Hi Freeborn,
this is about the proud women of Jerusalem.
Well, I see it this way: the seven women represent seven false churches, yet they want to wear the name of the one true church,the name of Christ.
Many churches call themselves "christian" churches, but they are not.
Their own bread, wearing their own apparel..seems to me like they don't really want to follow Christ, but do things their own way,their carnal way, like all kind of ceremonies, putting laws on their followers.
Makes me think of the seven sons of Sceva who tried to cast out a demon in the name of Jesus, preached by Paul, but they didn't know who Jesus was.
To take away our reproach: they want their sins to be forgiven, like to be called christians but don't live up to it.
Someone told me once that these seven women can be compared with the nowadays American women, wanting a husband in name only, but leading their own lives.But I see this as a wordly vision, not scriptural.Women don't seek a husband only to be married, but like a real relationship and a man who takes care of them.
Perhaps these seven women can be compared to the seven churches of Asia in Rev.chapters 1,2 3 ??

Eelya, you have it down pat! Amen! That is exactly what it means. It is prophecy for those seven churches, each full of hypocrites, who wish to be known as Christians, yet still live their own sinful lives to suit themselves. The one man they latch onto and ask to be allowed to go by his name, is JESUS. Yes, they want to 'claim' him, in name only. They will never obey him. Their own clothes surely means their own doctrine, not the Scripture truth. See, some go by the garb of Baptist, Methodist, Presberterian, Catholic, etc. They are clothed with their on false beliefs and sins. When you see the churches of today, all you see is silly 'women' laden with sins and lusts. Look at their fancy buildings. They spend millions on these buildings, then refuse to help anyone in need. they say they sin every day. If so, they are not Christians. But notice, when that seventh one is with them, then in that day the branch of the Lord will be glorious. It is showing that after the seventh one has run its course, then the beautiful Kingdom of the Lord will be set up on earth. No, it does not pertain to American women, or any other natural woman for that matter. It is these harlot CHURCHES named in Revelation. The one and only TRUE CHURCH IS THE ONE IN ACTS. They said, we will eat our own bread. See this is showing exactly what I deal with every day.... people 'claiming' to be of Christ, yet they teach or eat their own DOCTRINE. See, our spiritual food is our doctrine. So they are saying, we will never go by the word of God. We will go by our own church's false teachings. We will listen to ellen white, or we will listen to Matthew Henry, or Scofield, or Branham, or Dakes, or anyone else. But it is their own bread, not the bread Christ gives us from heaven. The internet, as well as the churches, is full of these folks. Yet they all claim to be 'married' to Christ. Unless we take on his name, in Baptism, be filled with his spirit, the Holy Ghost, and eat the bread of Scripture, then we are none of his. These women are not his true wife. They ask him to take away their reproace. What was a reproach to women? No being able to have a child. See, these 'women' (false churches) have 'dead' wombs. They cannot bear a child for God, their own inner self, being born of God. So they think if they can call themselves 'Christian' it will deceive God into allowing them into heaven. Great message. Sorry, I hit the send message button before I was through saying what I wanted to say. They want to feed themselves their own bread, instead of being fed on the bread of Christ. They want to clothe themselves in their own apparel, instead of being clothed in the righteousness of Christ. They want to be CALLED "Christian" but they do not want to BE Christian, in ALL their ways, "in spirit and in truth". That is, such Churches want to be called by the name of Christ, while they close their ears to the Biblical truth As Joie stated, you can see this all over the internet. |

That is so true Axs. They eat the poison of Asps. God said if we eat any deadly poison it will not harm us. That is the true Christains, because we will 'vomit' up their deadly doctrine and accept the truth as God reveals it. When we must fight and war continually every day with the same people, telling them exactly what the Word of God says, and they still refuse to 'eat' the truth, then they choose death for themselves. They will 'die' from the poison. but it is their own choice. We have fed them truth, and they refuse to eat. JO |

ISA 4:1 In that day seven women will take hold of one man and say, "We will eat our own food and provide our own clothes; only let us be called by your name. Take away our disgrace!" It is obvious that this is speaking of the end times because of the use of the phrase ''in that day.'' Seven is the spiritual number for spiritual completion of man. That is why we find seven churches in Revelation. ''Called by your name'' refers to the marriage contract. When the women ask the one man to ''take away'' their disgrace, there is only one way that can be done. He must marry them. I believe that end time believers will live in families made up of one man and seven women. This would be spiritually complete in God's eyes. |

Of course you would believe that for you are strictly carnal and death minded. You have no truth or ability to see any spiritual truth. You are a snake in the grass hiding to bite any simple passer-by. when I must fight devils like you, who threaten the true sheep of God, I always see some little sick sheep, who think they should pet their enemies and hate their shepherds. So they always turn against the one who is out there trying to protect them and save them from the evil serpent tongues of Satan- sent men like you. It is as if a person is surrounded by the enemy soldiers --who are out to maim and kill them, --and someone else is trying to defeat the enemies and save the person,-- and that person is so blinded by his words, that he turns and fights the very person who is trying to save him from the evil soldiers. Oh well. I must stay in the battle and war with God's enemies, so long as he allows me to live. Only hope someday, those sick sheep learn to listen to those who warn them of the big bad wolves, such as those who brazienly deny the name of Jesus over and over and over and call the precious Word of God full of lies and error. Sheep, of God, why is it that you cannot hear the warning from the watchmen? |

No, again you know nothing of spiritual truth. Only a good and true shepherd will risk his own life to save the sheep from big bad wolves, such as yourself. I think that if it is alright for men to have more than one wife, Jesus would have told us that in his preaching. He did correct many things and told us that is not how it is. why would he leave this important subject uncorrected? If he did nto say it is right to marry more than one at the same time, I think that is all we need to show us it is not right. |
