to make the CAPTAIN of their salvation perfect through sufferings. So, who is the captain of our salvation? It is Jesus. So it is not saying that Jesus is the one for whom are all things, and by whom are all things. It was speaking there of God, the Father. It was God who made the captain of our salvation perfect through sufferings.

Heb 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Heb 2:12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. Heb 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Verse 12 is Jesus speaking and calling us brethren. It is Jesus who said, I and the children which God hath given to me. So Jesus is not saying I am God. He is saying God gave me these children. Verse 14.. Since the children were partakers of flesh and blood, Jesus also took part of the same. He was a flesh and blood MAN, not a god.

Heb 2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

Jesus took on him the seed of Abraham. So this proves that he was totally a human man. There is not one single verse of Scripture calling Jesus a God-man, or God in flesh, or any other such term. He was the son of David and the seed of Abraham. He was fully human being and not one bit God. It is time people study this word and stop making lies about it, by listening to man’s made up false doctrines.

Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. Heb 2:18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Verse 17 proves this truth. Jesus was made like unto his brethren in all things. He was not part God, for the brethren are not part God. If Jesus were a God/man, as the false teachings of man declares, then he was not made in all things like unto his brethren. Which of his brethren was part man and part God? I know of no one.

Heb 2:18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Now the Word declares that God cannot be tempted. So Jesus proves by this suffering temptations, that he was not God. He was man, just as we are. Yet he never sinned This is his glory.

I will add to this as I write more.

~~ Hebrews, chapter one ~~

Heb 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

God spoke through OT times by prophets. But in these last days, or the NT times, God now speaks to us by his SON. So the words that the Son said were the words which God gave him to teach and say. God appointed this son to be heir of all things. He also made the worlds by this pattern son. We are all to be conformed to the image of this Son of God.

Jesus was not the express image of himself. He was the image of his Father, God. He now sits on the right hand of God, ruling on God’s throne in heaven. God does NOT speak in the NT times by prophets. NT prophets only foretell of certain events which will shortly follow. They do not give out the Word of God, as the OT Prophets did. (Does not mean that they do not teach it. Means they do not give out new Scripture).

We must only teach now, what Jesus taught us. God speaks through his Son, Jesus. He will never raise up another OT type prophet, to give out the Word of God. John the Baptist was the last of these type of prophets. Jesus spoke as a prophet, but he is speaking as the Son of God, and finished the OT ministry. Thus, Jesus was the ENDING of that age of Prophets. He is the BEGINNNING of this new age of the gospel of salvation. HE is the High Priest of this new covenant. It is not a Levitical Priesthood. (will get into that in another chapter).

Heb 1:4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. (See that Jesus inherited this excellent name.)

Heb 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

This shows that God never at any time said to any angel, You are my Son, this day have I begotten thee. He clearly shows here that he is still a Father to Jesus and Jesus is a Son to him. He did NOT say we are one and same.

Heb 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. Heb 1:7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

Heb 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

The first begotten was the resurrected Christ. This is the day God beget this Son, not the day Mary had her baby. God did not beget his son in the womb of Mary. He beget his Son in the life of Jesus, by resurrecting this obedient son into the glorious image of the eternal God. Jesus was in the likeness of sinful man in his lifetime here on earth. Rom. 8.

Verse eight happened in Revelation five, when God set Jesus up to rule as our God. God spoke to Jesus here and called Jesus God.

Heb 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Here God is speaking to Jesus, after he ascended to heaven. He said to Jesus, therefore God, even THY GOD, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. God here calls Jesus God, and calls himself God to Jesus. God anointed Jesus. Jesus did not anoint himself. Jesus is not speaking to himself here. That would be very foolish.

Heb 1:10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

Heb 1:11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

Heb 1:12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

Heb 1:13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

Heb 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

God tells Jesus that in the beginning he laid the foundation of the earth and the heavens. This is not the creation of the old world. It is the creation of a new world, built by the pattern of the perfect Son, Jesus. Jesus laid this foundation, with his true teachings. It is totally spiritual. That old world waxed old and vanished away. But the new world, built on the true teachings of Jesus will never end. Jesus is the only one to whom God said, sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. That is still going on.

