Isaiah:42:001

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

*******************************************************

042:002 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
042:003

A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

*******************************************************

042:004

He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

**********************************************************

042:005

Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

**********************************************************

042:006

I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

************************************************************

042:007

To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

***********************************************************

042:008

I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

***********************************************************

042:009

Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

***********************************************************

042:010

Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.

***********************************************************

042:011

Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.

***********************************************************

042:012 Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.
042:013

The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.

***********************************************************

042:014 I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.
042:015

I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.

************************************************************

042:016

And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

***********************************************************

042:017 They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.
042:018

Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.

***********************************************************

042:019 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD's servant?
042:020

Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.

************************************************************

042:021

The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

I have a question for you:  I would like for all of you who read this to study this message and try to discover the answer:

In verse 19---who is it speaking of?   Who is the blind and deaf servant of God?

How is He blind and deaf?  Please show the Scriptual answer.

I have something to tell you about this;  which I will do later; when I show the answer.

Happy hunting, everyone!!

 I think this chapter 42 in Isaiah would be a very good one for us to study verse by verse.  Would any of you like to do this?

There are some wonderful, deep secrets in this chapter.  Some of these verses are used by the Jesus only people to say Jesus is God and the only one.  But they are misunderstanding the true meaning.

One of these is verse 8-- here it says   I am the LORD; that is my name:  and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

They think this is Jesus saying he is God and He will not give his glory to anyone other than himself.

But this is not Jesus speaking.  That is why one must rightly divide the Scripture.  When LORD is spelled this way:  with all caps -- it is speaking of the Father.   When it is spelled like this --Lord, it is speaking of the Son.

This is God the Father saying to Jesus that He will never give His glory or praise to anyone other than Jesus.  The truth is so much more beautiful than the error.

Jesus is the only one God ever gave all power and authority in Heaven and Earth to.  Jesus is the only one God gave His own glory to -- placing him at his own right hand and gave him to be our God.

Jesus prayed just before his death    Father, glorify me with the glory I had with you before the world was.  God answered this prayer when Jesus ascended to Heaven and sat down at the right hand of God;  having been made to be God by God the Father.  [Heb. 1].

 I am only picking out some verses at random right now;  and showing  some of the wonderful truths in this chapter.  If any of you desire to, please pick some of these verses and expound on them.  Let's see what we can bring out.

For this message, I will use verse 16 & 17---

16~~~ I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not;  I will lead them in paths that they have not known:  I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight.  These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

v17~~~ They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly aashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.

Here, Jesus is saying that He will lead those who were formally blind, = the Gentiles~~~~~~ by a way we had not known before.  He led us into His Word and Salvation.  He led us into Grace ~~ a way not known before.

The old testament law had been a crooked way;  the old sinful life had been a crooked way;  the old way had been darkness.  But Jesus led us out of the crooked way of darkness into His glorious LIGHT.

He said, I will never leave you nor farsake you.

That is His promise to us in verse 16.

Now, look at verse 17~~~~~~~~~ they shall be turned back,       WHO?    Those who trust in graven images~ what are the graven images?    They have many~~~~   their church buildings:   their santa clause;  their bunnies;  their burning candles;  their crosses;  etc. etc.  They have too many to count.  This also says they will be greatly ashamed~~~~~  yes, their shame shall cover them;  because that when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God;  but turned to images.

When by their actions they say to these idols, ye are our gods,  they will be the ones Jesus turns  back to the crooked ways of darkness.   They are there now.

 For this message I will use verse 18----

Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.

Beautiful, isn't it?

Now who is saying this?  The Word is saying to us~~~~

to who?  To those who were blind before;  blind to the truth of God;  blind to the Word;  those of us who were in darkness before*****

to us who were before     DEAF   to the Word of God;  deaf to truth;  walking on in darkness;  but upon us,   GREAT LIGHT  HATH SHINED******

Jesus brought us out of that blindness, that deafness, that darkness   into His truth;  into His marvelous light.

But......... what happened to those others?   They turned back;  took back up those images;  those idols;  and so they became the Laodecians = the ones who are NOW  blind,  naked, deaf,  ashamed;;;;  but their real shame is yet to be manifest..............

 Don't blame me;  Rachel is picking!

  Verse one: ~~~Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mind elect, in whom my soul delighteth;  I have put my spirit upon him:  he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

Isaiah 61:1~~~The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound....

