~ Jeremiah 20 ~

We must as go by the Written Word just as Jesus did. We are COMMANDED by God not to add one word and take away one word.

Now when you or anyone else who fights my teachings, can go to the Written Word of God and quote it and prove this way that I said things CONTRARY = [NOT WRITTEN] in the Word of God, then I will listen to you and receive correction.

Now lets go into Jeremiah 20.

Jer 20:1 Now Pashur the son of Immer the priest, who was also chief governor in the house of the LORD, heard that Jeremiah prophesied these things. 20:2 Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the LORD. 20:3 And it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then said Jeremiah unto him, The LORD hath not called thy name Pashur, but Magormissabib. 20:4 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.

Jer 20:5 Moreover I will deliver all the strength of this city, and all the labours thereof, and all the precious things thereof, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies, which shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to Babylon. 20:6 And thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house shall go into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt die, and shalt be buried there, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied lies.

Do you know anything about 'first person' and 'third person' in English? I hope so.

First person means the person doing the speaking is speaking of themselves. It is evident with pronouns such as I, me, my, mine, our.

Third person is when the person speaking is speaking of someone other than themselves. It is evident with pronouns such as he, she, it, they, them, you, thou, thy, thine.

Now read all the above verses. They are spoken TO Pashur. It is God speaking TO Pashur ABOUT Pashur. It is NOT PASHUR SPEAKING. Can you see this?

So Pashur is NOT the person speaking here in Jeremiah 20. God said to Pashur I WILL DELIVER THIS CITY TO BABYLON. YOU PASHUR AND ALL YOUR HOUSE SHALL GO INTO CAPTIVITY AND DIE THERE.

Now:

[You must be able and led of the Spirit to rightly divide the Word]

Jer 20:7 O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me. 20:8 For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily. 20:9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. 20:10 For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Report, say they, and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, saying, Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him. 20:11 But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.

Do you have any idea who is speaking in these verses, 7-11? It is JESUS.

Jesus is speaking here in prophecy in FIRST PERSON. He said I. Verse 11, Jesus is saying the LORD = the Father, is WITH ME. Because of this, my persecutors shall stumble and not prevail.

Now reason this out, God had already pronounced death and captivity to Pashur. So then how could Pashur turn around and say the LORD is with me to cause my persecutors to stumble and not prevail? HUH? God was the one who is persecuting Pashur. So Is Pashur saying God is with me to cause God to stumble and not prevail?

Now that is what would be foolishness, to believe that.

No, it is Jesus speaking and saying God is with me and will cause my persecutors to stumble.

Now:

Jer 20:13 Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers. 20:14 Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed. 20:15 Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him very glad. 20:16 And let that man be as the cities which the LORD overthrew, and repented not: and let him hear the cry in the morning, and the shouting at noontide; 20:17 Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb to be always great with me. 20:18 Wherefore came I forth out of the womb to see labour and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?

Is that Pashur praising the LORD? Course not. It is Jesus.

Now notice that the person saying these verses is speaking in the FIRST PERSON. The person speaking is speaking of himself. He is not being spoken OF as was Pashur in the first verses.

Can you show in this chapter where Pashur starts speaking in the first person of himself? Of course not. It is not there. God had pronounced captivity and death to Pashur. Is Pashur going to turn right around and speak and say God is with me and will cause my enemies to stumble and fall? If so, then he would have to be speaking of God causing God to stumble and fall.

It is JESUS speaking here in prophecy in first person about himself.

JESUS said, Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not that day be blessed.

So how are you going bless it without crossing God?

Now is this foolishness? Of course not. It is rightly dividing the Word of God. Just because Pashur was spoken OF in the first verses, does not mean it is PASHUR speaking of himself in verse 14.

I need to point out also that JEREMIAH is being spoken OF in these verses.

Jeremiah is not speaking of himself here in the FIRST PERSON.

So verse 14 is NOT JEREMIAH SPEAKING OF HIMSELF.

It is the Word of the Lord. It is Jesus speaking in first person about Jesus.

Jer 20:7- O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me. Jer 20:8 For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily.

