~~ Is Jesus Still Son of Man? ~~

Today is Wednesday, 11/03/04. The reason for this message is to prove that Jesus is still called Son of Man. After I wrote my other message on Son of Man, some have taken this and tried to say Jesus ceased to be Son of Man at his resurrection. They claim that he is now God and not son of man any longer. They claim that Jesus was only Son of God the few days he was here on earth after his resurrection and before his ascension to Heaven. I know of no Scripture which says any such thing. Where do they keep getting these false teachings?

This just goes to show how carnal men will make up stuff to keep teaching their false doctrine and refuse to let God reveal truth to them. I assume these men never take the time to really study the Word and find out if their thoughts are truth or not. The Word is too clear on this subject for anyone to come up with such false doctrine.

Mt 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Now the above verse is speaking of at the end of the world. This is very clear. Notice it called Jesus the Son of man here. He shall send his angels at the end of the world. Why did not this verse say God will send forth his angels?

Mt 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

The Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels. This is also speaking of at the end of the world. It is still calling Jesus the Son of man and making a very clear and distinct DIFFERENCE in this Son of Man and His Father. It says here he is coming in the glory of his Father. See his Father gave Jesus, the Son of Man, the very same power and authority God himself has, but only after his resurrection. Jesus did not come here as a baby in the glory of his Father. He came here in the likeness of sinful man. Verse 28 says the Son of man will come [future] in his kingdom. It did not say God will come.

Mt 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Again Matthew says that the Son of man will [future] sit on the throne of his glory. Now I ask you, did Jesus sit on this throne of glory BEFORE his resurrection? If you know of this, please show me that Scripture. I just cannot find it.

Now one more verse proving that Jesus has a separate throne from His Father’s throne:

Re 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Mt 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Now you must admit that saying Jesus ceased to be Son of Man at his resurrection is false, or you surely must call Matthew a lie and terribly mixed up.

He again speaks of the coming of the Son of man at the END of this world. Verses 29 and 30 make it clear that this Son of man is in heaven and that he will appear here after the tribulation. It again states that the Son of man will come in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Now I personally have never read that any of this happened to Jesus before his ascension to Heaven.

Mt 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Here Mat. states twice that it will be the coming of the Son of man, not the coming of God.

Mt 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Here he says the same thing again. That is much more than the needed two or three witnesses that Jesus, as Son of Man will return in the clouds of Heaven with power and great glory at the end of this world.

Mt 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Can this be speaking of the birth of the baby Jesus? I say no. It is still future, it has not happened yet. He is still Son of Man, for he was and always will be HUMAN, born of woman. He is a glorified human being, given all the same power and glory and authority of God himself, so that now he is our God and our Father. He is now the same with God, he is the Almighty, for God, His Father set him there on God’s throne.

But Jesus himself will also have a throne. He will sit on his own throne on this earth. [Mat. 19:28; above here].

Mt 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

Now there is solid proof that the Son of man will sit on his own throne AFTER he returns to this earth! ...when the Son of man shall come in his glory, THEN -- then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory. That is when he judges and separates the sheep from the goats. Do you think he has already done this? Of course not. Then he is not yet sitting on his own throne either. He is now sitting on his Father’s throne in Heaven. Jesus, the Son of man, will have his own throne here on this earth. If you think not, then you must call the above Scripture an outright lie. (Maybe Matthew was not a true writer of the Word?)

Mt 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them

Mt 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Now see that both these verses call Jesus King after he returns to earth and sits upon his own throne!

Mt 26:64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

OK, now. Let’s see if Mark agrees with Matthew.

Mr 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Yes! There Mark is saying the very same thing: Jesus will come as Son of man when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. Seems even the angels agree with this. They will be coming with this Son of man.

Mr 9:9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

Here Mark says that it will be the Son of man who rises from the dead. So after his resurrection, Jesus was still Son of man.

Mr 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 13:34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

Now verse 32 proves that the Son is different from the Father. Mark, are you sure? Yes. He said there is something (the time of Jesus?return to earth) which not even the Son knows, but his Father only. How do you separate this and make sense of it? Then he said it was the Son of man who left here and gave his servants a charge to work and watch.

Mr 14:61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? 14:62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Notice, the priest asked Jesus if he were the Son of the Blessed. Notice, he did not ask are you God. No one ever thought Jesus was God. Jesus said, I am. See? He said I am the SON OF THE BLESSED. Then he said ye shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. The Son of man doing all of this. So this proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jesus did not cease being Son of Man at his resurrection and ascension to heaven. He will still be Son of Man when he returns to earth again. He will still be human.

Lu 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

Now here is another writer of the NT declaring that the Son of man will come in his own glory AND his Father’s glory, and of the holy angels. Who will deny this? Surely not I.

Lu 12:8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

Lu 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

Now can the above verse pertain to the first coming of Jesus? NO!

