Hi Linda,
   There could be a long drawn out exposition but here it is easily said. God created Adam. Then He took a rib out of Adam and created Eve. So in short this is the beginning of man (mankind).
   Men and women are known in the Bible as mankind. Whenever one reads the Bible they should read it as a practical book in which every word is absolutely true and God breathed and inspired.
    Also when the Bible says man, men, he, him etc.., God means just that. When He says woman, women, her, she etc.., He means just that. God is quite capable of saying just what He means.
   I see no where where He created twicw in this short spave between the chapters and verses.
   True there were two times if that is what you're referring to. The time when HE created Adam first, then created Eve but they should never be considered as two creations of mankind.

Brother Steve,
God Created Man & Women TOGETHER in HIS Image and Likeness. Now if you are trying to say that GOD IS FLESH AND BONES AND HAS BLOOD running through his veins. Then you are wrong. Man today has never been in GOd's Image.
Except Jesus Christ. And that happened after he was resurrected from the grave.
We are made in Adam's image. Sinful man. That is the image that we are born in.
NOT GOD's!  Tweety

One creation Tweety, and one being formed from the dust of the ground, thereby confining us to planet earth.

Hi Tweety,

He didn't create man and woman together.  Adam was first created and then some time later, Eve.  Adam was created in the image of God and so was Eve, because God formed her from the side of Adam, and the two became one flesh.

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."  Gen 1:27.

He did not create them in his physical image.  God is a Spirit and has no physical image.

Jesus was not created in God's image. Jesus was not created.  He was incarnated. Jesus IS God.  "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word WAS God."  John 1:1.

Why are you denying what God clearly said?    And what is your scripture for your erroneous conclusion?

OK:
How can God have created man and Women Together in Gen: 1:26-27. Please read this very carefully. God Created man and women together at the same time in Gen 1:26-27. As you can draw from the verse below.

Genesis 1:26-27 (KJV)
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Now please answer me this question. If God made man and women together which is clearly indicated above, then how did man become ALONE (BY HIMSELF) in Gen. 2:18?

Genesis 2:18 (KJV)
18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone;
I will make him an help meet for him.

This clearly looks like Adam was alone. What happened to the women that was made in Back in Gen 1:26-27? Answer that question please! Oh Never mind-I found the answer: The Women was turned into a rib inside of Adam, I wonder when that happened? Well anyway-it looks like in Gen 2:21-23 God had to create women all over again from the rib of Adam. Here let me show you.
Genesis 2:21-23 (KJV)
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Now if these verses do not make you think that there were 2 diffrent creations. I think we all need to study some more.  Tweety