~~ Hebrews six ~~

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 6:3 And this will we do, if God permit.

I wish to do all chapters in Hebrews, but I wanted to do six next, because there is such a needful and neglected admonition from God, in the beginning of this chapter. I say it is time God’s people begin to learn the Word of God and obey it. It is time to grow up in Christ and stop being invalid babies.

Look at verse one. He said, leave the principles of the doctrine of Christ and GO ON UNTO PERFECTION. So we see then that hanging around the beginning principles of the doctrine of Christ for long keeps you from going on to perfection, or growing up. So what is this doctrine which we should leave and go on unto something else? Read it. It fully shows you.

Not laying again the FOUNDATION of REPENTANCE from dead works, and of faith toward God. In other words, the very beginning of your walk with God! Laying again the very foundation of your spiritual house. What is that? Coming to repentance from your dead works of law and church stuff or sin. It is the very beginning of your walk with God, repentance. So why are you all hanging around this foundation-laying for all of your lives?

What else? Of faith toward God. This is speaking of when you first began to really believe in God. This is where almost everyone hangs around all their lives. It gets them nowhere. They are still invalid babies concerning the things of God. They have no faith. They know no knowledge. They cannot take Scripture and prove the false doctrines to be just that. They are carried about with every wind of doctrine, because they did not get into the Word and study and grow up.

But notice the next thing which is part of this foundation, the doctrine of baptisms. Yes, people hang around this thing of baptism all their lives and never get into any deep things of God. Some churches spend their entire time on this subject. They have spent 100 years on this subject, and do not know any more about the deep things of God now, than they did then. God is not pleased with such things. And this is the very reason every wind of doctrine has infiltrated the churches and the people have no idea what truth is. They did not go on into the things of God, the Word. They just hung around baptism and who is Christ, all their lives and got into no perfection.

Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

The above is strong meat. It is very needful for you to get into this truth. This is something which God says is impossible, so you all need to take close heed. What is it that is impossible? Those who once knew the truth and had received of the Holy Ghost and tasted the good word of God, then they fell away, it is impossible to renew them again unto repentance.

You cannot go back and forth, from grace to law, and back and forth, trying to keep OT laws, Sabbaths, and all such things, mixing them up with grace, and then think you can be renewed to repentance again. This is crucifying the Son of God afresh and putting him to an open shame. If that law could have given you life, then life would have come by law, and Jesus would never have died for us. So you do put him to open shame, returning back to law.

You who go back and forth into sin and over and over do this thing, are putting Jesus to shame. It is impossible to renew you again to that foundation. You had better take heed and stop listening to the fake preachers who tell you that you can just do as you please and get back right with God anytime. It is lies and will damn your soul.

Heb 6:7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

Heb 6:8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

Now the above two verses prove that the interpretation of the verse six is correct. See, God said in Genesis one, that he gave the green herbs as meat to those who were in the perfect creation of chapter one. So this green pastures, or herbs, is speaking about the things of GRACE. It is the perfect and good things of God. We did several message a while back, proving that the thorns and briers mean that LAW. So see, that it is speaking of falling away back to law. It shows that those who revert back to law, after coming to God by Grace, return to ground, (or your life), which is bearing thorns and briers, instead of those green herbs. This is nigh unto cursing, whose end is to be burned. Why the cursing? Because that law was A CURSE.

People, this is more serious than you can imagine. We have tried for years to show you the danger of trying to serve God by law, and it has been shunned. But I say this chapter proves what we taught, and you need to listen and take heed.

Heb 6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

Why is he persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation? Because it is the grace, or green herbs, which accompanies salvation. That law is not giving anyone salvation. So those who stay with Grace, or the green herbs, are those he is speaking to here.

Heb 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Here he is speaking to those who live by Grace, having been baptized in His Name and are ministering these things to the saints.

Heb 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

Heb 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Who inherits the promises? Those who obey the NT salvation. Those who live by Grace and not law.

Heb 6:13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

Heb 6:14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

Heb 6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Heb 6:16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.

Heb 6:17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:

Heb 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Heb 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

Heb 6:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
