Matt. 26: 45.  Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
 46.  Rise, let us be going: behold,
he is at hand that doth betray me.

Do you notice something astounding about this?  I just saw this in the Word.

Jesus comes to his sleeping disciples and says to them,  "Sleep on now, take your REST."

But then immediately he also says this:  "RISE"!  Let us be going".

Now isn't that amazing?  First He tells them to 'sleep on'.  but then he says, seemingly in the next breath,  RISE.

Is he speaking a secret message to someone, then another message to someone else?  I really think so.

I honestly believe he told those who would cling to  THEIR = YOUR    REST, to just go on  SLEEPING.

But to those willing to 'get up and change';  become awake;  get about our Father's business;  come into the N.T. which is about to begin,  to  RISE.  Get up and get going.  Don't stop until you are resurrected into New life.

Don't REST (or sleep) anymore!

Who betrayed him?

Was it those who 'slept' on and clung to their REST?

I think there is some great secret revelation hidden here?

I was asked to try to explain a little more about the Scripture message above.  So I will try to show what I saw in the Verses.

I was not implying that the disciples sleeping there in the garden as Jesus prayed were the ones who betrayed him.

But all Scripture is written for our learning.  Jesus did not just 'say' words which were for their moment and had no further value.  Those kinds of words were NOT recorded as scripture.  Therefore anything we read in the Word has value and meaning for us today.

That is how powerful the true Word of God is:  it was said then for their time, but it carries truth and teaching to us all the way down to the very end of time.  If another generation lives 1,000 years from now, they will read the same words and receive instructions and teaching for them at their time.  Very same words will carry meaning to them.

Now, I saw that Jesus was saying to those who will cling to their 'rest' of O.T. Sabbath rest  AFTER he brings in the N.T. true rest of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, are the true  BETRAYERS of Jesus;  for Heb. declares that they are trampling his blood under their feet and doing dispite to the Spirit of Grace, which He brought us, by hanging onto Law after he set us free from that law or bondage.

See that he told them,  SLEEP ON NOW  (the now implying the time then set for him to die and change the times from law to grace)-- and  TAKE   YOUR   REST.

See?  They who cling to their works rest of the 7th day sabbath and refuse the true rest to the soul given to us by Jesus which is the Baptism of the HG, with evidence of speaking in tongues, the stammering lips prophecied by Isa. 28-- then these people are betraying the Salvation bought by the blood of Jesus.

The N.T. Covenant was sanctified by the blood of Jesus.

The Law covenant was sanctified by the blood of animals.  Herein is the great horror and error of hanging onto the law covenant --- it denies the blood of Jesus by default.  It HAS TO.  That law covenant is only sanctified by animal blood --- you cannot make it be by the blood of Jesus for God said is it by the blood of animals.

So to cling to that bodily rest of the law since Jesus gave us rest to the soul, is to be under the blood of animals and trampling the blood of Jesus.

So He said to them Sleep on Now.  Then He said   Rise  and let   US  be going.

See the  RISE message is to those of us who moved on into the New Covenant of Grace under the shed blood of Jesus.

The   US  is those of us who moved with him into the new Covenant of Grace and left the O.T. waterpots behind.  Left Law behind.

I see this as a marvelous message.  Hope you can see into this.

The whole Word of God is given by  REVELATION.

When God reveals it to me,  it is just the most marvelous thing in the whole world.  and this revelation between law and grace just keeps on growing.