Lu 17:24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. 17:25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

This Scripture makes it clear that Jesus first suffered before it spoke of the days of the Son of man.

Lu 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Lu 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

The above verse could only be speaking of the second coming of the Lord, not his first coming. He is still called Son of man at that time.

Lu 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Lu 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Lu 22:69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.

22:70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am. 22:71 And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.

These people asked Jesus ‘are you the Son of God? They never asked are you God. Wonder why?

John 1:51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

Now John is saying the very same thing the other three writers said.

John 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

Here it is saying the Father gave the Son authority because he is the Son of man.

Joh 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

Here it says that the Father GAVE the Son to have life in himself. This makes it clear that the Father is different from the Son.

Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. 5:31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. 5:32 There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true. 5:33 Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth. 5:34 But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved.

Now either you must call Jesus a lie or admit that he is not God. Here Jesus himself said, I can of mine own self do nothing!

As I HEAR, I judge. I seek not mine own will. I seek the will of the Father which SENT ME.

IF I bear witness of myself, my witness is NOT TRUE.

There is ANOTHER that bears witness of me. I receive not testimony from man.

Joh 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

Here Jesus showed he was speaking of his Father who bore witness of Jesus. Notice he said Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

I heard a preacher just today on tape say that when we see God he will look like a man, for man is in the image of God. But Jesus said no one has ever seen the shape of the Father, nor ever heard his voice at any time.

So then as they heard and looked at Jesus, this proves Jesus was not the Father. For they have never seen the shape of the Father or heard the Father’s voice. Now whom do you believe.. these deceived preachers or Jesus and John?

Joh 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

God the Father sealed the Son of man. Did he seal himself? How foolish this doctrine is.

 Part 2:

Joh 6:48 I am that bread of life. 6:49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 6:50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. 6:52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

The above Scripture is too important to truth to leave any of it out. Notice Jesus said I am the bread of life. Now the Jesus-only people claim that Jesus himself is the Word of God. But this is just not true, for Jesus is a human man. He had the Word of God inside himself. This is the Word inside Jesus speaking. And this scripture proves it.

Now those of you who claim this bread is the actual human body of Jesus please explain this: ..that a man may EAT thereof, and not die.

Is his human body the FLESH which the Word was made? If so, please explain how you are going to EAT THIS HUMAN BODY!

You will probably say, well it means to eat or understand the WORD. Yes. That is exactly what it means, PROVING that the Word is this human flesh, not Mary’s son, Jesus.

This also proves it is the Word speaking here, and not the man Jesus.

Joh 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Is this Jesus saying I am the living bread or is it the Word of God inside Jesus? If you say it is Jesus, then answer how we must EAT of this bread. The Word of God is saying it is MY flesh, this spiritual message, which is given for the life of the world. .....if any man eat of THIS bread he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give in my flesh.

Now is that the man Jesus? Of course not. It is the Word of God. We cannot eat the body of Jesus. We eat the Word, the tree of life. It gives us life.

Joh 6:52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

See, the Jews thought Jesus was speaking of his human body. They knew they could not eat this. You people still today think Jesus meant his human body. If so, how are you going to eat it?

Joh 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 6:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 6:57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

Now see here that Jesus is calling the Word of God his FLESH. He said we must eat his flesh and DRINK HIS BLOOD. How are you going to drink the human blood of Jesus? Have any of you ever had a swallow of his blood? See how foolish this becomes when you think of it as the human body and blood of Jesus? He said my flesh is meat and my blood is drink..... but did he mean food for our belly? Then did he mean his own belly or body?

You must learn to rightly divide the Word of God. Look.

Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Now don’t you see here that Jesus switched to his human flesh and said the flesh profiteth NOTHING? Now he had just told them that if they will eat his flesh he will raise them up to eternal life. So if this be true, how then could he turn right around and say this flesh profits nothing? Giving us eternal life is NOTHING? I think you all need to pray and seek God and get willing to study and accept the real truth of the Word.

He said the WORDS THAT I SPEAK unto you are spirit and life. So this positively PROVES that it is the Word saying I am the bread which gives you life. The Words are spirit. The Word is life. Jesus was not a spirit. He told his disciples in

Lu 24:37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. 24:38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

See they were afraid because they thought Jesus was a spirit. But he told them a spirit has NOT flesh and bones as you see me have. See, after the resurrection, Jesus was not a spirit. He said the Words I speak are spirit. The Word is the bread. It is the Word we must eat, not the body of Jesus. So it is the Word, spiritual flesh, which the Word was made. It was made into a spiritual message we can all read, study, and learn; EAT.

Joh 6:67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 6:68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 6:69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

Now here we have another testimony from Peter that his revelation is that Jesus is the Son of the living God. He never at any time confessed that Jesus is God. So why is it that almost everyone today claims that Jesus is God? They got this lie from the whore church.