Ps.119:51 The proud have had me greatly in DERISION: yet have I not declined from thy law.

I know most people do not realize it, but this is JESUS speaking in prophecy. Jesus was the one they held in derision because of his stand for truth and the New Covenant of God.

La.3:14 I was a DERISION to all my people; and their song all the day.

Read Lam. 3, you will see that this chapter is of the terrible things JESUS suffered in his life. They held him in derision because of the Word of God. They mocked him daily. So, the above Scripture is all about Jesus, not Jeremiah or anyone else. This chapter is about Jesus. Read Isa. 53 and you will see that God is the one who smote JESUS. God is the one who wounded Jesus for our sins. So this is spoken by Jesus to God.

Jer 20:9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. Jer 20:10 For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Most people think the above is about Jeremiah. But no. Jeremiah was only writing the words of the Lord. In almost every chapter he declares this is the Word of the Lord. It is spoken in first person. So it is not about Jeremiah; it is about Jesus. It is Jesus speaking. Unless you learn this, you will miss so much of what the Scriptures in the Old Testament prophets reveal about Jesus. You would never guess that Jesus had such feelings and misgivings. But He did. You know that the people of his day constantly watched him and tried to provoke him with their words so they could find fault in him. That is what this is speaking of. Jesus reached a place where he was so discouraged, he had decided to stop preaching the Word. But He could not. It burned in His soul. How pitiful that almost everyone thinks this is about Jeremiah and not Jesus. It is just as they thing Psalms is about David. No. It is about Jesus.

Jer 20:11 But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten. Jer 20:12 But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause.

This is Jesus saying God was with him and would deliver him that his enemies would not prevail over him.

Jer 20:13 Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers.

Jer 20:14 Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed.

Jesus is praising God for deliverance in verse 13. In verse 14 Jesus is cursing the day he was born into human flesh. Jesus was to teach the world that we are not to glory in, walk in, or live in the outer man or human flesh. So he is saying it is cursed to be into human flesh. He is saying not to bless the day we were born as human. For the Word teaches that it were better for one not to have ever been born to live here in flesh and miss God and end up in hell fire. It is better for this person not to have ever been born.

Ec.6:3 If a man beget an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an UNTIMELY BIRTH is better than he.

Jer 20:15 Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him very glad.

Jer 20:16 And let that man be as the cities which the LORD overthrew, and repented not: and let him hear the cry in the morning, and the shouting at noontide;

Jer 20:17 Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb to be always great with me.

Now I am going to show you the spiritual revelation of the above three verse. God just revealed this to me today, April 25, 2005. This part of the above Scripture I had never understood what was being said.

The Word says there is rejoicing in Heaven when a sinner repents. Now this is spiritual talk here. If you think of it in the natural carnal sense, you will never understand it.

God is our Father. God is the Father of Jesus. So when a sinner repents that Father is glad. But there are requirements for us to go through if that baby Christ inside us is going to grow up and be born again into the Kingdom of God.

Rom.8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do MORTIFY THE DEEDS OF THE BODY, ye shall live.

Col.3:5 MORTIFY therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

So, we see from the above verses that we must mortify or kill the outer man in order that the inner man [Christ in us] might live.

Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Now all the above verses are very important to understanding the verses in Jeremiah 20: 15-17.

The man child is placed into our spiritual womb when we repent, be baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. We then begin tasting the Good Word of God. But if we go back on God willfully after this, then we will be lost. That man child will be killed, or aborted, with no hope of coming back to God and eternal life. So an untimely birth were better for such a person.

So who was the man who brought the tiding to the Father that a man child had been born? It is you, your own self, when you obey the Gospel and are filled with the Seed of God, the Holy Ghost and the Word. Now that baby Christ is growing inside your womb. So you tell God by your repentance that a man child has been born into his Family, making Him glad. There is rejoicing in Heaven over one sinner who repents!

