I would like to ask each of you, when do you think the following verses are speaking of? When were they or will they be fulfilled? What is it speaking about?
I would like to hear your thoughts on this.

Isa 35:1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
Isa 35:1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
Isa 35:2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.
Isa 35:2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.
Isa 35:3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
Isa 35:3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
Isa 35:4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.

Isa 35:5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Isa 35:5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Isa 35:6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
Isa 35:6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
Isa 35:7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
Isa 35:7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
Isa 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
Isa 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
Isa 35:9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
Isa 35:9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
Isa 35:10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Isa 35:10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

When is that speaking of? When was or will it be fulfilled? I hope some of you will give your thoughts on this chapter.

I am sorry that my CD has these verses doubled here. It does this in Isaiah a lot. I did not catch it in time to delete the extra verses.

I tried to do another one, and it will not let me delete the extra verses.

Freeborn, I think this is a 2 part prophesy. #1- It is speaking of Jesus. He fulfilled this prophecy, and the reason I say this is the many scriptures that I will post.

He made the lame to walk, the dumb to talk, opened blinded eyes, opened the ears of the the deaf.

Mt 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Mr 10:51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight Mr 10:52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.Mt 15:30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were LAME, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:

Mt 15:31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the LAME to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

Lu 7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the LAME walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Joh 9:1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth Joh 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Joh 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. Joh 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. Joh 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. Joh 9:6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, Joh 9:7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

Mr 7:31 And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis. Mr 7:32 And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him. Mr 7:33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue; Mr 7:34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. Mr 7:35 And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.

Mt 12:10 And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. Mt 12:11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? Mt 12:12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. Mt 12:13 Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

Joh 5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? Joh 5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Joh 5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. Joh 5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

Will give my answer to the 2 part after I give others a chance to say what they think.

That is exactly right, Axs. This is prophecy of the first coming of Jesus to this earth, as He established the New Testament Covenant.

that desert which blossomed and bloomed was the ones who had not been a people, but are now the people of God, the Gentiles upon whom His Name is called in Baptism.

We were that dry desert, which is now blooming as the Rose, with our Rose of Sharon.

All of these verses are about this true Nation of Jesus which he birthed. He is the one who gave life to us and gave us rivers of living water.

It is a beautiful chapter. It is a beautiful prophecy.

Thanks for the wonderful answer you gave. That is also a great message.

Jo
