Verse 16:  It pertains to both Adams.  first man, Adam, was cast down to hell and his kingdom fell, in that flood. All nations of this earth shook at the sound of that fall.
But then, when Jesus died on that cross, he also was Adam falling.  He was first-man, Adam, just as much as the first one, because he was a MORTAL MAN.

all mortal men are first-man Adam.  Jesus took that form of sinful man into hell and did away with it.  At the time of his death, this whole earth fell apart, as it did when the first Adam fell in that flood.

Now mind you, the one we call Adam was already dead at the time of the flood, but all men were Adam.  So it was ADAM who died in that flood.

As in Adam all die.

Jesus died in Adam.

But in Christ shall all be made alive.  That is the resurrected Son of God, no longer in the image of Adam, sinful man.

The nations shook at the sound of his fall.  the heavens turned black, the sun stopped shinning, the earth shook, the rocks rent.......why cannot people see this?

Tweety, you are beginning to see into the secrets of God.
So is jon.  Glad to see it.  you are both blessed by God.
