~~ Psalms ~~

Marvelous mysteries are hidden in the great book of Psalms. Of course this is true of all Scripture. The reason most people never understand the real truth of Scripture is they do not know that the Word of God is about Jesus Christ. It is also about Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel. Then of course, it is about all sinners and all saints of God. We are ALL included in the Word of God.

The trouble with most people’s understanding is they think a Scripture has only one meaning or application. This is simply not true. The Word of God is powerful, alive today, and ever living, meaning that it is true for any and all ages of life. The very same Scripture will apply to the past, the present and the future. It will apply to Jesus, Eve and his Saints or it will apply to Adam, Satan, and all sinners. Judas Iscariot is told about in many scriptures, which most people may not realize is about him. These same verses also apply to Cain. They are of the same character and hold the same place in the spiritual things, therefore a Scripture can be telling of both men. This is also true of Jesus. He is shown and revealed by the character and events in the lives of many people in Scripture. Therefore the same Scripture will be revealing the truth and mysteries about Jesus, which seem to be about some earthly man.

Most people miss the real truth of Scripture by misplacing who is being spoken of and who is speaking to whom. The marvelous book of Psalms is such a book. It is our largest book and has hidden within it many mysteries about Jesus and these others. Many people make the mistake of thinking that Psalms is David’s words and is about David primarily. This is simply not true. This Book is the words of Jesus Christ primarily and is mostly about Jesus. But now the secrets about Eve and Adam, Cain, Abel and Judas are also revealed in this Book. These secrets are hidden in the book as pieces of gold are hidden among these words. They are treasures of understanding which will enlighten the eyes of God’s children.

Therefore I am going to do a series of messages showing many of these hidden mysteries, as God allows me to see and do.

I will start with Psalms 22, as this chapter is so easy to see that it is about Jesus Christ. I want to show you that Psalms is about Jesus and his words, so you can see it in the other chapters. This chapter is easy to prove this as a start of our journey into this treasure house of God.

Ps 22:1 To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

Ps 22:2 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. Ps 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

Ps 22:4 Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. Ps 22:5 They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

Ps 22:6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

Ps 22:7 All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

Ps 22:8 He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

Ps 22:9 But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts. Ps 22:10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.

Ps 22:11 Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. Ps 22:12 Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. Ps 22:13 They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

Verse one. These are the words of Jesus Christ as he hung upon the cross. These words are recorded in the NT as proof that this is prophecy about the death of Jesus Christ. Notice that Jesus is speaking in the first person tense here. This proves that it is actually the words of Jesus and not the words of David. It shows the despair of Jesus as hung on that cross, totally forsaken by his God. He asks God, Why are you so far from helping me? This should rend the heart of all true children of God. In the OT prophecies, we have many prayers and words of Jesus which are not given to us in the NT Scriptures. The only way you will even gleam this knowledge and treasure is to study the Scripture and pray for true understanding. It takes a lot of studying and concentration to begin to receive the true revelation of the Word of God.

There are many ‘keys?which help us to understand. Knowing that this is Jesus speaking and that this is about Jesus, as is most other prophecies, is one of the great keys to understanding. Verses 2-8 are words which Jesus said to God as he hung on that cross. We are not given these words in the NT, but here we get insight into Jesus?deep and hurt feelings. He is perplexed as he tries to understand why God is not there helping him. He praises God, then he says you helped our fathers who trusted in you in the past, so why are you not helping me now? He speaks of how those around him are mocking him and despising him.

Verses 9 & 10 are hearting breaking as Jesus tells God that he was given to God from birth and that God is his God. Now I know that both false teachings of God being either a trinity or a ‘Jesus-only-God?is a blinder which prevents everyone from seeing that this is a man, Jesus, speaking to God, not to himself.

In verses 11, 12, & 13, Jesus lays out his trouble and again pleads with God to help him!

Ps 22:14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

Ps 22:15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

Ps 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Ps 22:17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. Ps 22:18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

Ps 22:19 But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

Ps 22:20 Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

Verses 14-18 tell of the many sufferings which Jesus goes through hanging on that cross. Can you imagine the horrible, unthinkable pain and agony of having all of your bones out of joint? See, we are not given this information in the NT. But it is true. When they lifted Jesus up and dropped that cross into the hole in the ground, and all his weight jarred down on his hands and feet, nailed to that cross, it jerked every bone in him out of joint. I have had my kneecap out of joint twice. It is truly horrible pain. It feels as broken as broken can be. Imagine all those people staring at him, jeering at him and mocking him. But the worse is that they pretend that God will not help him, insinuating to Jesus and those around him, that he really did not have faith in God. This is spiritual pain to Jesus. The piercing of his hands and feel, in verse 16, proves this is Jesus speaking.

