Actually, it is speaking of neither Jesus nor the Holy Ghost. Go back to the first verse of ch.8. It shows there that it is speaking of WISDOM.

Now wisdom is a spirit or nature of God himself. He gave wisdom to many people. but it is the wisdom of God. It is his very thoughts and words.

It is his knowledge and how to use it wisely.

Jesus was given this spirit. But it existed before Jesus.

Now many do not realize that in prophecy, Jesus was there all the time, but not in actuality. God did possess Jesus in his own thoughts and prophecy. But he also possessed us all in his thoughts.

2ch 9:22

And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and WISDOM.

Now I gave this verse to show that even people of this earth possessed wisdom as a gift from God. Solomon did not have Jesus or the Holy Ghost, but he had wisdom from God.

Ezr 7:25 And thou, Ezra, after the WISDOM of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not

See, there Ezra also had wisdom of God.

Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is WISDOM; and to depart from evil is understanding.

So here we see that this WISDOM of God will cause one to depart from evil. The fear of the Lord, is this Wisdom.

this is a very good question.

Ps 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh WISDOM, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

See wisdom is a spirit which God gives to the righteous. When one's mouth spews out trash, mocking, smart-cracks, they are showing that they do not have God's wisdom and they are not righteous. They are filled with foolishness. They are a snare to people.

This is a good one, showing that it is escentially God's Word:

Pr 2:6 For the LORD giveth WISDOM: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

I find this one very interesting, in that it places WISDOM as A FEMALE:

Pr 7:4 Say unto WISDOM, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:

This is another one showing Wisdom to be a WOMAN:

Pr 9:1 WISDOM hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:

This one shows why most people cannot learn truth. It shows that these mockers in here cannot ever understand the truth:

Pr 14:6 A scorner seeketh WISDOM, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.

Now for the last one, and the one I wanted to show you that Jesus was GIVEN this spirit of Wisdom. This shows that Jesus himself is NOT THIS WISDOM, BUT IT IS A SPIRIT FROM GOD GIVEN TO JESUS.

Isa 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of WISDOM and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD
