Jesus said,  Take heed HOW you hear.  Now hearing is the same as reading.  He is saying be careful how you interpret the Word.  You can either 'hear' it from the law = letter; death; --
or you can hear it from the spirit = grace= life, spiritual.

It is not the written 'words' themselves which are the letter.  It is how they are taken or understood.  If they are taken as law, carnal, then it is the letter and brings only death.
This natural body of flesh which we are in, was placed upon mankind AFTER they sinned by becoming carnal; fleshly; taking up law instead of grace.

Before that, they were the glorious, immortal cherubs in Ez. 28, in the Garden of Eden.

But after they 'ate' of the 'tree of the knowledge of good and evil = law' then God placed them into darkness, coats of human skin and made them naked.

Now this body is the same as that law, or death.  As long as one abides in the 'flesh' serving the carnal desires and trying to serve God by Law, then they are DEAD IN TRESPASSES AND SINS.

So this body is the body of sin and death. (Romans 7)

Oh wretched man that I (man under law) am.  Who shall deliver me from this BODY OF DEATH AND SIN?

Jesus is the only one who can.  Romans 8-there is therefore NOW no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the FLESH but after the Spirit.

See, even right now,  IF we are in Christ Jesus (watch out you yahweh folks)---we are not under condemnation or the body of sin.

We were delivered from that BODY of death and sin, only by walking in the Spirit.  We are actually still living in that same old dead body.  That is why we must keep it 'killed' or crucifing it daily and living after the Spirit.

Jesus said we are dead in trespasses and sins,  BEFORE He comes into our lives.  But then He gives us new life, from the Spirit, the Holy Ghost.

Anyone who does not have the baptism of the Holy Ghost is STILL in that same old dead condition.

Only IN Jesus are we free from that body of death.

When Jesus sets us completely free at the resurrection, then we will again be given a body of life, the glorified body.  That is when we will be completely delivered from this body of death.

Jesus also had that body of death; But He kept it under subjection and never sinned.  So at His resurrection, He was delivered from the old body and given a new body.

Now that body is spirit.  It is life.  It is light.  We have that light still in an earthern vessel.  But if we walk in the flesh, the letter ( carnal, natural)----- we are still dead.  If we 'hear' spiritual, if we interpret the Word Spiritual, then we are alive.  We are in the spirit of life; not the letter of death.

Joie this is so true, it is all in the hearing, as it was in the 2 chapter of Acts.

Acts 2
2:6
Now when this was  noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
2:7
And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
2:8
And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
2:9
Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
2:10
Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
2:11
Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
2:12
And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
2:13
Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

See these men were Galilaeans and they were speaking in the Galilaean tongue but these men were hearing this in their own tongue wherein they were born. So it is as the word, some hear when they read the word and some do not.In other words some hear what the Spirit is saying through the word. They receive it spiritually and some receive it carnal just as some of these men did. Because some said what must we do? These were the ones that received it spititualy.

The ones that received it carnally were the ones that was mocking and saying, these men are full of new wine.So again when you read the word you can be as the men that mock and receive it carnal, or you can be as the men who said what must we do, and receive it spiritually. But even thou you are reading the word it is still in the hearing and hearing what the spirit has to say. The word and the spirit always agrees. So if you are hearing something and it is not in the word you are hearing it in the carnal.

It is just as Jesus said-- Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. ( see they did not understand what Jesus was saying because they were looking on the carnal side and not the things of the spirit. You can even receive it in parables or receive it spiritually and let Jesus tell you spiritually. It is still all in the hearing. The understanding is all in the hearing.

It is as Jeses said when he called the mulitude together - And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: Once again see the understanding is in the hearing.

Jesus also said - And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred. ( see hear the word here we hear this word as we read his word. We hear it spiritually while some hear it carnally. The ones that hear and understand are the ones that bring forth good fruit some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred. The ones that hear it carnally are just like the ones that heard the word and it fell on the stoney ground and they had no root in themselves. No root, no understanding. They did not hear the word spiritually as the ones that heard the word and brought forth good fruit.

We cannot hear his speech unless we hear the word spiritually. A carnal mind cannot and will not understand the things of God and his word. WE must hear it spiritually. If you are trying to enter in a with a carnal understanding the door never will be opened unto you. He said my sheep hear my voice. Are you hearing the voice which is his word?

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. ( Do you not see how the reading of his word and the hearing of the words go together here? Let him open  your understanding.

Wonderful message, Isaiah.  I was just thinking the same thing, that it is all in the kind of 'ground' the seed (word) falls into.  Jesus said those who receive it and UNDERSTAND it are those in whom the seed fell into a good and honest heart and received the Word with joy and held it and let it work in their lives to bring forth fruit unto perfection.

Those today who are actively working to destroy other people's faith in Jesus and His precious Word, are sent out by Satan and are leaders in Satan's army.  They are enemies of the cross, Jesus, the Word of God and every good work and way.

They will have their portion in the Lake of Fire which will never end.  They are headed for a very sad awakening when they hear Jesus say unto them, depart from me into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

They are part of that kingdom of the devil.

Keep up the good work of preaching the truth and our precious KJV Word of God.  He inspired every word of it.
There will never be any peace in your life until you obey the true way of salvation.

Another good message which needs to be studied further.  Most of you need to get the true understanding of this.