In verses 19 and 20, Jesus again pleads with God to help him. Then he prays for his darling which I believe means his bride, as she falls into the hands of the evil dogs, which is wicked men. I believe that since Eve and Abel are included in Scriptures which are about Jesus, that this shows that they were also smitten in such a horrible manner. I believe this is showing that the same kind of death came to Eve because of Adam’s slandering and persecuting her. I know that only the people of God who have the true spirit of revelation will be able to see this, but I am responsible to teach the truth as God reveals it to me. Eve was persecuted and martyred for her righteous stand against Adam’s evil teaching that he was god. I fully believe that she was crucified as was Jesus. I see this in Scripture as I know it is given for both the past, present and future.

Ps 22:21 Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns. (Here Jesus prays for deliverance from the mouths of the lions, which is the devourers of God’s people. He acknowledges that he fully believes that God has heard him, even though he is seemingly not there helping him. Marvelous FAITH.)

Ps 22:22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. (Here Jesus prophecies, by faith, that he will yet declare the Name of God to the congregation of Saints.)

Ps 22:23 Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel. (Here Jesus shows great love for the God, who seems to be forsaking him right now. He admonishes all the seed of God to praise and fear the great God.)

Ps 22:24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard. (Here Jesus speaks of others who have been afflicted and assures us that God has not despised them. I fully believe this is proof that Eve and Abel were afflicted as was Jesus. It also shows that many others of God’s people faced and will face this persecution and affliction. But we are assured by this prayer of Jesus that God does not ignore this or hate us.)

Ps 22:25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him. (Here Jesus again speaks in faith that he will yet teach in God’s great congregation of Saints.)

Ps 22:26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever. Ps 22:27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. Ps 22:28 For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations. (In these verses, Jesus shows that the meek will ‘eat?the word of God and be satisfied with the understanding of it. They shall praise the LORD that seek him. Our heart shall live for ever. Precious promise given to us by Jesus as he hung on that cross! Then he shows that there will be a day when the entire earth will serve and worship the true God.)

Ps 22:29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul. (Being fat here means having the great store of revelation of the Word given to us to EAT, or understand. This is also prophecy that everyone who dies or goes down to the dust shall yet bow before the great God and that we are powerless to keep our own soul alive.)

Ps 22:30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. (This seed is the children of Jesus Christ. We are the Generation of Jesus Christ. This is the only seed which will ever serve the true God. This is another marvelous prophecy given by Jesus as He hung on that cross.)

Ps 22:31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

(The above is also prophecy that this seed will declare his righteousness unto the people yet to be born, and carry this truth on to all generations. What a marvelous Book.)

I have set up a new board to discuss the Book of Psalm.  This is such a large and mysterious book of praise, Prophecy and revelation, that I think it deserves a board all its own.

I have started this board with Psalm 22.

Anyone who desires to do so, may pick out something in Psalm and either teach on it or ask questions about is.

Lets explore this great Book and feed upon its great treasures!

Good Evening,
Sorry been away. Been busy at work. And by the time I get home I am bone tired.
I have moved on to Psalm 34. And that is also about Eve. See she is teaching the children about God. She knew about God. She was righteous. She is still teaching the children of today the way of GOD in Psalm 34.

I encourage all to read Psalm 34 tonight.

Have a good night.  Tweety

Dear Tweety,
I very glad to hear from you.  Hope you get rested and refreashed.  I was concerned about you!

I read something in Jeremiah over the weekend.  It is like this...and takes on a new depth of the Word.....very exciting.  Hope to find time to get into it and write it up soon.  I called you Sat. to talk about it, but you were out.

Read the full message I wrote on Psm 32.  It is wonderful!  and thanks for studying and getting into the revelation of God's word.  Thanks for putting me onto this marvel in the Word of God.

I dreamed something very deep about it this morning,  concerning the thing I started seeing in Jeremiah.  ...believe it or not, it is also chapter 32.  Isn't that something?

Same kind of a 'message-within-a-message'......in chapter 32.  I fully believe the entire word, especially the OT writtings, will be this same way.  It is a deeper level of understanding.

I simply must get into it and study it.  Have not had much time lately, but it is burning in my mind.  Especially after that dream this morning.
Good night.
Jo

Psalm One:

Ps 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Ps 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Ps 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Ps 1:4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Ps 1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. Ps 1:6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

This is a beautiful Psalm. I love to read this. To meditate in the law of God day and night is a deep and powerful way of life. Bearing fruit in his season, means in his lifetime, I think. Not failing, even in old age to be fruitful in the Word of God.

