I have often wondered about the verses Dt.18:15-22. I believe God is talking about
sending Jesus to the Jewish people. I also understand that the Jews rejected Jesus Christ because he did not meet the Jews requirements for being the MESSIAH.
Am I correct in stating that the above scriptures predicted Jesus coming to this earth?
Am if so, then God has fullfilled another promise that he made to us. Praise the LORD! Tweety

First of all Tweety, let we also welcome you to Buil On The True Foundation. So good to have you in here studying the Word of God with us and also so good to see you posting.

Now to answer your question, sure you are right, those scriptures are talking about Jesus. Here we try to prove everything with scripture so that we will not tell anyone wrong. To show you some scriptures to prove this is Jesus, let's go to the book of Acts.

Ac 3:20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

Ac 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
Ac 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

Ac 3:23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
Ac 3:24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
Ac 3:25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
Ac 3:26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

He said in
De 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

Now also to show with scripture that it was Jesus that it was referring to [ will put my words in his mouth ] in that scripture let, see if we can find it in the scriptures.

Joh 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I SPEAK these things.

Joh 8:38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
Joh 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I SPEAK therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I SPEAK.
Joh 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I SPEAK unto you I SPEAK not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
To me this proves without a shadow of doubt that it was Jesus that it was talking about in De. 18

That is a very good answser, Isaiah. We have this very thing is many of our messages. It is very true, that Moses prophecied here of Jesus.

Notice, he said God will raise up a prophet, from among thy BRETHERN. proving that Jesus was a human man, not God.
God said, I will put MY WORDS IN HIS MOUTH.

God put his words into the mouth of Jesus, and Jesus gave them to us to EAT. It is spiritual flesh, or food. it was God's Words, not the humanity of Jesus.

Jesus died. Thus it proved he was mortal. He did not possess immortality until God raised him up from the Dead.
He became the firstborn from the dead.........the first man in the image and glory of God,,,,,from among human beings.

Thank you for answering my question. It was told to me that the Muslims often quote this verse to say that God was talking about Mohammed. It is amazing that they take the OT and twist it and say it was Mohammed that said those things. Tweety

well Tweety, Satan sends out his workers to confuse, destroy and mislead the children of God.

God has set some of his warriers to help rescue those little sheep from the big bad wolves.

When one hears the word of the kingdom, and turns away from it, then Satan will devour them. But if they accept the Word and eat of it, and let it work in them, then they will grow up and also become warriers in the Army of the Lord.
and do not let anyone make you think that God does NOT have an army here now.

Yep, we are here on the job. We know that Mohammed is not our Saviour, He did not die for our sins, and God did not raise him up from the dead.
Nor did he ever place any other human man upon the SEAT OF GOD, TO RULE THERE WITH GOD, AS OUR GOD, EXCEPT HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST.

Now that is good news.
God's first son, Adam, rebelled against God, tried to become God, and ended up becoming Satan.

God's second Son, Jesus, humbled himself, became obedient to God in all things, even the death of the cross, and became our God.

Now isn't that beautiful? sure it is.

Read Job one and three. When the sons of God came to present themselves to God, guess who was there also? Satan. why?
