Freeborn,
I was reading Jeremiah on the way to work and stopped at Chapter 5. But I ran across this verse:

Jeremiah 5:13-17 (KJV)
5:13 And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them.
14 Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.
15 Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the LORD: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say.
16 Their quiver is as an open sepulchre, they are all mighty men.
17 And they shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread, which thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and thine herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein thou trustedst, with the sword.

What nation would GOD be speaking about here?
Tweety

The nation that God is speaking of here is the bringing in of the New Testament ( Grace). The mighty men were the Apostles. They came speaking another tongue ( speaking in tongues) that the Old Nation ( OT. law) could not understand.

Their quiver was the word of God coming out of their mouth

Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sin and receiving the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in another tongue as the Spirit GAVE THE UTTERANCE.

Tweety,
Thank you for this study.  As I read it, I left the computer, and asked God for the answer.  As God is my witness, He immediately revealed it to me.

The answer is posted as a new message, for It is a long messages.

Hope it blesses you.

Jo

Wow,  speak about being in one mind and one accord....as God is my witness,  (even though some will say I am lying, but I lie not)... This morning I read Tweeties question, and then minimized it and have kept it there all day.

I then left the computer and asked God what is the answer.  He immediately gave me the message, which I am just now going to post.

It is the very same answer as yours, only mine is 12 pages long!  Amazing that you gave the same answer in 7 lines!  Glory.

I have been writing and then stoping to clean some, all day.
But now it is finished and ready to post.

Thanks you, for this true answer.  It is solid proof that God gives us the very same thing.  When I came back and was ready to post my message,  (still have not done so),  I still had this minimized and so just brought it back up and posted #3, WITHOUT SEEING  THAT YOU HAD ALREADY ANSWERED IT.

I DID NOT SEE YOUR ANSWER UNTIL i HAD POSTED # 3.
sO now I will go post my answer to this question.

Even though it is the very same answer as you gave, I went into great detail, proving it.

Jo