Think of the ungodly being blown away like chaff when the wheat is beaten out. They shall perish forever. Why do so many people ignore their eternal life until it is too late to do anything about it? Love the Psalms.

Dear Freeborn,
Since you have put Psalm 1 on here already, I would like to discuss this further.

Let us discuss what this first verse means:
Psalms 1:1 (KJV)
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

First of all a man will be blessed if he DOES NOT walk in the counsel of the ungodly. I guess many people out there either do not know that they are walking in the cousel of the ungodly. What is the counsel of the ungodly?  I guess I should write down what this means to me.

The cousel of the ungodly are people, things, events-that are designed to confuse, strike fear in, make on turn away from knowing what is the right thing to do, which would be to read the Bible for themselves, and realize that everything that they have been taught by the church is probably wrong. When will the people realize this? Maybe never. To listen to the counsel of the ungodly will lead a persons soul straight to hell. But these people do not know that they are being mislead. They are blinded by TV, Newspapers, internet, radio, etc. They are brainwashed into believing that what they print, announce, write are the truth. The ungodly will lead you astray and on a path where your soul is destined to burn in eternel hell. I have heard some preachers say that there is no hell! So if you hear that, why would one worry about what sins they committ? They could committ murder and every sin under the sun, and they will not be punished for it. That is how the ungodly counsel has blinded people of today and yesterday.

See, just because the WORDS of the Bible were written many hundreds of years ago, people today believe that those same words do not hold true today. It is ancient history. (Oh those poor people!). God never changes. His truth is for today also. That is also how the ungodly cousel has also mislead the already blind people into believing them. They lie and twist the truth. And the problem is that nobody, searches to see what the ungodly cousel say is the truth. They dare not! Why? They have no understanding. But if they read-they will get understanding and wisdom from the Word of God. But the ungodly cousel will not dare say that! They do not want to lose their audience. And if they lose their flock of blinded, unhearing, stiffnecked people-they would lose their money and everything that the money can buy.

Do you see why the fight is so strong my dear friend? But the WORD of God will prevail. His WORDS will never fade away. FEAR NOT! HE is always with us that truly desire to come out from darkness and into the light. He will hold our hand and guide all that want to come out from bondage and into grace. Remember we can lead a horse to water, but we can not make them drink.

Have a blessed day.  Tweety

You also can lead a fool to the water and he will not be baptize in the name of Jesus.

Ac 19:2 - He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

Have you obeyed Acts 2:38-----

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Since we are on Psalm 1. I just thought I would add this note about the blessed men.

What are blessed men? They are:
1. The men that live godly (Psalm 1:1, Psalm 106:3, Isa. 56:2).
2. Put their trust in GOD (Psalm 2:12, Psalm 34:8, Psalm 40:4, Psalm 84:12).
3. Have their sins forgiven (Psalm 32:1).
4. Are free from imputed sin (Psalm 32:2).
5. Respect not the proud (Psalm 40:4).
6. Do not listen to lies (Psalm 40:4).
7. Help the poor (Psalm 41:1).
8. Draw strength from God (Psalm 84:5).
9. Know how to worship God (Psalm 89:15).
10. Fear God (Psalm 112:1, Psalm 128:1).
11. Obey God's Word (Psalm 119:2).
12. Walk in wisdom (Prov. 8:32,34).
13. Hear Wisdom (Prov. 8:34)
14. The nation whose God is the Lord (Psalm 33:12)
15. Those who wait upon God (Isa. 30:18).

Eve knew all of this. She knew what GOD desired because she walked with GOD. Adam walked also with GOD. They both sinned. Were both punished, but just ONE that truly in their heart repented and was sorry for their sin against GOD. That was EVE. She IS the mother of all living. And she passed her seed down for all people, so they may come to the truth. She knew GOD and God knew her. Adam was just out there doing every evil under the sun. He never repented. That is the truth.  Tweety

Genesis 5

 1This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

2Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

Very good discussion, both Tweety and Larry.

Yes, to have ones sins forgiven, or remitted, one must obey water baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ....this is what the Word of God plainly says.

So all who refuse to obey, must not wish to have their sins remitted?????why?  why put off having your sins remitted, the one and only way the Bible says to do.

This is the very basic starting place, to be founded and settled on the solid ROCK,  JESUS CHRIST.

thanks for this good thread.  very enjoyable reading.
