~ They changed the Glory ~
Isa. 52:13---Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.
14---As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:...
Isa. 53---Tells us that Jesus, God’s servant, came here as a ‘sheep? as an offering for sin, that he was smitten and striken of God.
Romans 1:21-26---Because that when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
v22--Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the GLORY of the UNCORRUPTIBLE GOD into an IMAGE made like to CORRUPTIBLE MAN, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
v24---Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
v25---Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Phillippians 2: 5-9----Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
v6--Who, being in the FORM of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
v7---But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the FORM OF A SERVANT, and was made in the LIKENESS OF MEN:
V8---And being found in fashion as a MAN, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
v9---Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:....
Now, compare those Scriptures. See how in Phill. it says Jesus was, at one time in the FORM of God, but that he left that FORM and came here in the FORM OF A SERVANT; in the LIKENESS of MEN.
The beginning Scripture in Isa. called Jesus God’s Servant.
The mind he is telling us to let be in us is that mind of humbleness and obedience Jesus had in him when he was changed into the image of sinful man.
Now, go back to Romans 1---- v23--They changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man...
For this cause God gave them over to a reprobate mind.
John 12:23---And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
John 17:5---And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
So, here we see Jesus praying to receive back the glory he had with God in the beginning. So he left that glory behind, in heaven, when he came here in the form of a servant; in the likeness of corruptible man.
This shows God to be uncorruptible, meaning he can not die and decay.
Jesus, in his humanity was corruptible. He died. He would have decayed if God had not raised him from the dead. So don’t you see, that to call this human man, even tho he was born of a virgin by the power of God, to call him God is to change the glory of God into the corruptibility of man.
Because of this, God gave people over to a reprobate mind---Romans 1:28.
v25---they worshipped and served the ‘creature?more than the ‘creator?-- the MAN was the ‘creature?----God, a spirit, is the creator.
God is eternal: no woman birthed God. This is blasphemy to say such a thing. God is a spirit. God cannot die. Jesus, took upon him corruptibility, and died. It is blasphemy to say that God died at the hands of sinful man, and then went into hell.
No, it says the ‘servant?of God came here to be an offering for our sins. It is said to be God’s blood, in that Jesus belonged to God. It does not mean that God himself has blood. Jesus himself said a spirit hath NOT flesh and blood or bones. God was not the offering for our sins; he sent his Son to do that. That corruptible man was not God.
There are many more proofs of this in God?Word. But I will say only this much in this message. I pray the truth of this message will reach the hearts of someone.
