....all that drink water.....refers to the Christians.  We are drinking at the living fountain of water of life.  We are the ones who have the COMFORTER, THE  HOLY GHOST.

 

We are comfortered in this natural life, by his Spirit.

 

the TREES are peoples.  They all fainted, or DIED, for Adam, when he fell in that flood.  They also died, except for those eight.

 I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed

 

That is speaking of when God stopped the rain and let the earth dry up again.  That is all that the GREAT WATERS could be referring to.  restrained the floods....that is what he is speaking about.

this is exactly why I say men did not leave the Garden of Eden until that flood.  I fully believe that society lived on in that Garden until that flood.

 

This is why there were so many people in that Garden.  They had multiplied to millions.  Only God knows how many.  But 'they' went out of that garden, in that ARK.
