Proverbs 24:13---My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honey comb, which is sweet to thy taste:

v14---So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul:  when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

I find this a very marvelous principle that God compares the receiving of the knowledge of wisdom to be unto our soul as the sweetness of honey to our taste.

Notice, that it said, WHEN  you find it (the knowledge of wisdom)--there will be a reward.  See, there is a reward for finding wisdom.

What did he say the reward would be?

"Thy expectation shall not be cut off."

What is 'thy expectation?'

We are expecting to have eternal life.

So, the way to be sure that this expectation of having eternal life

is not cut off, is to find the knowledge of  WISDOM.

Yes, honey is sweet and good-~~~  BUT, be forewarned by someone

who has experienced it:  eating more than a 'little' at a time will make you gain weight!!   HA!!

Another natural benefit of honey is this:  it acts as a germicide; therefore promoting healing.

Honey is good to put on a wound like a cut or other hurt place. 

It aids in healing.

Also, Honey is a good ingredient to use in a natural, homemade cough syrup.