But, see that God said we must THEN mortify, or KILL the outer man, the flesh, so that Christ Child in us can grow and live. IF that man who delivers the good tidings to the father fails to kill the outer man, then he is under a curse, for he will lose his start he made with God and lose his soul in the end. That is why Jesus cursed the day of the fleshly birth. We must do the same. We must leave that outer man to die and live for the inner man, the spiritual man. See, he said the man was under the curse BECAUSE he failed to slay me [ the fleshly man] from the womb.... or the day he was filled with the Holy Ghost. This is the day the babe is born in the womb. This is the time we must kill or mortify the deeds of the outer man. We must kill the fleshly person that day so the new baby in our womb can grow and live.

Jer 20:17 Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb to be always great with me.

Now he said also, “or that my mother might have been my grave.....�?So what is that? Our mother is our outer man, for this is the womb which the spiritual seed of God is placed into. So our human flesh is our spiritual mother which the Christ Child grows inside. It was the same with Jesus. His human flesh was the spiritual Mother which bore the man child at the resurrection. See that he was not fully born or the begotten “Son of God�?until the day of the resurrection, when He dropped the outer man and was given a glorified body.

So then he is saying our flesh, or outer man, must be the ‘grave�?where our human flesh, or outer man dies or is mortified. We must keep that human person in the grave, so the inner man, the new man, can live. They both cannot live. Paul clearly taught that we must and will mortify one or the other. Which will you kill? Which will you allow to grow and live? Remember, you cannot serve TWO masters. You must destroy one or the other.

Then He added, “and her womb to be always great with me�?

So what is this? He is saying do not let the outer man live and destroy, or abort the Christ Child which God placed into you with the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. Let that seed of God continue to grow inside you SO LONG AS YOU LIVE ON EARTH. Let your spiritual mother, or womb, be always ‘pregnant�?with the Child of God growing inside you. If you lose it, you will lose your soul in hell fire. If you willfully sin against God after he gives you the Seed of God, you will destroy that Spiritual Baby and it will go forth out of your womb and you will end up in hell fire. This is a SHAME to God and Jesus. You disgrace them with this turning back into sin and denying the One who bought you with such a great price.

So our mother, or human flesh, [womb] must be the grave for the old man to stay dead inside. But it must also always be ‘great�?with the Christ Child growing inside us. This is the only way you can obtain eternal life. It is the only way Jesus obtained eternal life. Jesus was the virgin who bore that man child to God. He was the very first one to accomplish this keeping the outer man dead, crucifying the first-man Adam, and walking in the Spirit all the days of his earthly life, and bringing forth the very first only Begotten Son of God in the likeness and glory of God the Father.

Now for the last verse: Jer 20:18 Wherefore came I forth out of the womb to see labour and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?

Why came I forth out of the womb? What womb? The ones who turned back on God, turned back on grace and let the Christ Child inside them go forth out of their womb. They turned BACK to the labour or WORKS AND SORROW of that law. Yes. Law is the works of labour which shames Jesus. Going back to law after one has received the Grace of the Holy Ghost is the way you abort that man child and lose your soul.

See this person did not let the man child continue to grow in their womb. So he came forth out of that womb and died an untimely spiritual birth. It was premature [before the resurrection; therefore it died].

Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

See then that going back to the works of law puts Jesus to an open shame? This is how this person caused his days to be consumed with shame. But, there is more.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Now don’t you see that the above verses prove that the sinning WILLFULLY means going BACK TO LAW after one has come into the Grace Covenant? It is crystal clear that he is saying this is treading Jesus under foot and shaming him? It clearly proves that such an one will be LOST, even though they had been filled with the Christ child at one time. God will take vengeance on such a person. This is exactly how you cause the Christ to go out of your womb and shame him all your days on earth. You count the blood of His Covenant wherewith you WERE sanctified as an unholy thing, for when you go back to law, you also go back under the blood of bulls and goats! What a SHAME!

We know the law is not of faith.

Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. Heb 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

So this proves that drawing back to law means drawing back unto PERDITION. We must continue on in FAITH if our soul is to be saved. We cannot return back to law. It is dogs returning to their vomit and hogs returning to their wallowing in the mire. What a SHAME, you have shamed Jesus with. You did not allow him to continue always in your womb.

Cursed be the day he was born. Let that outer man die. Let that inner man live. Stay in GRACE AND FAITH.