Now, do you see from this verse that God is saying of Jesus, "my servant~~~~I have put my spirit upon him?????

~~~~ For this message I will use verses  4, 5, &  6~~~~
v4~~~~ He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth:  and the isles shall wait for his law.
This is saying that Jesus, the one sent by God and anointed by God, will not fail ~~~~~ he will not be discouraged
until he sets judgment in this earth.  He will yet bring righteous judgment into the whole earth.  I am so thankful to know this.
Verse 5 is speaking of God the Father who created the heavens, and spread forth the earth, that he gives breath unto the people upon it and spirit to all who walk here.
Verse 6--I the LORD [the Father]~ ~ have called   THEE~~~~  who?  Who is He talking about that He called?
Jesus, of course.~~~~~~~~~ I have called thee in righteousness;    God will hold Jesus' hand;  God will keep Jesus, and give Jesus for a covenant of the people,  for a light of the Gentiles:........
Now, if you doubt that this is speaking of the Father calling Jesus;  and God holding Jesus' hand;  then you must find out who it is saying will be a COVENANT of the poeple:   WHO  is it saying  is a  LIGHT  of the  GENTILES???????
If you disagree ~~~  then tell us who is the LIGHT OF THE WORLD   except Jesus????   I know of no other.
God sent Jesus to be the Saviour of the World.  Jesus came here as God's servant.
Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD's servant?
What I am seeing is that the servant is natural Israel or the law- Isaiah--41:8-- ?U>But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
?U>Or deaf, as my messenger that I sent??( I see this as speaking of the prophets and priests that were the messengers of the law. Malachi 2:7-- “For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.?( see what was coming from his mouth, the law.
Isa 42:22-- “But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith Restore?( I hope you can see where these prison houses are, they are the churches of today that are still under the law. This could get into very long study on this question that was asked. I did not realize at the time that I started to answer the question that Sister Jo asked, that this was so deep. Therefore I cannot get in a lots of comments that I would like to. That are really some real deep things on this subject. Since this is so deep I will only post some scriptures, because of the time that I had spent with my wife.)
042:023-- ?Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come??/FONT>
042:024-- ?Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.?
Matthew 13:13:13--“Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.?/FONT>
013:014-- “And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:?/FONT>
013:015-- “For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.?/FONT>
John9:039-- “And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.?/FONT>
009:040-- “And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also??(see he was talking to those Pharisees that were still under the law.)
09:041-- ?Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
Isaiah 59:10-- “We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men?
Matthew15:14--“Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch?/FONT>
2 Corinthians--3:14--“Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch?/FONT>
Eph--4:18--“Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:?/FONT>
2 Cor-- 4:4-- “Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
Isa6:010-- ?Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed?
Mk 4:12--“That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them?/FONT>
John 12:40-- “He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them?/FONT>
Rom 11:25-- “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.?
Dear Brother Isaiah,
Thank you for your answer.  You have brought out some wonderful truth and Scriptures.
But, the answer is not the right one.  I will come back in just a little while and give the Scriptual Answer;  after I fix Rachel and myself some breakfast.
What you say is true;  but that is another answer which I had in mind.  I will show it in a  little while
The answer to the question, “who is this blind, deaf servant of God is found in Psalm 38. Read the whole chapter.
I will not go into the first part of the chapter now: but if any of you desire to hear the first part explained, later, I will come back to this.
Verse 10:~~~~ My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
Verse 11~~~~My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.~~~{Mark 14:50~ And they all forsook him, and fled.}
Verse 12~~~ They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
Verse 13~~~ But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
Verse 14~~~ Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
Verse 15~~~ For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.
Verse 16~~~ For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
Verse 17~~~ For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.
***************************
Isa. 53:7~~~ He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaghter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
***************************
Mark 15:3-5~~~ And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.
v-4~~~ And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.
v 5~~~But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.
*************************
John 19:8~~~ When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid;
v 9~~~ And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence are thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.
v 10~~~ Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify the, and have power to release thee?
v 11~~`Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I will do another post and prove by the Word that this could not be natural Israel, or natural Jacob this speaks of .

In this message on Isaiah 42, I will show that the blind and deaf servant of God could be no one except Jesus Christ.

Now, before I go into this, I would like to say here that for those who claim Jesus came to earth as God, please show us how that fits this chapter of prophecy of Jesus? How then was He God’s Servant?

Read verse one~~~ God is saying to behold His Servant-- that his soul delights in this Servant --- there are many Scriptures which show God was never pleased with Natural Israel.

God had put His spirit on him: he brought judgment to the Gentiles. So how did natural Israel bring judgment to the Gentiles? I don’t think so.

v 3---He brought judgment unto truth-- is this the work of Israel? No.

v 4---He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he set judgment in the earth: --Israel???? No.

v 6--God gave this blind servant for a covenant of the people and for a light of the Gentiles;

v 7-- To open the blind eyes, {who did this?} {none but Jesus}-- to bring out the prisoners from the prison = grave; Who did this? Only Jesus.

v 15--I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.

Now did Israel do all this? Nope. Only Jesus did, or could have.

v16--- And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths not known before; I will make darkness light before them and crooked things straight.

Once again, who could have done all this other than the Lord Jesus? No one !!!! v 19--..who is blind as he that is perfect~~~ now does this not prove it? Yes!! Who was perfect ~~ Israel or Jesus? You know which one.