Joh 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

Now these people use this verse to try and say that Jesus is saying believe that I AM God. They say he meant he is the Jehovah of the OT which said to Moses I Am that I Am. And every time they read the words, I Am, they use this to say Jesus is Jehovah. But lets?just see how Jesus explained this:

Joh 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

Now that is very clear. Jesus said when ye have lifted up the SON OF MAN, THEN SHALL YE KNOW THAT I AM HE.

Who? The Son of Man. So see, unless you believe that Jesus is the Son of Man, you shall die in your sins. Where did Jesus say unless you believe that I am God you shall die in your sins? Anyone know where that verse is? I truly would like to read that if it is in the Word. You who teach this, please tell me where that verse is.

Joh 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him

Now here Jesus said the Father has not left me ALONE. I do the things that please HIM, not myself.

Joh 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Now here Jesus told them if they wish to be his disciples they must stay in the WORD, not his own human body. People, WAKE UP. Get to truth before it is too late. The truth is what sets you free. The truth is the Word. It was the Word speaking in Jesus.

Joh 12:23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

Here is proven that it was the Son of man which was glorified.

Joh 13:31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.

That is the second witness that the Son of man was glorified. So after His resurrection he was still Son of man.

Ac 7:56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

Here Stephen said he saw heaven opened and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God, up there in heaven, after his ascension. So Jesus is still the Son of man up in heaven right now.

1Tim 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

This is certainly speaking of now. The MAN Christ Jesus is the mediator BETWEEN God and men. The MAN Jesus. It did not say the God Christ Jesus. To mediate between two things proves Jesus is separate from God, for he goes between God and us.

Re 1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

Now this is saying that the Son of man is in the midst of all seven churches. That has to be after his crucifixion.

Re 14:14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

Now that is very conclusive. It is saying that the one who returns to earth on the white cloud is THE SON OF MAN. This Son of man is the one who reaps this earth. It is Jesus. He is still, at the end of the world, the Son of man.

‘Name?means the authority one does a thing by. Isa. 9:6 declared that this man would be our God and our Father. His name, or authority is called the Word of God. His name is his power. So when and how did Jesus, the Son of man, become our God and our Father? How is he called the Almighty?

Heb 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, [God spoke in the OT times with the prophets.]

Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; [In the last days God spoke to us by his Son. God appointed His Son heir of all things. God used his Son to make the worlds. This is speaking of since Calvary, Jesus brought in the New heaven and earth.]

Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; [Jesus upholds all things by the WORD of his power. The Word is his power. The Word is his authority. This is why his name is called the Word of God. It is not saying that Jesus is the Word of God. How can you deny this many Scriptures to hold to a false doctrine?]

Heb 1:4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. [See that Jesus INHERITED this name, so how could he be God? God did not have to inherit anything.]

Heb 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

Heb 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.[Romans 1 shows that Jesus was begotten at the time of his resurrection. Other Scriptures also prove this. This is when God set his Son up above the angels. Don’t you know that it says he was made lower than the angels for the suffering of death? So this is when Jesus was made above the angels and set up to be worshipped, thus making him equal with God. This is how and why he is also called the Almighty. Unless God made him almighty, then he would not have fulfilled this Word. This is what it means, ALL POWER in heaven and earth IS GIVEN TO ME. Now if this is God speaking, tell me, why did this power have to be given to him? Who could have given it to him?]

Heb 1:7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. Heb 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. [This verse is where, when and how Jesus was made to be our God, thus fulfilling Isa. 9:6]

Heb 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. Heb 1:10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: [Now how can you miss this? God said to Jesus, God, your God has anointed you above thy fellows = human beings.

How are you going to explain who is speaking here and who is being spoken to? Therefore God, even thy [means your] God, has anointed you.

Isa 61:1 The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

Who said this? The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, for the LORD hath anointed me? You know that Jesus spoke this. He is the only one who could claim this. Therefore it was His God and His Father who is speaking to him in Heb. 1:9. God is calling himself God to Jesus. God is Jesus?God. He also called Jesus God, showing that now God has anointed Jesus to be our God. That is why Thomas said, My Lord and My God. But he did not say you are God. He only called Jesus MY GOD.

Lu 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 4:20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 4:21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Now there is your solid proof that Jesus was speaking of the Spirit of the Lord being upon him, for he said This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. He showed them that the prophecy was about him.

So God placed his spirit upon Jesus and God anointed Jesus just as he said in Heb. one.

Only someone willfully blind, refusing to let God’s Word speak to you, could continue to deny this many clear Scriptures that Jesus was the Son of God, and not God himself. No one in their right mind, reading all these Scriptures could say that Jesus is God and there is no other being as God.

1Jo 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

This is that spirit of antichrist. This is dangerous this doctrine is. Denying the Father and the Son is antichrist. If you say there is only the Son or only the Father, you are denying them both. Both means two.
