On Wednesday, I went to Gainesville, to get my brother’s [Billy] granddaughter. On the way there my car started to skip. Well we made it there, but on the way back it was skipping so bad that I was only able to drive about 20 miles a hr. Also was not able to go very far without pulling on the side of the road. This went on for about 30 or 35 miles. I also prayed for the car but did not seem to help any.
I forgot to mention that Billy was with me, and also my nephew which is in the seventh grade and also Billy’s granddaughter; I had called my daughter Sherry to head my way and that I wanted them to go back home with her. In the mean time I also called another nephew and had told him I was having car trouble and that I was going to need him to get a trailer and come get my car because I did not think I was going to make it home. He told me to call him if I did not make it.
Well about 20 miles from the house, the car quit running and I pulled on the side of the road. Sherry had already got Billy and his granddaughter in the car with her, but J.R. my nephew wanted to stay in the car with me. I tried to crank the car but it would not crank, so I let it set for a little while before trying agin to crank it. When I tried it again, it cranked right up and I took off the car was really running good as ig nothing was wrong with it. I got up to 60 miles a hr. and Sherry was behind me and could not keep up with me and she called me on the phone and said, daddy what did you do? She said I can not keep up with you, I told her I did nothing different than what I had did before it quit running.
That is when my nephew spoke up and said Uncle Larry, I prayed for it. Then the verse came to me about being as a little child. The Lord answered this young man’s prayer, that I know for certain. Guess what? The car is still running good. I also got to witness to this young man about his prayer and some other stuff.
Praise the Lord for answering J.R.’S prayer