Case proven.** JO

 For my last post on this particular

aspect of this message:  I told you in the beginning I had something to tell you about this thing of the blind servant:  well, it is this:

As I began to really start to receive the revelation of the word, many years ago,  I found this Scripture.  I knew this  HAD  to be Jesus,  and no one else.  So, I did as I always do when I want to learn something;  I began to pray for the answer to this.  I knew in my heart this had to be Jesus; but I could not see any way Jesus could be blind and deaf.

***********

Almost always when I pray and search for an answer to something out of the word, God gives me the answer immediately;  or not very long after I ask.

But in this case, He did not answer;  and He did not answer;  and He did not answer.   I sought for this answer for several YEARS.

*******************

Now, you cannot appreciate the answer as I did;  for it was given to you soon.  But for me, who had waited for years, when the answer came, I was overjoyed to say the lease.

The way it happened is out of the ordinary.

At the time,  I had a weekend job, helping a woman with her invalid husband.  They watched T.V.  I did not;  so she let me use her Bible to read as they watched T.V.

******************

On a Saturday night, I was reading in Psalm 38;  not looking for anything;  just reading where the Book had opened.  I do this most of the time; unless I am studying something in particular.

Well, as you can see,  the ANSWER  was there!!!!  Unexpectedly, God had answered my prayer;  which I had about forgotten.

Well, I just began to worship and praise the Lord right there in front of those unbelievers --- well off people.

The lady asked me,  well what is the matter?

**********************

So I told her how I had been seeking this answer for years;  and had just now been given this.  I told her all about it;  and she said,  ''well, that is nice".

Imagine that ?  Having no more Spiritual discernment and desire than that?

Well, as Jesus said,  this is the  CHILDREN'S  MEAT.  ONLY THEY CAN EAT IT.

Praise God!  I have enjoyed doing this message;  hope more of you will at least read it.

God bless you all.

Jo

Psalms: 39:001 I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.
039:002 I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred.
039:003 My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue,
039:004 LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am.
039:005 Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.
039:006 Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.
039:007 And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.
039:008 Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish.
039:009 I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it.
039:010 Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.
039:011 When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah.
039:012 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.
039:013 O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.

 I posted this chapter for it has several verses which go along with the above message.

Look at verse 9~~~I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it.

This chapter is one of Jesus' prayers to God in the Garden of Gethsemane.  There are many of His prayers recorded in this Book of Psalms;  and most people are unaware of this.

Also read verse 2~~ I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good;  and my sorrow was stirred.

See, these two verses again comfirms that this is Jesus who is blind, deaf, and dumb.  Now, isn't is astonishing to find out that Jesus was blind, deaf, and dumb???

He held his peace because He already had the answer from God that it was time for Him to die.  He did not even try to get out of it.  He was through with his praying for deliverance.  He now accepted it that this is the will of God~~~ not my will, but thine be done~~he had said.

another thing I had known in my spirit for a long time; but did not know a Scripture to prove this,  is found in verse 11-

I had known in my spirit that when you see someone turn ugly and decrept looking for no seeming cause, that it was because of much sin in their life;  and God was doing this as a result.  I had even told this to some people; yet did not know of proof.

Then that night at the ladies house, as I read in Psalms, I found this verse and saw the proof.  Just read verse 11 and you will see this.

 I want to bring in the part of Psalms 40~~~~  for in this is the resurrection of Jesus. I think it is only fitting to finish this message with His deliverance and victory,  don't you?

Verse one~~~  I waited patiently for the LORD;  and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

v 2~~ He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, and of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

v 3~~And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God:  many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Now, at first one may think this is in no way showing the resurrection;  but let's just examine it and see.

Verse one~~  shows Jesus as he is the three days and night in the heart of the earth = hell.  He is praying to God the whole time he is in Hell.  There are those prayers recorded in another Psalm.  I will try to find it and show you someday.  The reason people miss the truth and the beauty of Psalms is because they think it is about King David.  But, no!!!  It is all about Jesus.  You can learn many things about Jesus in the Psalms and the prophets than is not revealed in the New Testament.

*************************************************************

God heard those prayers he prayed while in hell.   This is said in verse one.

Verse two--- This shows the resurrection = when Jesus was brought up out of hell;  and up out of the human flesh = [the miry clay].  When His feet were set upon a rock = when God set Him at His own right hand.  He established Jesus' goings by giving Him rulership over the whole creation.

*************************************************************

Verse 3~~~~~~~ God put a new song in the mouth of Jesus.  This signifies His Heavenly ruling instead of His earthly ministry.  A new song in Scripture represents a new move of God.   Jesus now has a new message.  He is now a member of the God Kingdom = ONE  WITH  GOD.

If you believe Jesus was God while in the human flesh,  you will never see these glorious truths and mysteries and find these glorious secrets in the Word.  These are greater treasures than all the gold, silver or anything else in this world.

Thank you Isaiah, for finding and sending this wonderful message back to the front page so our members may have access to this marvelous revelation.  I could not find it, for I only 'fish' in the General Sea.  I never think of 'fishing' on any of the other 'seas' we have.  So you found it in the 'question' sea.

I hope all of you will take the time to study this message from Isa. 42.  It will help you see the truth that Jesus was a human man on this earth  = God's  SERVANT.

can you see God as a blind, deaf, and dumb servant?  I sure cannot .  And if he were a servant, whose servant was he?  God is the highest being in existance; so how would he be anyone's servant?

It also explains some of the Scriptures others were thinking proved Jesus was saying he was the only God and would not give his glory to anyone else.  Nope.  That was God speaking to Jesus.
